man such a joy watching this dude play. He has a phenomenal touch! And I must say these videos are the best sounding acoustic videos I've heard. Stellar recordings.
Wow, just wow. I've listened to several videos of this guitar in different tone woods and most with 14 frets and this one is head and shoulders better than all the others.
Every time I listen to this, I can't believe the sound that is coming from a smaller bodied guitar, it is truly mesmerizing! If I could have only one guitar (and I could afford it), this would be it! I could listen to that all day long and never tire of it. Stunning guitar, Collings, and absolutely masterful playing of it, Carl! Thank you both for the inspirational tones from it! Music to soothe the savage beast in us all.
Too bad I had not seen this video when originally published. I would have bought he guitar. My ideal size, scale length, nut width, and bridge string spacing. Minimal embellishment. Outstanding.
I am not sure, I have also looked and it appears he creates a new composition for every guitar and I couldnt find any tabs or sheet music. But I believe this tune is in DADGAD! If you find anything please let me know
It sounds like an interpretation "It'll all work out" by Tom Petty. Basic chords below and it looks like drop D. You should be able to pick out the melody on the D major scale. Most of it is on frets 2 and 4 on the D and G strings. G D A D G D A G G D A Bm G D A D
This little Collings does sound amazing, but let's be clear. Carl Miner could play a broom handle strung with Christmas tinsel and make it sound like a choir of angels. Just sayin'.

This mans talent and all these guitars are truly a gift from God almighty
this is still one of my favorite guitars ever to come through our shop.
Hi Kim, I assume you work at or own the shop. I love this guitar. Could you tell me what effects if any were used on the recording? Thank you!

Sexy and great sounding little guitar.
My dream guitar. What did this sound like in person???
Maple is misunderstood. It’s such a beautiful tone wood, that’s why the orchestral instruments choose this tone wood.
Don't need tabs...its all there.
good fer you...
Is it in dadgad?
@@zollyclaman drop D
@@roscoe2311 thanks!
I agree. Camera man does a nice job showing us what we need:)
sounds like Always Gold by Radical face but we all know all melodies have already been written.
Song?
