Thank you so much! your videos are part of the curriculum that our professor is using for our online class. Your videos are very helpful and easy to understand. I wish I could have typed all of this in Spanish, but this is my first semester.
My teacher linked this video to help with online learning and it really helped a lot with especially since this is an area I am really struggling in! Keep up the great videos!!!
@cuchinigno The main difference is that in Spain (and some islands nearby) vosotros is used for 'you' when you're talking to a group about themselves... in a more formal situation, 'ustedes' is used for that. In Latin America, they don't use both and distinguish between... you just use 'ustedes' for everyone. It should not heavily destroy your Spanish. You'll just be aware that in Spain they use 'vosotros' and you can learn that form separately.
Since I try to learn spanish I watch your videos dayly. They are a great help, although dutch is my native language. I have a question now: The centence: women confuse men changes into LAS mujeres confunden A LOS hombres. Do you by any chance have a video on the use of le la los las in spanish when there is no the in english? And the A, when do I use that? Thank you.
+Senor Jordan thanks for the help! I'm currently taking Spanish 2 accelerated as a freshman. I took Spanish 1 accelerated in 8th grade on a computer program and didn't learn close to anything. I am definitely subscribing so I can keep up with your videos. ¡Gracias!
Senor Jordan there is the one I would like an important discussion on 4:14 troubling "Nosotras" form. When you're keeping the STEM where it is and have to remove the infinitive endings and talk about different genders does that apply to keep "imos" instead of "imas" endings on both genders?
Thanks for your question. Descriptions take into account gender. Verb endings do not. So “mos” is always on endings for “we” regardless of male or female. In the same way it’s always tengo for I have (present indicative). Tenga isn’t used for females when you would use tengo for males. It’s used in a completely different context (present subjunctive). Hope that helps!
I'm currently in Spanish 1, although the way my teacher has taught us is almost really strange..I can't seem to translate from English to Spanish but if I read/see/hear it in Spanish I know what it means/what to say..is there any way I can understand this a bit more? Please help, my grade is starting to suffer because of this and I do not know exactly how I should go about learning it correctly.
Wow guys you realize this? This man doesn't like us he think were jerks the real one is right in one from don't watch this it wont help you at all (just saying) also is this guy really a teacher or does he just want money and reading off a screen his whole script? Lol FAKE confirmed I'm gonna make a video about it lol
Great videos, just one question related to this particular video: It says "Gas prices...go up.." - shouldn't then translation also be in plural: " Los precios de la gasolina ...suben..." ?
If you Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins then Resurrected three days later and is our Lord and Savior you will be saved ! He who is sinless died on the cross for our sins just so we could be here. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords from generation to generation! Read your bible daily and please Repent!! God bless you and your family!💜 (Not trying to force upon anyone who does not agree)
good information, but speaker talks too fast with too many examples, suggest slow down make your point clearly, so that a dozen examples wont be necessary.
I am taking Spanish class now and my teacher played this video in order to help us comprehend better and it helped a whole lot. thank you
You remind me of Dora, not to be mean, you helped me so much now I'm passing Spanish with an A because of you!
It's mainly used in Spain. "Ustedes" is used for "you all" in all cases in Latin America.

I literally said in Spanish:
The price of gas.. which means "gas prices"
I think both would be fine to say (as long as your verb matches) :)
Ok, thank you so much!!

Good job, Jordan, but please, put the Ñ in that senor :)
It would be nice if you included a transcript.
How should I say " I received the book"
Could be wrong but I believe, "I received the book." would be..... "Yo recibí el libro."
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Darnell this iz da only or third tyme I agree with you

hi senora ochoa
at 7:20 can we just say ¿ustedes asisten a una iglesia?
That would be fine as well. Because of the lake of English equivalent, you might translate ustedes to "all y'all" or "you all".
Spanish test
You do not tell vosotros
what happened to your hair
@anne241163
¡Muy amable!
Mrs.olexsa anyone
you clicked on this video why?

Wtf is women confuse men
confundir is an IR verb
So it's a sentence to practice an -IR verb in the 3rd person plural (ellas) form.
Feel free to comment other sentences in Spanish that use confundir with year 1 vocabulary so students can practice. 🙂
why do this teacher do this to us
right
this is boring

THEN DONT WATCH THE VIDS! Don't watch just b/c your jellous on his bylanguil (ability to speak more than 1 languages)
