They are multiple world champion march as wel as show in the major lague (world division) on WMC Kerkrade (World Music Contest, like the Olympics but than for concert bands, marching bands and show bands). K&G Leiden is one of the best bands of The Netherlands, they are always in a sort of healthy competion with Advendo Sneek, DVS Katwijk or Adest Musica Sassenheim and other high ranked bands.
This just made my day. You and my hometown marchingband.
They won the WMC at Kerkrade. That’s like the Olympics for marching bands. 😉
Unfortunaly we didn't win that year, but this year we're going for first place👌🏼

@@lukaswagenaar 3 bands who are my favorites; K&G, Pasveerkorps and Advendo. About 35 years ago I played with the band DEMO from Houthalen Belgium. They won it in the 70’s ☺️

As a former bass drum player I am sure that the bass drum is the most important instrument, marching, change in speed everything is given by the bass drum.
