Which door checkstrap assembly did you go with? I understand the 2000 GTV was a changed design. Also, did you loose your original regulator's wire pulley to your old doors, and replaced it? Im keen on these details, as Im doing this door swap also ) cheers
Hi I went with the earlier plastic/rubber type. It did change design to the metal strap. With regards to the wire I’m swapping all the original mechanisms to the carbon doors. The plastic sheaths are built in. Have you purchased your carbon doors?
Hi Keith, thanks for the message, I’m going to be uploading more content soon. Thank you for your patience, I know it’s been a while! Please ask if you have any specific questions. One is fitted and I’m in the process of building up the second. Are they worth the money! Very good question, maybe I will do a video on just trying to answer that question. If you have time 20-30hrs per door and do it the way I have by wanting to fit all the original door furniture and mechanisms then it will take that amount of time. If it’s a race car your looking for and then there is no need to drill out all the holes and put rivet nuts in and make sure everything fits together before stripping it all off again. Aligning the doors is also a time consuming part. The doors are currently not painted either so this again will take time and money! It will be coming soon I promise!
Good Videos! I wish to do the same! How do you contact OKP? Can't find email on their website, FB has no way to contact other than broken email address lol
Hi, I'm Matias. I'm writing to you from Argentina because I'm restoring the same car. I would like to know where I can get those carbon fiber doors. If you have any contact or email I would appreciate it. Cheers
@@alfatechniks887 Those of us with old Alfas spend far more on them than they'll ever be worth. I've spent more hours working on my Alfa than I've spent driving it.
Excellent. That CF door is really shaping up to look great. The clear-coat gives it a finished look. Well Done!
Thanks very much. I’ve put a good 20hrs at least into each door to get it to this stage.
how do the carbon doors hold up, strength wise, compared to steel doors.
How about safety? in a collision , are they strong enough ?

Have you fitted these now? Are they worth the money? Any follow up video on these?

Hi a number of people have asked me and they were from OKP in Germany but I don’t think they sell or make them anymore
£How much do they cost?
Unfortunately they are no longer available from the supplier I bought them from

Agreed but they've got the lot and know their stuff.
I bought mine from OKP in Germany but they no longer sell them.
