Slippery dip waterfall & photogenic locations, Thailand

What are the best things to do in Pai Thailand? Well there is actually a lot and it’s all really easy to get to from town. All you need is a scooter and some good weather!
Today we explored the ‘slippery dip waterfall’ aka Mor Paeng Waterfall. The waterfall runs over a VERY slippery rock, which is great for sliding down….in theory. Pretty much when you go there its a group of local kids sliding down without any sign of fear or hesitation and a bunch of tourists watching wide-eyed from the side lines wondering whether or not their travel insurance will cover them if anything goes pear shaped!
Next up was the Pam Bok Waterfall. This place is a lot calmer and nice to just wade through the pool at the bottom on the waterfall. Some serious Instagramming going on here!
Lastly we visited the Kho Ku So Bamboo Bridge. This bridge is made entirely out of bamboo and runs for about 500 metres through rice fields. Being October and the end of the rainy season meant that the fields were high and lusciously green!

We said goodbye to our jobs, sold all our belongings, and left Australia on a one-way ticket to Shanghai with just each other and our backpacks! We plan to travel the world for a year, see as much as possible, meet as many people as we can, and most importantly MAKE OUR MONEY LAST!

Seems like the mountains of Thailand are the place to be. I get the impression the weather is a lot less hot and sticky than in the lowlands.

Its a bit less hot but its VERY sticky due to the humidity. We felt that we could either go North or South and decided to visit the islands when its less rainy. The rainforests really are beautiful this time of year - so green!
