👍🏄Those descriptions of the board designs and the continuous improvements of the same were very good, and being a Windsurfing fanatic for over 45 years I could see how much the new designs are continuously developing which are making various aspects of the sport easier to perform and more advanced also.

Werner Gniegler, what a hero! My 2016 JP AllRide II 106 liter is the most versatile board I’ve ever tried. Always controlled high speed in choppy conditions and it gybes so nicely. Paired with Maui Ultra Fins X-Weed: 👌🏼

I have the previous version of the Ultimate Wave, which I have tried as a thruster, but much prefer as a quad, as per it's design concept. I find Werner's description very accurate. The board is VERY fast in nutty conditions; I have the confidence to drop down a big wave in a lot of wind - it really wants to turn and can deal with chop. Feels very light. Not so good in messy onshore without strong wind, but that is not why I have it. Thanks, Ben, for this interview. P.S., I am 62 yrs old, 85kg, have sailed since 1980; My JP is 94L (2020).

Thanks for this Ben, really nice to get insight directly from key industry people. Werner's shapes have traditionally been very user friendly (although I haven't sailed any of his recent designs).

Hi Ben, great video again. I like your Statement about using just one board. Maybe interesting for Werner as well. For sure I'm a special customer but I just use a JP FSW 94 LXT (2021). I can use it with my 7,8 (!) and 6,4 NoCamFreeracesails as well as with my wavesails in high wind conditions. I can use it also with the foil. A real one board for everything (with some fin tuning).
    Hang loose

I need to extend my comment 😅 I'm really interested in the difference between FSW and Magic Move. Especially after the explanation about the FSW I asked myself what is the difference then for the magic move. But I cleared understand and can confirm the issue with planing through jibes. At the beginning I was really disappointed about the planing in jibes with my FSW 94. I think I'm pretty good in jibing and have been fully planing with more challenging boards. For me the FSW 94 is a clear 3 straps board but due to the planing in jibes I changed to 4 straps and I'm really happy with it, in low and high winds.

Great overview of the JP wave board range. I recall my FSW chipped so easily it looked like it someone had taken a shotgun to it! They clearly didn’t test on Peebles beaches lol…

Would be interesting to hear what he thinks about evolving each board each year... does it make sense? Are there models he likes more or for different reasons then the previous ones

The shapes are nice. But in my opinion the quality of JP is poor. I know that 85% of production boards are Cobra made, but some brands have much more quality issues I think. What are your experiences?

I'm really happy with the construction. Very durable. I use 2024 freestyle pro boards, ultimate wave and have one freestyle pro 95 in the new S-Tec construction which feels very responsive and light.

I agree, I’d trade in an extra half a kilo for having my full wood sandwhich AllRide less fragile. (I treat it as an unboiled egg but still had to get it fixed more than once.)
