That was the coolest heat one could ever think about. Genius.
This is one bad ass collection of boards! When I started surfing in the early 70's, Gerry Lopez and Rory Russell were kill'n it on Lightning Bolt surfboards as well as many other pro and non pros. Really stoked to see this event!

Super amazing to see the world's best Surfers surf old school boards and throw backs and classics and different shapes they aren't used to surfing or we don't get to see them surf often... Caroline did really well on the single fin. She adapted her style to suit the board. Gilmore looked great on the MR board.
Bonus tour points for competing in alternative board heat wins. proper heats tho!!! Fun to watch

Ahhhh yeah what wave so good i want rn ahhh amazing waves gotta keep myself over I always watch amazed riding the heavy waves with heavy music like Delta Parole or with relaxing music videos in background.

That Lopez board is for 8 to 12 ft and it will perform it's a little big for this type of wave but you get it into some bigger stuff that thing flies.
Woulda liked to have seen a mccoy lazor zap, Pottz saint, maybe an Aipa stinger too
MR rode an Aipa before he was inspired by Reno Abellira to jump on a twin fin.

Yea a double grab reverse stab with air off the lips grinding so fluid and styling on that Mark Schmidt twin fin with wooden fin and channels. You gotta ride it to know how bad these stars are shreading it like locals
