Glorious pianist, so very in touch with the pathos of this great lament and his tone never grows harsh in the most bombastic of places. Bravo, sir.
Michael Gast very well said.
Incredible playing. Voicing and tone at the top is so rich and inspired.
Awesome interpretation. Right up there with Howard Shelly' s flawless performance off his complete Rachmaninoff etudes album. That version is the best I've ever heard of this piece.
sp masterly- so masterful....!
👏🏻
I just can't get used to the bodily swaying !!!
It totally spoils my enjoyment of the music !!!
Theatral and over-controlled. Allow yourself some passion and wrong notes, you are no epigone of the boring Gould.
Wtf :D ? Are you even a pianist ?

Yes I am.
But this is not the question.
The question is about "what am I doing when I play the piano ?"
Theatre, show off, blah-blah-blah, decoration, lies, notes, and empty notes ... ?
Or doing something TRUE ? (you know the meaning of the word "TRUE" ?)
Mr. Giltburg is very, very far from truth.
But he can change the whole thing, if he wants.
