It is important to know that Angie has discussed and informed us that she takes HRT to relieve menopausal symptoms. While this is effective, HRT is also very effective at improving skin quality by increased skin hydration, skin thickness by increasing collagen and overall skin and bone health. People on this therapy are more likely to be able to use higher strengths of vitamin C, some exfoliants and tretinoin by both easing into it but HRT has an important added advantage to tolerate and mitigate sensitivity.
She looks great for both skin and facial bone structure as a result of both tretinoin and HRT as the heavy hitters in anti- aging.

Naturium makes an amazing peptide moisturizer. Actually it’s more like a thick serum or light weight lotion….. and it’s really, REALLY GOOD! Great ingredients, zero irritation and it leaves your skin feeling amazing! I work 12 hr shifts and when I get home my skin is baby soft, even in the Winter. It’s hard finding a light weight peptide lotion, especially at drugstores. Oh, and it sits beautifully under sunscreen.

I added things over time…like a vitamin C serum in the morning and a retinol at night. And I definitely don’t do it everyday. I do my best and keep it moving🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ I think hydration, sleep, nutrition and lifestyle matter more than anything you use topically.

Moisturizing sunscreen - dual purpose and saves time. Sunscreen is #1 anti-aging, cancer prevention must use topical. You can have the best diet and exercise routine but if you don’t use sunscreen you’re just exposing skin to DNA damage.

If you try the R&R sunscreen, be aware it is exactly like a foundation with oil in it an smells like paint. First time I used it I nearly died that I spent $28 dollars on it. All that being said, I LOVE IT. Once it dries down it works great under makeup but makes me look very oily (I have normal/dry skin) so I just use a little powder an it looks great, but boy at first sight its shocking. I can't use it on my neck because it leaves foundation stains on my collars but love it for the face.

The Australian Gold is indeed really mattifying but I love it in summer when I use a decent amount of other sunscreen which is hydrating for my mature skin and then just a little bit of the Australian Gold to mattify and tone the skin. It is perfect and I don't need any foundation or skin tint. If used on its own it would be too drying an honestly too tinted if used in a proper amount.

I, too, am of your age and have major sun damage from days where we tanned with baby oil or with Hawaiian Tropic Tanning oil! I started a skincare routine only 2 years ago, so I look terrible. My nasolabial folds are so deep and my pores are huge. I hope that one day, I can look as good as you do. I also worry because in 2015, I was diagnosed with Graves disease which led to my face looking very gaunt. I also had the worst acne as a teen and dermatologists back then would prescribe benzoyl peroxide, put you under a heat lamp, apply rubbing alcohol and use tweezers on each pimple! If only I'd been born in another decade where we now know more about skin damage. Thank you for your wonderful, informative videos!

I love the SCINIC super mild sun essence sunscreen. That is my daily sunscreen because it doesn’t irritate my skin and is a light moisturizer that has no pigment and works great under make up. Because I don’t wear foundation when I travel, I travelled with my R&R sunscreen over the summer and something strange happened. The viscosity completely broke and it is as thin as water. The pigment actually separates and comes out of solution. It is still usable and looks fine on my face if I shake it very well, but it comes out of the dropper as thin as water. I have to squeeze it into my palm because it runs too fast off my fingers. So strange. Either way, between the Neutragena 100spf and the R&R, I was able to make it through an entire summer in the Florida sun all day, every day, without a sunburn. That is nothing short of a miracle in my opinion. Thanks, Angie.

If it gets anywhere near the orbital area of my eyes It is so uncomfortable and burny. Also it feels pore cloggy on me. I had similar with Australian Gold so its not for everybody. Hormone replacement therapy is very effective at preventing bone loss - which has a good impact on facial bone structure to look younger longer.
You can have many facial procedures, but if your bone structure is weakened it will show up in the face and nothing will help once gone too far. Weight bearing exercises and HRT are best to keep bones strong and maintain your youth.

I don’t understand the benefits of using vitamin C. I have tried several different bottles of it, and different brands, I’ve stuck with it and was consistent, but I never saw any results at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have no idea what it’s supposed to be doing to my skin.

Hi Angie! I also use the timeless 20% vitamin C serum. The budget dermatologist on UA-cam states to use the L’Oreal Paris 3.5% pure glycolic acid cleansing gel prior to applying the timeless vitamin C. She claims it is a must in order for the timeless vitamin C to be effective. Is that really necessary?

I have a hard time convincing my 62 year old mother to wear sunscreen, even though she was a sun worshiper and now wants to use anti-aging products. I always tell her that she can't use them if she isn't going to use sunscreen! Any tips for getting her on board or do I just convince her to keep trying different products?

You are THE leader in the mature beauty space and I would love to see you lead the way in replacing the term “anti-aging” with something that does not imply there’s something wrong with us aging people. The alternative to aging is not good. Aging-well products has a ring to it. Aging-beautifully, ageless beauty, mature beauty, positive aging….

You're the real MVP, as always!🙌🏻 I just bought Olay's Super Serum a couple of days ago and was so excited to see it in your video! I'm also disappointed that the vitamin C in it isn't L-ascorbic acid. Since I'm assuming the vit. C isn't doing anything, I'm using it with my Paula's Choice Boost, even though you wouldn't normally use more than one vitamin C at a time. I'm having no irritation so far, and I have sensitive skin and rosacea. I wish the Super Serum didn't have fragrance. If it weren't for those two issues, it would be so much better! Thanks for this highly informative video!💖

Hi Angie!! My name is Paty and I have been following you forever!! I love you and your videos! I have been following your skincare routine for years now and I am so happy with the results!
3 months ago I started using Agency ‘s future formula and the dark spot formula, and I can’t believe the improvement on my melasma!
The only sad part is that since I started using Agency I stopped my Vitamin C, the S6 serum, lactic acid, and Q10 serum!
Last week I decided to go back and use them, since I have acclimating so good with the agency I thought I could go back to using them, but OMG 😳 my skin was very mad at me (like you say 😅).
Will I ever go back to using them?
How can I slowly bring them back?
    Any advice?
Thank you Angie for all you do, to make it easy for us to take care of our skin!
    Hope to hear from you!

    • @AngieHotandFlashy
      @AngieHotandFlashy  Рік тому +2

Hi Patricia, you should be able to add the other serums in slowly over time, but you have to go really slow especially with the vitamin C and lactic acid! I'd stop those 2 for now but see if you can continue with the S6 & Q10. If that goes well for a month or so then introduce the vitamin C serum using it only one morning a week for the first month. If the 20% doesn't work you can use the 10% version from Timeless. Then work in 1 day per week per month. When your skin is acclimated you can do the same with the Lactic acid (but start with the 5% instead of the 10%). Good luck!! xo ~a.

I will definitely be trying the Naturium Retinaldehyde Serum and thank you for letting us know about it. I was using the Maelove Moonlight Retinaldehyde Serum and changed to the Mychelle Remarkable Retinal Serum. It is a bit more expensive than the Maelove, but isn't as sticky and applies much smoother. I started using the Cocokind Ceramide Barrier Serum when I ran out of my Niod Survival and I like the Cocokind very much. And, as always, I am anxious to try any new sunscreens you discover. Some work for me and some not. The Undefined R&R is a bit too greasy for me but my daughter loves it so it wasn't a lost purchase. My current favorite is one you turned me onto this summer, the First Aid Beauty Liquid Mineral.

I got the Naturium Retinaldehyde and I love it! Thanks! I went out to Stylevana and ordered the Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Sunscreen and I really like that too (thank you for the discount code). While I was on the Stylevana site I wondered around looking and found a product called All Kill Bubble Pack Cleanser. Since I fight large pores, I decided to try it. Holy Cow! What a difference it made with my pores after only one use! Definitely going to keep using that!

What a super video...thank you so much. After finding your videos on UA-cam during the Covid pandemie, I started my journey with skincare. Rather late, I must admit (I am now mid 60's, and obviously with a lot of sun damage)but the last couple of years have changed my skin!
Unfortunately, I am so sad that some products you recommend on you videos are not available here in Germany, especially your products from Agency😢
I'm still looking for a good alternative.
