Hey guys and welcome to todays video where we are talking the best winter sunscreens which will take your skincare and skin protection to the next level in winter.. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.. Love you all x
The pop at 15:04 looks like the pore gave birth!! Thought you would like it/them too. ☺ ua-cam.com/video/_awpj4LSUuI/v-deo.html&lc=Ugyr2bBid5_W2UCOHXh4AaABAg
I am convinced. I need a different sunscreen for winter. I put a million layers of hydration on my face in winter. I would like something that would protect 6-8 hours (the time I am exposed during the UK winter). I don't trust K-Secret because it is sold in the US direct. My brain says: sold in the US/UK/EU direct = guaranteed stinging eyes. All that to say: does the K-Secret sting the eyes?
The first one looks really interesting. However, I am a die hard MAS sunscreen user! It just works for me. It wears well with my makeup and if I forget my moisturizer I’m still good for the day. Size, price and formula can’t be beat in my opinion lol! Thanks Rob.
I just want to say how much I love your recommendations! Everytime I need advice on skincare I look for your videos! Thanks for all you do 😊 The products you've recommended have been amazing!
I have dry skin but I don't like to use sunscreens that make my face shiny. Especially if I have to go to work. So I use sunscreens that have been formulated for oily skinned people, provided I apply good cream underneath...
This is such a good hack thanks for sharing, particularly great if you like the more matte look which as someone with super oily skin too I can appreciate.. love x
I apply sunscreen at least twice a day year around because I work outside. My first application varies on what I use, but my second application is usually a sunstick like Mary & May Vegan Peptide Bakuchiol 50 ++++ , it's an easy no touch way to stay protected with added benefits of 25 peptides in the formula
Brilliant recommendations Rob as always!! IN LOVE with MAS sunscreen no white cast/no sunscreen smell whatsoever. Curious to try the K secret sunscreen though - it’s looks/sounds great! Has anyone asked them what the PPD is? Sending lots of love xx
I use sunscreen each day no matter the time of year, but in the winter I’m pumping up my moisturizer so that helps keep my skin hydrated each day when it is cold here in Canada!!🇨🇦 I don’t reapply enough though probably in the winter..lol
Super curious on your thoughts - my derm said I don't need to wear sunscreen if the UV rating is less than 3. In Prague where I live, it's basically UV 1 all winter...
Your skin type is relevant- I once got sunburned in 30 minutes on a cloudy October afternoon…. I have to wear sunscreen all year round if I’m outside at all during the day. BUT I also have days where I don’t see sunlight at all in the winter so I don’t bother with spf then.
I think it depends where you are, what you do and your skin type.. with a super low UV in theory your skin will naturally have an SPF which should be fine but I think applying a light amount anyway will do no harm.. I am sure this divides derms the way it does everyone.. sending love x
Some dermatologists say that the reason they encourage people to wear sunscreen every day is that when people have established a habit of doing it, it will make it more likely that people remember to wear an spf when it's necessary. Makes sense. I live in the Nordics, on sea level. The UV index is between 0 - 1 during winter where I live. I don't use spf every day. Only when I'm outdoors in the mountains. It all depends where you are.
In Canada, I’ve been using Garnier Green Lab’s Brightening Serum that is a combo SPF 30/Moisturizer/ Vitamin C serum and it’s been perfect for winter! 💚
Hi, Rob! I am trying to but your serum, it's always sold out! Will it disapear? I want it so bad! I already have 3 bottles of sunscreen, which are my favorites, and I want the serum! Please restock!
Hi Hun.. thank you so much for your support.. unfortunately the serum always sells out the same day it's put back in stock.. we are working hard on increasing the supply and it will be back with a higher amount available really soon 😄.. love xx
Thank you! This is super helpful as I'd been trying to source something more hydrating as my skin is prone to dryness. You're spot on as usual & I'm grateful for your timing & advice! 💗
I tend not to reapply in the winter because I work from home, its cloudy so I leave my blinds closed. The first one you mentioned looks very interesting, hope youre staying warm!
Quilty...most of the days when Im outside only in the early morning takin my boy to school (and maybe walk home ) I dont wear sunscreen 😕But in the weekends when I have to be on the mountains sledgeing all day with my son, MAS sunscreen is definetly the one I dont forget and its perfect for my combination skin!
Hey Rob! Your skin is looking AMAZING ❤. I have super dry and frequently dehydrated skin, worsened in the Midwest winter. I've been using many of your recommendations with great success, but I'm wanting to try something newnso this video is super helpful!! I recently bought the k-secret collagen multivalm (thanks to your video) and love it, so I just placed an order for the K-secret sunscreen! I'm 100% confident it will work- I haven't tried anything you've mentioned and had it not work ❤. Definitely appreciate you!!
Remember that with the snow today, UV light bounces back up again. Although my favourite for all seasons is the MAS but in the winter I don't bother reapplying as the daylight isn't long enough 😂
Awww thank you so so much hun and thats a good point the snow can be one of the biggest risks when it comes to bouncing rays back onto the skin (especially when skiing as I found out the hard way lol) love x
Hi Rob, really sorry if I’ve just missed it but, I was wondering if you have any tips for skin recovery (especially around the nose) following a cold? I know you’ve had one recently and I’m really curious as to how you’ve healed your skin!
I just had a cold as well and I'm a big fan of Cerave healing ointment. Just a little bit on the raw areas before bed or in between nose-blowings works great! Plain Vaseline works too but the Cerave is a thinner texture and has less of that petroleum smell. 🙂
I use a product by a Spanish lab called Cantabria Labs. Biretix Hydramat day it’s called, it combines moisturizer+retinoids+SPF. Not the best smell since it’s fragance free but a lot of people have noticed great improvement in my skin texture! I wish it was 50+ since it’s only 30. Can be a little pricey (almost €20 online) but it really suits my morning skincare quite well. I noticed my skin becomes sensitive in cold weather so that extra moisturize is very welcome!
Hi dear. Love your videos. can you suggest good/best under eye creams/gels for 40+ age mature skin. Price is not a concern. You can suggest high end products too.
Hi hun, thank you so much for your kind words and if price isnt the issue I think the best on the market is the medik8 crystal retinal ceramide eye cream which has been amazing for fine lines and wrinkles and so hydrating.. hope this helps xx
@@MadAboutSkin hey thank you! 🙏. Anything other than retinal/retinol. I am lazy on sunscreen and hence want something which does not demand sunscreen application. Any suggestions for under eye creams without retinal/retinol.
I'm sticking to the MAS sunscreen year round, as it's the only one that never stings my eyes. It's the first week of summer here, and it's already 29 degrees Celsius, 84 Fahrenheit. 😅
Yay I am so so glad its working so well for you hun and I forget that half the world is going into summer lol, that sounds super warm so stay cool.. sending Love x
Hi 👋🏼 SPF 🧴 all year around. Every day. Even if I’m not going anywhere 😉 But I mostly don’t reapply it though 🫣 I just absolutely love the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++ 50 ml I feel that it is hydrating. It is lightweight. Doesn’t change my makeup finish. Works wonderful under the eyes and under concealer as well. I just bought my third tube 😊 And it works for me both summer and winter. Have you tried it?
I find my skin is so much more sensitive in winter - things that don't bother me at all can be pretty problematic in colder weather. I WISH I could use Krave's new sunscreen - I'm sorry they had to use the US approved ingredients, because it does feel nice. (I tried it because I love a lot of Krave's products, but it was an immediate, 'Nope!') Until I discovered Korean sunscreen, I pretty much had decided to die young or hide from the sun entirely, because I deeply, truly loathe every US-oked sunscreen I've ever tried. I couldn't believe how much better other sunscreens could be. So I stick to those. I think the Skin1004 one works best for me, summer & winter. Beauty of Joseon's too - I almost think the Skin1004 is gentler, but I'm not sure. I'm trying Numbuzin's now but i haven't used it enough to know how it is longer term. It's certainly light!
During the week, I usually reapply once before my lunch break--since I usually go out to my car for some peace and quiet. I hope early '23 is the last time I ever get that awful driver's tan! Weekends, totally depends on what I'm doing!
Yeah some of the newer ones are long lasting but always read the manufacturers instructions which will tell you how regular you need to :) glad this video helped and sending love x
I am not sure off the top of my head but I would think you could find somewhere on google.. hopefully it will be stocked in more places in the future.. sending love x
Hi Rob ! Could you please review the Niche Labs - Theramid A-Retinoade ? It has 0.1 Retinal + 0.06 Retinyl retinoade at an interesting pricing point and is crulty free. Would like to know your thoughts! Almost only follow your recommendations for new skincare. Thanks for all of your work!
@MadAboutSkin I’m a elderly woman the Drmtlgy universal sunscreen works well for winter for-me BUT I can’t find a thicker moisturizer for winter that doesn’t cause mila on my eyebrow and on cheek bone area already tried, drunk elephant protini and Skinfix triple lipid Please help me out😢
For some reason the FDA refuse to.. Obama even changed the rules to enable them to quick test new filters to bring them to market and they refused to.. its a little ridiculous and its US consumers who are paying the price which is such a shame xx
Yello, gorgeous! 💜🤍 This will be the first winter I’m going to wear sunscreen, so far all I know that most tinted ones are making it worse 🥵, in my case. Wish I could try MAS SPF, though I believe the shipping to Ukraine is currently unavailable 😢 Numbuzin though rocks! The best winter sunscreen for me and my very dry skin is the LRP uvmune 400 moisturizing cream. It works like magic. ✨
Thanks for watching and sharing x

The MAS sunscreen is the real winner here. You get a real bang for the buck and it provides that very necessary in winter built in moisturizer.
Oh thank you so so much and it took a lot of work but it was totally worth it when I hear how much people love to apply it.. love x

My favourite is Garnier Ambre Solaire Hydra 24h Protect ♥️ It’s very moisturising so I apply over a peptide serum.
and I should have said it’s SPF50 and leaves no white cast once it’s soaked in.
