Hello, here are my First Impressions of the new Zoologist release. Please enjoy #cologne #fragrance #perfume #nichefragrance #firstimpression #Zoologist #nicheperfume #niche
Congratulations for your collection. Good stuff as always! If I had one sample of at least 20 of years bottles I would be the man more Happy of the Planet.
Lovely 1st impression with an accompaniment of chirps...very seasonal. I expect the next late night livestream we'll have some owls hooting in the background!😆 Above and beyond Rich, you're spoiling us!
Ancient Egyptian priests would steep the blue lotus into wine. The blue lotus in particular is more scarce these days, hence why it’s so expensive and probably why it’s not used more often. Great first impression, my sample should be arriving today
@@RichMitch been wearing it for about an hour, and I like the opening quite a bit. Much lighter than I expected, but wears very nice. Dries down to be pretty musky so I’d prob spray this on clothing to keep the top notes around longer. I’ll most likely get a bottle
@@RichMitch yea I love victor as a person and as far as the indies go…sultan pasha is in a much higher tier (in my opinion) than some more well known perfumers. I think they executed this beautifully and I’m a sucker for blue lotus in general, even as a stand alone material. The aldehydes/incense reminds me of that Givenchy fragrance from the 90s that I’m not crazy about, which is my only qualm
Zoologist sent me a sample of this with my order. If you guys see this, thank you! It’s nothing like I was expecting. I need more wearings to decide what I think.
Aldehydes are very heavy. It doesn’t smell as middle eastern as I expected. It’s deceptively light and smooth. I accidentally filled up the room. I get a pretty big urinal cake note too (in a good way).
Great review! May I ask if this Sacred Scarab is in the same league as Elie Saab's Amber or Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan, or even Andy Tauer's Marocain? I am wondering why I hear reviewers warning not to blind buy, or that this can be challenging. I am looking for clean amber scents. Thanks.
Nothing like those mate. You can get samples from the zoologist website, that's what I did! Clean amber scents 🤔 let me have a think and I'll get back to you
I get Chanel 5 Premiere vibe from it a lot, plus the incense, greenish note, some dirty note and faint oils - I Cannot feel the wine or "sacred oils" . There is something missing here, maybe he should add just a little bit of honey - there is no sweetness whatsoever here :( I enjoy it, but idk yet if I will be purchasing the full bottle. It requires more testing.
Try entering Greece as the destination country and see what happens :D. Didn't expect any better since our postal system is a joke. Guess I'll have to wait till it's actually released in Europe then.
Most excellent first impression! ❤️🙏This seems like the type of fragrance that is so unique it takes time to understand (at least it would to me) 🤷🏻♀️
Sultan is planning on releasing spray versions of his compositions later on this year . Great first impressions Rich 👍🏻
Exciting times! Hopefully he does a sample set

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoy 🙏🏻

There was a pheasant giving it big licks the other day, might make an appearance again 🤔

Nice! Good knowledge.
Let me know what you think about it

@@fosco3183 outrageous, a bottle. I'm still on the fence. I like that lotus note as a general thing

Birds in the background, too. 👌
EDIT: just as I typed that you mentioned it. Perfect!
🐦 👀
Those base notes make it sound like it would have a really nice dry down.
It's smelling nice right now, can't lie. Definitely worth a sample
The artwork is probably what I’d like the most! 😍 Thanks for your thoughts!😊
Fingers crossed he comes out with some posters
I’m a fan of short reviews , 👍 nice job
Thanks man 👨🏻
Greetings from Portugal!! I live in Lisbon.
Nice reviews.
Hello Lisbon 👋🏻 nice to meet you. Thank you!

I agree. Further testing required

Interesting. I agree it's not what I expected and I was pleasantly surprised by it
My thoughts! I did not expect heavy aldehydes - NO 5 type...
To be enterely PC I'll say that Zoologist is not for me. But your notes on the galbanum and juniper in the base got me... curious.
Juniper in the base has baffled me, very intriguing.
You don't have to censor yourself here 🙏🏻
I know the artwork is a nod to Egyptian culture....but I always seem to think Samurai. 🏯 Arigatōgozaimasu! 🙇♂
It's got that Samurai helmet thing going on, doesn't it

@@RichMitch Cheers for the guide!
Oooohh!!! A sprayable perfume from Sultan Pasha? Gotta try that...
It's not bad at all
@@RichMitch Hopefully Bloom will stock it so I don't have to pay for shipping from Canada!
Thaaaaaaaaaanks Rich! 😊
Most welcome 😂😂😂

I was expecting something much darker and deeper
Damn Sacred crabs, Lol. Gotta try this

Scary scabs...🤢
@@LEgoiste 😟
Egyptian scarabs are dung rolling beetles, so the name makes me laugh 😂
💩🪲
The blurb does mention the insects' poop rolling activities 🤣
Any way to get a sample of this in EU without paying the $60 shipping fees from their original website?
I got my sample shipped for 8 dollars canadian from the website, don't pay 60 for a sampel
Shipping is $9 for a single sample to the UK, $60 seems wrong!
@@severalgecko yeah that's what I paid
