Absolutely awesome dude!!! I recently bought the exact same valve for my forging press build and i was not liking that hard reverse. Your video saved me alot of aggravation!! Thank you for sharing. You've earned my sub!!
They are .215" or 5.5 mm. I got some 7/32" from a bicycle shop which were .218. But when I put it back together it wouldn't hold without poping back to neutral. I only lost 1 of the old ones so I put 3 of the old ones back in and only one new one and it seems to be working like it should now. I had to take the detentor apart because it was stuck in the retracting position. It was heavenly rusted. I cleaned it up and greased everything. Thanks
I no its a old video but im glad i came across it i didnt want to disable it just try and clean it up seemed to me sticking a bit after cleaning the kick off valve it wouldnt work so looking at your video i see now i gotta pull back then put the bearing in great vid. Thanks a bunch saved me alot of money
Good vid explaining how you modified the gate valves. I hope you saved those bearings and springs in the event something fails and you can re-assemble them and return if need be. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, can you remove a spring in this valve to make it not go back into neutral on release when you move the handle in the forward direction? (There must be springs that move the handle back to neutral in both directions.) So could it be made into like an "auto pilot"?
I recieved a brand new brand hydrolics pump or valve that looks jist like in the video. I have no idea what to use it for or what to do with it. what can I do?? can I make something really cool? a hydrolic press?
So they want an arm and a leg to get the detent. I bought a log splitter the gentleman took the detent off... You dont by chance have those parts you took out in a spot I could ship them to myself, do ya?

Exactly what I needed to make my spool valve control my brush.grapple smoothly. Thank you for the video. Very clear and straightforward.

Helped me figure out why mine is sticking after 300hrs of hard use! Hope can just clean up but probably rebuild time .!
You really go into detail, I am learning quite a lot going through your videos! Great job.
I'm glad you find them useful!
I did that and after a while it would not retract I'm thinking the spring should stay in the assembly when reassembling.
Thank you for posting this!
If the valve is working correctly with or without the detent, won't the handle return to center from forward when you take your hand hand off?

I want to do the exact same thing, did you find an answer?

Where did you get the valve diagram? Can you send me a link? Thanks
Would you be able to give a part number for the control valve you are working on?
Thank u for info!

Great if you're making a forging press.
thanks
They're not bearings, they're steel balls that could be used in a ball bearing.
You still have the bearings. I lost a couple. I'll pay you for them if you can ship them to me in texas
+txstevew can you take an exact measurement to see if they're the right size?
You don’t remember??? What???
how do the balls go back in change o rings and can't get them to stay in
Use grease
There not bearings they are steel balls to get the terminolgy correct
