Thinking about buying these to use to dj local graduation parties next summer. Usually outdoors and around 50 people. Do you think two of these are suitable?
yeah, they get pretty loud. The bass is kinds wimpy though but the sound will cut through the crowd no problem. JBL claims a 124 db SPL which is the same as the QSC CP8 which costs a lot more. I don't know if JBL is lying but 124 SPL isnt bad. I had these for 2 years and they haven't crapped out yet. Buy the JBL covers though or else they will get jacked up looking pretty quick.
Yes the QSC is slightly louder, weighs 4 lbs more. The variables includes cost which the cp8 is $500 compared to MAP $369 $399 for the JBL. I bought 4 of these and it would have been over $2000 plus tax for small speakers. They're all just 8 inch 2 ways but I based them on amp size, weight, spl and cost. For non JBL fans it stands for Just Be Loud, lol. I have an outdoor Oktoberfest coming up and will be using all 4 at this stage venue as I did last year. 2 up front and 2 in the rear, the sound is at medium volume and I like using 4 because everyone isn't complaining about how loud it is compared to blasting 2 tops that most djs use. Or not enough volume from using 2 column arrays in the front at an outdoor event. I was at a Dutch festival in Solvang CA last week and a band with traditional speaker format was playing and they. Blasted the crap out of everyone's ears so nobody was sitting in the chairs in front of the stage. That's so 1970
like i said, SPL can be made up by all manufacturers. a sudden glitch to 124 will make the boys at JBL claim it so does EV, RCF and the others. Rockville will dream about a SPL and claim it, hahah.
the latency isn't going to get you too excited, it still sounds like theres a nano second of delay. Thats why I use the UHF wireless system (see my videos on it) so there is no latency I can tell from using this IEM wireless system. However if you dont want to spend the money the BT hooks up pretty easy with any BT device.
This is better than the party box when paired with the subwoofer...run the audio source through a mixer or equalizer then to the speakers (separately...one channel to the top and the other channel to the sub)....the output is crisp and clear this way.... the eq presets on the irx don't do justice.
I do karaoke and my old pioneer mixer just has echo that you can route through. Reverb with voices sounds much better than a little echo. Having a channel that you can plug in a mic that has reverb is sweet. So I would plug in channel one for music playback and use channel two just for mic use. I'm glad you asked that in case anyone else uses these speakers for karaoke as well as playback.
@@burhanuddin127 they've been on over a 14 gigs and works well. It's just a pa speaker so it's not studio quality none of them actually are. Long as it lasts. Like I mentioned in the video it's bare bones and JBL spent the money on the amp and drivers, jjust maybe mic ducking, feedback button and Bluetooth. All things that are cheap to put on a speaker. Plus now that i have 5 of them, thats an additional $500 bucks for a lousy 8" 2 way. no thanks.
@erniemoroccomuraoka3464 thanks, I respect your opinion since you are talking about your practical experience with the speaker, but a company giving 3 year vs company giving 6 year warranty? I might naturally deviate to six year one unless I'm using higher grade jbl like eon 710
@@burhanuddin127 that's cool but remember I do outdoor events where I bring more than 2. I have a birthday tomorrow at a small mansion so I will bring 3 of them. Plus I have the signals going wirelessly so it's far from a conventional setup. I have car shows in September where I will bring 5 of these. ✌️

If you compare this to the partybox 310 does it have more bass?
NO. The partybox has more bass.
Have you compared this to the QSC CP8?

FYI, the MAX SPL on this bad boy is an impressive 124 dB peak ....FACT NOT CLAIMED

Just brought these to dj with
good choice did you also buy the bags?
Louder than QSC CP8, Yamaha DXR8 or Alto TS408?
The Yamaha is louder
How's the bluetooth latency on this one?

Compare to JBL Party Box 100 is it better ?
Party box 100 is battery powered this isn't.

Can I Connect iPhone with bluetooth? Thanks for the video
Yes
You’re complaining that they don’t have Reverb? Why would you want a PA speaker to have reverb?

and not only for voices, Instruments like violin also likes reverb :) @@oldschooldjernie
@@MikhealRodas yeah reverb for a violin solo is awesome
What about cp8?
Cp8 is _499 same spl and peak watts. The $100 more doesn't seem like a viable alternative. Nice but why pay more
@erniemoroccomuraoka3464 100 bucks for added reliability I guess. Jbl looks like a consumer grade speaker, qsc is a bit more pro grade I think.

Jbl 310 party vs Jbl irx 108bt which has better sound quality and which is more loud ??? @OldSchoolDjErnie
The 310 is louder and the 108bt sounds better
@@oldschooldjernie jbl Irx 108bt claims 1000watt output so how can be jbl partybox 310 which 240 watt speaker louder than Jbl IRX 108bt??
@@webuild4923 1000w is PEAK, regular is 200W, which isnt bad but not that loud. The party box has 2 woofers too.
