Not a GoRuck dupe, just a ruck :) GoRuck copied the design of the medical assault rucks made by LBT, Inc. back during the earlier days of the wars in the Middle East. It's now become an archetype used by GoRuck, Tasmanian Tiger, Chuyen, etc. Rucks have been around in the military world for decades, GoRuck just helped make it a civilian trend and Chuyen has been showing just how nice it can be which is great. Great video, love mine.
Your video, especially the coverage of the water bottle pockets made my decision - I'm gonna get one! I've been looking for something to carry essentials and this is it! I love the detail and quality you put into the video!
This bag is so good. Bought it on a whim because of the price and it’s my most used bag. It’s not perfect for a lot of reasons, but it also just works. Fits just enough stuff, stands on its own, and is damn versatile. The water bottle pockets + clamshell opening and simplicity really make it. I could do without the inner mesh pocket and rarely use the front pocket for the reasons you mentioned. But at least you got extra spots for a snack in a pinch 😁
@@mikogk l definitely agree with you, it’s not perfect but does a lot of thing right for the price. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video 🤙🏽
Shoutout to peeps who bring their lunch! I always check to see if the bag will hold a lunchbox, would like to see whats in your lunchbox (for comparison reasons)

I do welcome competition. Recently V3.0 had QAPs as standard and then Goruck followed up not too shortly after. It breeds a fair price point and competitive changes for the consumer.
@@Kwisss valid point, hopefully CT making thoughtful changes here does keep pushing some of the other brands to follow suit instead of keeping the same design and changing more.
@@JonCross honestly the sizing is the only that kept me from getting any of the recent drops. Love the bag but it’s difficult for me to use for my EDC requirements. What’s the officer got different?
Getting it to a shop and add 2 vertical zippers for that front pocket and add on a loop field. Something I wouldn't do on my goruck because it voids my warranty. On this one would do immediately. Might check one out.
$85 for this well constructed and designed of a bag is wild. I've no use case for one (would be nice to see a 30L in the future), but this is a clear Goruck killer in my eyes. No sense in paying >$300 when this exists?!
I just got the CT21 Assassin second hand. My Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6 15.6 inch gaming laptop barely fits the laptop compartment. I can get the zipper around the bag but it's very tight and worrisome. The squared off edges of my computer pushes against the aquaguard zippers and I'm scared of it damaging my laptop if it's dropped or bumped up against the wrong way. It's very unfortunate because I was so excited to use this bag with my laptop but I moved the laptop in the main compartment of the bag.
@@JM356 I see what you’re say but I found it to quite comfortable. Maybe is your have muscles (🥲) it might hit your traps weirdly but never has a comfort issue with this bag.
@@skinfiddler these bags can absolutely be used for rucking. There’s no dedicated plate pocket so you’ll have to put plates in the laptop compartment. The inside sleeve is more for a water balder or iPad. As far as size, if it’s strictly for rucking I say 15 but if you want a bag that you can edc and ruck, go with the 21 imo.

What are the exact dimensions of your “woodbook pro” that you fit in the laptop compartment? Can a 15x10” laptop fit?
