- Hi! CxffeeMxngo here! In this video I did some mods on my main keyboard, and it took hours to complete the build, and even more hours to edit this video.

Okay so I have a question I have this same keyboard and I don't want to change or lube the keys just want to add foam and tape so can I unscrew the base while the switches are still attached ? Or removing the switches is must? Cause I'm really having a hard time while pulling out the switches and I've already damaged a few. Thanks!
Yes you can
Yes, you can just keep the switches on.
This is a super late reply, but in the packaging they give you switch removers! The red one is to remove keys, and the metal one for the red switches.
I don't have any equipment to hold the switches while lubing , can i use barehands like you while Lubing them ?

i have same redragon fizz too and yes, pulling out switches are hell of a thing !
The site there was monkeytype! And yeah, pulling out the switches on the Fizz was super hard.
I recommend buying a switch puller that's better! a good switch puller is really cheap.

I used the default keycaps that came with the keyboard
@@mariosteer Oh in the start of the video I used some black keycaps from my other keyboard, but I decided to switch them with the original keycaps again lol (white)
Which redragon fizz do you think looks nicer, more gray color or more white color?
The Redragon Fizz with more white + a bit grey.
How many layers of foam did you add and what type of foam is this?
I just did 1 layer of foam on the bottom of the keyboard case. It was just some keyboard foam I bought online.

hi does it have any spring noises cuz i modded mien except the lubing part identically the same with urs I was wondering if lubing solved the spring ping issue?
I don't remember it having any spring noises haha. It just sounded a bit scratchy and sandy originally.
The lubricant did solve it though!

yes!
one thing id recommend is the holee mod and bandaid mod. and did u clip the stabs? since it should help with the sound of stabs.

I'm a bit confused when using the dielectric grease , I'm afraid my keyboard will be damaged
Oh don't worry about that, mine seems to still be working up till now. But here's a video with a more detailed explanation on how to lube the spacebar.

i was so hyped about modding my keyboard (same one in this vid) but i gave up after taking out 2 switches in like 35 minutes and also breaking a switch 😔
Noo don't quit! It was super hard the first time to mod this keyboard for me too! But the switches became easier to work with - and I still use them as my main switches until today! :D
@@CxffeeMxngo im trying to remove them again by getting the corners out using a flat screwdriver and have so far removed 12 switches and very slightly bent the pin on one idk if itll still work tho. using the screwdriver is ruining the plastic a bit but it is kinda helping. im worried af tho cus i have like 3 spare switches and 49 more switches to remove 😭
@@sol_stice0 Just be careful! I bent lots of pins too when modding keyboards but was able to bend them back the right way haha.
@@CxffeeMxngo i actually only bent one switch which was at the start and didnt ruin any switches while taking them out (besides the plastic ofc), but now i have another problem and i cant put the switches back in cus the pins just bend for no reason. idk if its cus of he pe foam between pcb and switches but its giving me a lot of trouble
@@CxffeeMxngo I DID THE MOD YAYYYYYYY! All the keys besides some of the ones with stabilisers (no dialectic grase anywhere sithin 100 miles of me apparently :c) sound soooooo much nicer! Thanks for the motivation dude! Although my left shift key is a bit weird cus the key doesn't really go down properly and sometimes get stuck, would really appreciate if u could give any advice on how i could fix it.

Does the k530 have to be bluetooth or can u use the wire to just use it as a normal wired keyboard?
I'm not sure actually for the k530. But I'm able to use my rk61 just like a normal wired keyboard using a cable.

Oh, it maybe could help. But I think it's more on the switches if it's like that.

But you could give it a try, it probably has to do with the springs inside the switches.

What's the new keycap puller?
It was just a bigger puller with both a keycap and a switch puller in one, I'm not exactly sure about what the brand was.

Can you change the stock switch to other brand switches? Please answer me
I'm not sure but I think you can't. I think I've heard that the pins of the switches that this keyboard uses are different from other switches.
2 months late, but you can. Although not all switches are compatible (like Gaterons that are 5-pin switches) unless you're up to clipping the stems. Only 3-pin switches (like Akko and other Outemus) are compatible for this particular keyboard.
will it still sound good if i only do the foam and the tape? im just trying to do a simple but easy job as i do not want to go into deep effort for this one
It would still sound okay, but the switches would also still be kinda scratchy. But if your keyboard already has nice sounding switches stock then okay haha!

I'm not sure, I think the pins of the switches that this keyboard uses are different from other switches. I'm not sure though.

Yes you can, but you have to cut a little to make them fit in, just compare them with the stock ones to make sure if you doing it right
