      +The Utgardiangamer He's (probably) referring to progressive metal such as Persefone or some of Haken's heavier stuff. And no, not most djent bands are very progressive, especially because a lot of them sound so similar. However, the select few "kings" of djent, such as Tesseract or The Contortionist, definitely deserve to be called progressive. But stuff like Periphery, Vildjharta, etc. doesn't even come close to approaching the prog world of Steven Wilson, Dream Theater, Opeth, David Maxim Micic, Pink Floyd, etc. This is just my opinion though. None of this is factual in nature.

    Just a little side question.
    Is it actually common in Japan to wear a Kimono?
    I figured they were simmilar to european traditional clothes, that you only wear them for some sort of traditional stuff, but wearing them in public is considered wierd?

    • @kostasanthoulis1168
      @kostasanthoulis1168 8 років тому +6

      Kimonos are mostly worn by geisha and are more formal,as I'm told by one of my pals in Japan. Yukatas,the more casual clothing back then, is often worn today during festivals and stuff like that.
      Hope I helped

    And those melodies are very reminiscent to Touhou... but that's probably more because of the japanese scales used.

    Hey it a mixture of djent and progressive....aww hell it's just kickass..period!...call it what you want..I'm just happy that the kind of music I like is shared by people of other countries and different types of people... (what else do we have..pop music?....just be happy there's a choice..unlike the way it used to be..you would have to take what was being dished out by record companies..with no alternative music styles even available!...come on people there's plenty of different styles to find what you like..myself I like guitar virtuosity in any style)...you don't like this ..go find what you do like

(probably more progressive metal among other things)...but that's what's so cool about it..I'm an old school shredder..but I have really embraced the djent style. .i think it's awesome. ..this a perfect mix for me..i also feel a somewhat fusion like style in there...a new kind of fusion..yeah. .that's it a fusion of prog metal and djent..what's not to like?...one of my favorite songs

    Ive been telling people for over 10 Years that the videogame soundtrack to - Shinobi III : Return of the Ninja Master would make an Incredible Djent album. Most laughed at the idea. Im glad Im not the only one. This is EXACTLY what I was talking about. Fucking incredible work, Man.

    Is that a Strandberg guitar? I don't recognise the model but quite a number of design features scream Strandburg

    Would be good if the synth was a bit quieter and the guitar had more mids. Great composition though.
