I agree! Having just rented a 7.4m long x 2.35m wide Sunlight I nicknamed it "the beast". It did feel too chunky especially in Sudtirol's narrow mountain pass roads. I'm opting for this Adria Compact with the face to face lounge that opens up the interior with a more spacious feel. Great van.
Can I ask why you don’t like Adrias? I’ve been doing my research and I’ve been very impressed with them and thought they seemed quite good. What have I missed please?
Alan thank you for this excellent video . I watch your videos every evening . This spring and summer I done a 3 month tour around Europe and it’s great cites in a chausson x550 a super cool slim body 6m motorhome. Drove like a campervan but felt like a motorhome, excellent. However after a few months a felt like I needed more space so I sold the x550 and actually got back exactly what I paid for it. I’m now looking for a 7m to 7.5m vehicle ( not A class , too heavy upfront ) preferably with an island bed . Do you know from your extensive knowledge such a van like this but with a slim body ? A motorhome or I may settle for campervan conversion… there is literally hundreds of brands so many it’s hard to keep up with them … the slim body is definitely a very big advantage, Thankyou for any help Neil
We have a Bailey Adamo 75-4i. Automatic, island bed, sizeable fridge, and a good garage, electric table that can be manoeuvred to give you a vast prep area. 4 berth, if needed. Worth checking out.
@@RV11-Adventures you're right it is a compressor fridge, Alan was mistaken. He was also mistaken about having to remove the washroom basin tap to shower with. There is a separate shower hose on the riser.
Thanks for showing us around this one, Alan. Here's a pro tip if you want to promote your channel and help to grow it. As I understand it, UA-cam's algorithm boosts videos that generate viewer engagement. So in your concluding remarks if you invite viewers to hit "Like" if they enjoyed the video, and if they didn't go ahead and hit "Dislike," your channel gets a boost either way. In other words, if you get 1,000 likes and 200 dislikes your channel gets recommended more than if it only gets 1,000 likes. 🙂
You were wrong about the bathroom it has a shower head behind the movable wall, you do not use the sink head as you said, maybe do your research before putting the video out. We own an Adria.
@@kenallen3254 the van is made in Slovenia, but that style of single bed layout that can be made into a very large double bed is called a "German layout" because it seems to be the preferred bed for German customers.
Really nice motorhome Alan, thank you for sharing.

Like it, no to big nor to small. Wish these were available in the states, beginning to think the American made rigs a crap.

Don’t think you’ve missed anything. Adria are highly regarded by their customers for build quality and after sales support.
The fridge is a compressor fridge, doesn’t run on gas.

Hi Neil, I'm looking for a similar motorhome and I'm drawn towards the Carthago lightweight versions - check them out if you haven't already

I thought the Adria compact used a 12v compressor fridge 🤔
It is, he’s mistaken.

Adria is not German!
Who said Adria was German?
@@VanlifewithAlan I thought you said it was German when you were talking about the bed?!
