  • Today was a day of amazing views and frightening experiences on the Mae Hong Son Motorbike Tour here in Thailand. Not only did I get to see some gorgoeus views and ride some beautiful roads, but I (unfortunately) also had a frightening near death experience that left me a bit shaken up. Join me as I leave the city of Mae Hong Son and head to the city of Pai on my Honda ADV 160 motorbike. Lots of great roads, scenic stops, delicious food and even a gorgeous cave excursion await on Day 6 of the Mae Hong Son motorbike tour. I am having such a fun time on this trip! The weather couldn't be better!

    0:15 Fri Nov 24th 2023. Good Morning Serg From Gilbert Arizona USA. By the way, Happy Belated Thanksgiving. We had a nice day and ate dinner at our favorite restaurant. They serve a full service Turkey dinner. From start to finish. It was great. Especially for just us, as a family of 4. No mess no matter.
    I'm sorry to hear that you have gotten sick, but. However, where in a really nice place to mend yourself. I really like the road markers very smart 🤓 traffic markings. I'm really glad that you're doing ok after your run-in with the idiot in the truck. I'm really glad you're safe. And stopping for a drink and a little rest especially needed to get your bearings back to normal. Then the cave tour was absolutely amazing. So beautiful. Great tour of the cave. Nice room.
    Serge Healthy Blessings and Happy Adventures always. See you in your next video. 22:29

    Watch out for the delivery trucks and pickups. Some tried to pass the car in front of them but couldn't and end up hit cars from the other sides. It happend so many times. Some drivers...just dont care the surrounding and some don't even know what the lines on the road mean. Their mentality is we are bigger, YOU are the one who have to watch out for us if anything happens. Many cyclist lost their lives the same way that car almost hit you or hit from behind for no reason. You wear everything to protect yourself and stay away from the middle road and stay far left as much as possible but you can't control these bad drivers and there are many of them. We are in the world top ranked accidental on the road for a reason.

    Do you still like adv160? Have you ever feel regret of not buying a bigger one like 300 cc or more? I am choosing between adv160 and forza350. I will ride to work round trip around 54 km to work and have a plan for a long ride to the north and south sometimes. Some people said go to 300 for long ride, some said 160 is better for handling in the city. What do you think? Or you may create a new video reviewing your scooter😊 that would be great.

    • @LifewithSerg
      @LifewithSerg  7 місяців тому +2

      I’ve had this bike for about two months. So far I’ve put 3300 km on it. 2600 of that was in the last two weeks on this trip. I’ve actually no regrets about buying it. Because I live in Bangkok, I didn’t want to buy a large bike. I am considering buying a regular motorcycle so I don’t know if I will end up keeping the ADV or not. But I’m going to do at least one or two more long trips on it before I make that decision. If you’re interested in the ADV 160, look at the ADV 350 instead of the Forza. They are very different bikes.

    You don't trust your helmet to be left on the handlebars of a motorcycle. Your helmet can get lost. You should store it in the top box or in a U-Box under the seat, or use a metal lanyard to loop your helmet through and then slip the end of the strap under the seat.

    1. It may sound weird but the pronunciation of Pai is used the same accent as spy but remove S sound.
    2. When you see "Ban Rukthai" the pronunciation will be "Barn Rukthai"
    3. The red marking you see before entering a corner is a special paint that create some kind of texturing to increase friction in order to reduce the tendency of too long breaking distance (advertise by paint maker).

    Potholes on the road can sometimes be up to a foot deep if you're riding a low-slung motorcycle. The chance of an accident is high. To solve these problems, there are some motorcycles that have a highly flexible shock system which helps to some extent. ua-cam.com/video/6OjBwjK1xbk/v-deo.htmlsi=zCcvwE_TFV_YlC7L
