Good decision by Vyakhireva to play in Norway replacing Nora Mork, but its pitty that many talented russian players still stuck in their country i.e. Elena Mikailychenko, Yaroslava Frolova and Ekaterina Zelenkova.
I have a question... Why does Vipers always have to play 1 game in Hungary every knockout game vs Gyøri (last 3-4 years) in Champions league? Vipers win every time but it's still not fair. Should either be home and away or on neutral venue!
Because location is pre-selected regardless of the participants. It is the same as why mens final four takes place in cologne until 2026. It would be a shame to exclude Budapest from hosting just because hungary have good teams). As for why with Győr, it is becuase it is one of the best teams in europe, as they usually makes in the best four teams (by the way vipers was in the best four in the past four years, and they only beat Győr in the past 2 years.) It will be also in Budapest next year.
May not be the most fair, but not exactly unfair either. Budapest hosted this event for more than 10 years without any problem, and they just set a world record for the most spectators in a womans handball match. If you want to change the location there are very few possible locations with the necessary infrastructure, and only Germany has similar experience in hosting.
If they meet in the playoffs, or the quarterfinals, they play home and away (Győr's home arena is in a different city), but it is not possible as long as they both directly make to the quarterfinals.

I never implied it wasn't pre selected but it has been in Hungary for many years in a row and like i said... Why not have home and away to avoid this situation?

No, you're wrong, it's clearly unfair for the hungaryan club teams to have a home advantage in the semi finals and final year after year. It should be Home and away. The final can also be home and away or let a country (Not the same every year) host 1 final.
The amount of spectators should not dictate if it should be fair or not.
You're acting as it HAS to be played in the fashion it does today. 4 games in 2 days. It doesn't.

Imagine if Real Madrid got to play home game in the semi final in champions league and the pre determined venue was in spain every year xD
@@MrHillsidestrangler There are more problems with home and away, like vipers home stadium is less than 2000 capacity. Imagine that the football champions league finals was played in a stadium with less than 7000 capacity may not be the most ideal.
The advantages of the home stadium are the following:
-One team knows far better the stadium than the other (None of the teams played there any other time this year)
-One team has to travel quite a lot of distance (They arrived few days earlier, should not be a problem this level, but may be a negligable advantage
-One of the teams can sell more tickets than the others (Not exactly the case, but there are 2 hungarian teams whose fans are supporting each other, so this is a special case this year)
-The referee might help the home team with minor decisions (Was not the case in yesterdays match).
As you can see there are not much home advantages. If Real Madrid would play the semi finals in similar circumstaces, I think it would not be a problem. If they want to use a neutral venue, they either chose a place with the necessary infrastructure, whose team has already no chance to make it to the top 12, which may be quite challanging, or keep open multiple options, and than have only a little more than a month to prepare. It would at least cost much more (which is not negligible a not so popular sport), and might be a drop in quality given the short time.
If they wants to play with every match different locations, than :
-The teams will be more tired
-The fans would have a lot more difficulty
-If the neutral country is much closer to one of the teams it might be a lot more like home advantages (Unlike football there are not too much womans handball fans who willing to spend a lot of money and time only to travel a match where his team may not even be playing. Given there are only 2 participants this time, it would be a more noticable advantage for a closer (or bigger) country.
I would also add that because it is only a weekend it is easier to keep up the attention and generate more revenue

If the world cup is played in France.. That give France a big advantage regardless of if they played on that stadion that year.
