@@johng89 yes! They just announced that they’re FSA/HSA approved like a week ago! Which is great because I always have some money left over at the end of the year I’m I have to stock up on band aids and random things 🤣. Thanks for check out the video 🤙🏽
Thank you for a great review. I just ordered 2 mission ones for travel for husband and I. We don't really need days marked. I'm just planning on tossing enough meds for the entire trip into each of the 3 compartments lol I got to take advantage of the BF sale which helps and just hoping for quality and durability for years to come. We've gone through too many of those plastic ones you showed, and I'm just tired of replacing them. I think as is with many things, these have to work for your particular needs, and if they do, then they are worth the money 😊
@@DH-pt2fs thanks for checking out the video! I carry the Mission and the Nano on me everyday, You’re definitely going to prefer these over the plastic ones!
I was looking for a quality pill case that would work well for travel and found the Ikagi cases. Bought mine a couple weeks ago. No doubt they are expensive and even a bit heavy but they work perfectly for what they were designed to do.
@@kellymorast6460 they’re the best for traveling! I don’t have to worry about my meds or vitamins spilling into my bag or the case itself getting destroyed. Definitely worth the investment!
I’ve really contemplated these cases. I, like you prefer to buy quality items that stand the test of time in form and function. While they have the aesthetic appeal for me my decision to go with the Matador pill cases mostly because they are a fraction of the weight, water resistant, and durable as heck. Aesthetically they are a definite compromise however it came down to travel when carrying 4 pill cases. The weight saving is considerable (like 1lb difference), speaking from experience. One small case wouldn’t be an issue for EDC however I do prefer that is nearly waterproof. I had water intrusion on Mystery Ranch bag once and I don’t want that to happen again. This is especially important for critical or expensive medications I imagine.
@@Brandon-0028 definite compromises for sure, I got caught in a torrential downpour in Thailand and had my medication get ruined, definitely see the usefulness of those Matador containers.
Ouch! I hear you! That’s a huge inconvenience. Normally I rely on my bags and usually always carry Missiion Workshop for this reason and they’ve never failed me in the PNW. That one case I mentioned with MR, it hit got through to my med kit and a lot of it had to be replaced.
I have 2 issues with the weekly container that make it difficult to use even though it looks and feels great. 1, I don't like that you have to open the whole case to get to the the later days in the week. If you're good about starting your cycle on the correct day then maybe that not a huge issue. But if your first day is Sunday and say your trip starts on a Wed, then you either need to leave the first 3 compartments open or risk pills falling out when you open it. 2, you can't see the days of the week unless the container is open and that particular compartment is empty. It would be better if the days were marked on the lid, but then it wouldn't look as nice.
@@tommysshih yeah opening the whole container to get to the later days can be annoying. I believe you can engrave the lid because others have voiced the same concern, that just how I chose to do it but I agree it wouldn’t look as nice.
I appreciate the style and think I would like it a lot, but we don't always travel the same day of the week. I wish it had plates that could be snapped into the bottom to represent the first day you needed it to be.
@@svlazyday1991 that would be a really innovated feature! I think they have a request page on the website. I’ll submit that if you don’t lol. That could be very handy.
I own both the weekly and Nano cases. My only gripe is the weight! The Weekly is very Heavy!! It could have been built a little lighter IMHO……. And it’s expensive but quality is awesome. As is Life!!
I see these as useful/worth the money if you have some chronic condition that requires you take meds daily. Our pills all come in blister sheets (yes, even prescription meds, you just need to show the prescription to get them) so I carry some pain killers, antacid, diarrhoea pills and mild cold meds, together with some bandaids and a few condoms in an Alpaka Zip Pouch - that's my travel med kit. I always have 70% alcohol too, but that's in a dispenser hanging on the outside of my bag, since I also use it as hand sanitiser.
@@houserhythm yeah these are very cool, use for vitamins but they do add considerable weight to my load out. Trade off because they’re a joy to use and look at 🤣
@@Marcoskicks yeah I hear that, they do offer free engraving quite often as part of their marketing and promotions but that’s a waiting game you’ll have to play lol.
I appreciate a well made gadget. But ... waaaaayy too expensive, you cannot see the compartments to check which might be out of pills, as others have mentioned, you have to open all the way to access the final compartments, etc. And that's for just a 1 week, getting a double for AM/PM makes it even more expensive. Slash the prices by 50-60% (see the matador case another mentioned here) and have a clear window in the cover/slider and I'd consider! Also, stop it with the extra engraving fee on top of an already sky-high priced product.
@@erikschmith7488 to each as own 🤷🏽♂️. I have the matador one also, these are exceptional in their own right but like you pointed out, not without their downsides for sure. I really enjoy using mine, hard to judge something you’ve never had in hand or used.
