This band is perfect in every way. The instrumentals are incredible and they have two godlike vocalists.
+BrickWolfy 3 godlike vocalists actually ^^ ... Lucas D'Angelo (the guitarist with shorter hair) have a pretty nice voice too. You can hear him mostly on "Legend Never Die" or in his old band "black curtains"

+Zeke Sykes They're Schecter Blackjack SLS C-7's. The one with the Hell's Gate Skull Inlay is an older model, but they both have the exact same specs. I have the Blackjack ATX C-1, and it's one seriously amazing guitar. I would thoroughly recommend the Blackjack series, they're great.

+Nathan Dempsey I was just saying that there's nothin technical about this song and it would be fairly easy for beginners.
+FindingTheEverlight I get what you're trying to say, but I think that we musicians truly tend to under- estimate our abilities once we reach a certain level. The stamina and precision it takes to play this song is pretty menacing for a beginning player. That's because a beginning player probably has very little knowledge of how to play "tight" or memorize breakdown patterns. They likely are not good at getting their wrists to keep a consistent palm mute while CLEANLY chugging those patterns like that, especially the faster or more complex ones. And to do all of this for an entire song and keep it tight and professional is something I still seem to have trouble finding in musicians who have been playing for years.
This is basically summed up by an experience I had in 8th grade, about 6 years ago. I was in the bathroom with my friend, and we were talking about guitars while washing our hands. We had both been playing for about two years (him longer than me), so we knew the basics. He mentioned to me how funny it was that he and I could play power chords all day with no effort, yet remembered how hard it was when we first started out. When we first started, we could barely even get our fingers to stay in the 1-3-5 position without slipping all over the place. But fast- forward to today, and as experienced musicians, we take this kind of stuff COMPLETELY for granted and just assume that it takes no talent to do. But in reality, this kind of stuff absolutely is not easy for beginners.
you couldn't play it and I find it funny you call this easy. let's be 100% honest here nobody could pick up a guitar for a couple of years and actually play this start to finish it takes a while for your picking hand to gain speed and precise measures

The fact they don't alternate pick those verses just shows their lack of true guitar skill... I learned alternative picking when I was 13 years old lol they need to step it up.
+EVOMOMENT37 It may possibly be their playing preference. I do most of my playing with alternate picks but sometimes I find it easier to do all down strokes. It all depends on the guitar player.
in my personal experience downpicking sounds better when trying to sound heavy. I don't know how to explain it but upstroking just sounds weird in a an attempt to sound heavy.
You can also get a more 'fuller' sounding note when you downpick because you're putting more power into it.
