I consider Fiesta Texas one of my home parks (RIP Astroworld). It is incredibly themed and has amazing coasters. I've never been on a wind shut down day, so I must have been luck. Iron Rattler is great, but I'll always miss the OG Wooden monster. Great park, great vid!
i’ve never been to texas but i feel like it’s the perfect place for a park. the park also manages to make me feel like everyone in the park agrees. it looks awesome and i really like their coaster collection. it includes a lot of my favorite models while leaving out the ones I already have at my home park of BGW.
It was my first park in 2016 and I loved it. I really wanted to go back to San Antonio period. Plus as a mall-rat, seeing La Cantera Mall while on the lift hills of Iron Rattler & Superman Krypton really gave me good vibes.
Great vid! I went to Fiesta Texas for the first time w/ my bro last December and boy did we have TONS of fun! We marathoned Iron & Golden Lasso, thank god for our flash passes bc those lines were painfully long lol. It was amazing seeing my bro terrified/clinging on for dear life during the beginning of our trip and towards the end, I kid you not he was already laughing/throwing his hands up in the air w/ me. Ugh so proud I've converted him into a coaster junkie 😌👌
I have been to Fiesta Texas probably 100 times over the years and I can only remember a couple of times when a lot of the coasters were closed due to the wind. Either it's not as big of an issue as some think it is or I've just been extremely lucky. It could be that I just have a terrible memory.
This was a great overview, brings back memories when this was my home park nearly a decade ago. Awesome to see what's new and what hasn't changed. I used to love that cliff drop on Superman.
I’m also in a Facebook group with the Fiesta Texas park president. He is always posting pictures of the improvements being done -landscaping work, paint jobs, ride and queue sanitization, construction updates on DDD, making/painting of the decorations for HallowFest and Holiday In The Park, etc. He really has his finger on the pulse of this park and the pride he and the staff take in their work shows.
Here’s an idea: do a list of which parks to go to in order to ride the most variety of coasters with the least number of parks visited. I feel like this sounds more complicated than what I’m thinking about... like to keep from running into the same ride models over and over... sort of a “beginner’s list” for people who want to get into coasters and get their coaster count and variety up quickly.
I had a great experience in June 2019 and planning to go back there! Iron Rattler is my favorite coaster and fiesta Texas as a whole is my favorite park
going to this place on thursday, or in one day. super excited to go here, i go every summer and everytime i'm extatic. fantastic park, my all time favorite! :D
Went for my first visit at the end of August of this year! Loved the coaster collection but was a little disappointed with the big crowd levels (even with reservations required) and it was incredibly hot and humid the day I went. Would definitely come back though!
It really makes me happy to see what a stand out park FT is with the theming and fireworks and everything while still (probably) staying withing budget. It makes me equally as furious that SF isn't having them team 'masterclasses' to all the other management teams at all the other parks on the importance of all of the little things which keeps people coming back. I'll never understand why they're so underutilized.
7:50 I could've gone to fiesta texas, I was in San Antonio but unfortunately I didn't know about this park and I wasn't in Texas to go to amusement parks, I was there to site see and vist family so going to an expensive amusement park that wasn't a board walk or something wasn't on my parent's mind. We did go to the water park in Houston though
I went to Fiesta TX with a friend in August, marathoned Iron Rattler til I couldn't think straight. Unless there was someone waiting in line for the back row, we were able to stay put, and if someone was waiting, we were able to move to the next open seat.
Great video about this awesome park! I had the opportunity to visit this park, SeaWorld San Antonio and Six Flags Over Texas in October 2020 and I definitely thought this was by far the best park in Texas. I had 1 1/2 days there and could have easily had another day. One other thing to note is that the operations here are very iffy (ElToroRyan’s video shows that very well) but they also can be very efficient. Wonder Woman usually is that way from what I could tell. I 100% agree with you on them getting a GCI or a non-inverting Gravity Group, not just because they need a woodie but they REALLY need a major thrill coaster that doesn’t go upside down. That’s definitely something I noticed on my visit and was one thing that Over Texas did better. Still, this park is very well rounded and easily a top tier park in the Six Flags chain!
I had pretty much stopped being a coaster fan because my home park was Elitch Gardens. I came to San Antonio for college and Fiesta Texas basically reinvigorated my love. Such an awesome park!
I had a great experience this week at my first visit. Everything was open besides Poltergeist and that's being repainted and the train. It was hot out so the rides were hauling. The food places were also open and refills were very easy to get. I also noticed the park is charming. The German section is very nice and every section of the park is distinct and well kept.
I went during FBLA Nationals in 2018 so the park was packed with kids from around the country but it was still an awesome experience! I can't wait to get back
I miss the old Jokers Revenge where Pandemonium currently resides and the old original wooden Rattler before the drop was cut back. Being on the back seat was an experience for sure. I've always lived in SA and have been going out there since the first year Fiesta Texas existed. Even with all the changes over the years and utilizing the season pass at other Six Flags parks whenever we could I've always felt Fiesta Texas is one of the best.
It's pretty much my home park since Houston is missing a park. It is definitely one of my favorite Six Flags Parks. The park also has some amazing live shows with some really good talent.
When my foot was in a cast I binged watched every video you made lmao, I’m becoming a better coaster enthusiast since I started last year when I was 12.
Road Runner Express was the last mine train that Arrow Dynamics ever built (and it was done by Alan Schilke; Ron Toomer had retired by that point). And glad to know you don't need a locker like other SF parks (looking at Kingda Ka & El Toro; but I understand why).
We have season passes but have only used the water park since last March. This summer we made a few trips just to hang at the water park. The wave pool is in the shape of Texas! Prior to Covid we went a few times and loved it. The quarry setting really is unique, and it's pretty close to major roads and simple to get in and out of. Full disclosure - I have gained a few pounds in the last few years and now riding Poltergeist is uncomfortable. Those seats are tight!
I went there in 2016 and the only notable rides open were roadrunner and batman. I was so dissapointed because I had planned on riding irat as my first RMC ever. (Luckily KD is my home park and I got TT a few years later) poltergeist want open, superman wasn't open, not even pandemonium. And at that time all the boardwalk rides were closed for maintenance or something. Luckily goliath opened later in the day, but I waited 3 hours for batman becuas it kept breaking down. It seemed like a cool park, but it was a terrible visit for me. The best thing I did there was ride the upcharge zipline in high winds (which was "safe" for some reason) and we were bouncing around in the wind the whole time. Hope to get back here some day
I went Sunday and its a good like 4 or 5 hour park, not a ton of rides but wonder woman on the back row tries to rip you out of your seat and Iron rattler was pretty good too, only downside was all the lines were packed and I only got one ride on all th coasters
This video came at the perfect time since I’m planning a trip back there this weekend! It’s the closest thing I have to a home park (though it’s still a 4 hour drive :P) and I’m so excited to go back.
This is the best Six Flags park, period. They have a rather intriguing lineup of both coasters and flat rides. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this park. This feels like an oddball in the Six Flags chain, but in a good way.
New comment, few weeks ago I had a bad experience because the good rides flooded and the other shut down, which left us with 1 flat ride, and Road Runner. But a few days ago I had a great experience.Rode Irat,Superman,Goliath, and Poltergeist.Wonder woman broke in line, boomerang was too long, never got to pandamoneim or Batman, and road runner was waaaay too long all day. This may sound bad,but we got on almost all of the legendary rides. So I’m satisfied.Either way I’m going back during Xmas and it’s November 29th
2020 Goliath is INSANE and better than WW :) Great video, and I actually would agree with you 😂 Shocker as I’m normally the SFFT hater but it’s been so good this year
I haven't been to fiesta texas but what intrigues me most is it seems like a very well kept park almost like cedar fair and not a run down concrete jungle like a lot of other six flags parks
I have made 2 trips to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The first was in February 2019 over Presidents Day weekend. I spent all day Saturday, first thing Sunday morning, left for ZDT's and back for late afternoon, and then the first half of Monday at the park. I got 18 rides on Iron Rattler and 16 on Wonder Women. My second trip was this past weekend. I spent Friday at Kemah and Galveston (Struck out on Iron Shark), and I went to Sea World San Antonio for a couple of hours on Saturday. I then went into Fiesta Texas on Saturday night and for about 4-5 hours on Sunday. This is a great park. Magic Mountain has the overall better coaster line-up but this park does a lot of things better. The parking is great. The theming is very good. I believed the company that owns Dollywood & Silver Dollar City owned this park so it makes sense. The setting is great. The 2 RMC's are great. Ops has been very good for me. They knew I wanted the back seat on Wonder Women and I got it each time this past trip. They handled the covid procedures well overall, although the hand sanitizer they use is not perfect. They really enforced the 6 feet distance. One con I had was getting skip the line passes. You should have an upgrade by keeping your membership active, but it took a little bit but I finally got that extra pass. This wasn't an issue at Six Flags St. Louis when I visited earlier this year. Overall this is a great park and I have it in my Top 10 parks I have been to.
Hey airtime thrills, as this is my home park I think the only gripe I have about the park is how messy the flod areas can get and how the queue lines dont have fans or any cooling in them.
This is my home park. Even on a windy day, it's a fantastic stroll and outdoor experience. Since I'm a member and live close by, it doesn't feel like a total loss since I can just come back the following week. If I ever move, it'll have to be within 45 minutes of another top 10 park. I can't live without coasters.
Nice video I’d love to go looks like one of the best in the chain. I have a question/ video idea I’ve been wondering about tho. I’m newer to being an enthusiast so I haven’t been to a ton of parks but how much does it cost to travel the country going to them. If u don’t wanna answer I get it but I’m curious to know, thanks
You should revisit Six Flags America too😉. I don't think your evaluation was fair because your first visit was under their old management which was terrible, and since the new management has come in, the park has improved dramatically. The second visit, it was opening weekend, so I think it's fair to have some operational issues
I went back to Six Flags America in 2018 on my birthday after a very long time I was like 4 or 5 my first time their not exactly sure and I enjoyed it I actually think it’s kind of a pretty park
This is the only park I’ve been to in my 28 years and only 3 times the last in 2012 it’s an hour from me but I don’t get the opportunity to go often but loved it every time
Ironic as this was also where I've had the worst park experience I've had as well. We went there in March of 2013 so the lines were incredibly long, the waterpark was closed and Iron Rattler wasn't open yet, and we chose to ride Pandemonium over Scooby-Doo: Ghostblasters which was a huge mistake as the 45 minute wait time for Pandemonium ended up being 90 minutes so we didn't have time for Scooby-Doo which now happens to be gone. Despite all this, I still want to get back to this park soon because I believe we just went there at the wrong time and this could easily be one of my favorites if we were to go there at the right time.
this park is awesome. I had a similar windy experience in 2019, but with a flash pass I was able to get 7 rides on iRat, but I don’t have all the credits. Also, I’m high key addicted to your videos rn, can we please get another release schedule?
Good back in 2007, terrible in March 2019 for wind. No denying the next level atmosphere though for a Six Flags, even good level for any normal park(not Disney/Universal). The coaster collection is very good, as I got on everything repeatedly back in 07 and I was at least able to get on Iron Rattler multiple times(didn't shut down) and Wonder Woman once this past year. This park had some of the worst line jumping I've ever seen, but I also saw security kick out a few parties throughout the day, so props to them on that response.
I have been to Fiesta Texas 4 times. The first time, I was rather small and I only rode Roadrunner Express. My final ride count was I think 18 on Roadrunner Express. The second time, was awful. (If you are going on a school trip, make sure the people that you go with can tolerate a line. These people would not ride anything if it had even a 5 minute wait.) Final ride count: 1 on roadrunner Express. The third time Superman, Wonder Woman, and Poltergeist were closed for weather, but getting to riding Iron Rattler automatically made that trip much better than the previous one, and I was very happy with 3 rides on Batman, 1 ride on Roadrunner Experss, 1 ride on Goliath, 1 ride on Pandamonium, and 4 rides on Iron Rattler. The 4th trip, however, was the best one. It was a nice overcast day, making it rather cool unlike the previous 3 trips which were all miserably hot. The lines weren't terrible. Iron Rattler consistently had a 1 hour line. (1 train 2 minute operations) Everything else had 5-25 minute waits except for superman, which has a walk on all day. I rode everything that I wanted to. I got 1 ride on Goliath, 1 ride on Roadrunner Experss, 1 ride on Iron Rattler, 1 ride on Pandamonium, 2 on Batman, 3 on Poltergeist, and 3 on Wonder Woman.
I went to Fiesta Texas for the earliest days of Spring Break back in March. Since it was on a weekday, it was still relatively… dead. I was very much impressed with how this park looks and feels, especially for a Six Flags park. It’s the quarry that makes the difference, as it’s a strength to this park all it’s own. And the only wait I actually did was Iron Rattler. Nobody should keep sleeping on Fiesta Texas.
My soon to be home park! Haven't been here yet but I love that everyone has great things to say about it considering I'm losing Magic Mountain as my home park :(
You CAN get lost there, we did last year. But due to ride construction going on, some paths were closed, as was their floorless coaster. I seem to have bad luck with this park, on my first visit in 1995, the legendary Rattler was closed. So I never got to ride it bevore it was RMC'd. (Insert expletive here) But still I like the park and it was my first US theme park ever. (In fact my first major theme park at all, as I hadn't been to any in my home country before) However, the theming is to a good point due to the fact that this park hasn't always been a Six Flags Park. A lot of it was introduced by the original owners back in the day, but we have to give credit to SixFlags for keeping up with it with the extensions and keeping it in good shape over the years.
for me this is an elite park with some of the best coasters ive ridden with wonder woman and iron rattler. Also the setting cant be described with pictures and words, being there it was so much cooler than what it looked like in pictures.
Here’s an idea: do a list of which parks to go to in order to ride the most variety of coasters with the least number of parks visited. I feel like this sounds more complicated than what I’m thinking about... like to keep from running into the same ride models over and over...
Was going to try going in Nov/Dev to avoid the heat and crowds but after reading up on it and watching videos I’m really nervous about rides being closed.
The Joker: Carnival of Chaos is intense. The height and the speed are spectacular, but you'd better have an iron stomach for it and for Batman: The Ride. I saw plenty of people who were green in the gills after those two. I couldn't ride Iron Rattler when I went. It broke down when I was in line. Wonder Woman is excellent, and Superman is particularly good.
Their dining pass is the best deal ever, huge meals with sides unlimited red flash and a funnel cake or giant pretzel was too much food for one person i loved it
poltergeist is my favorite coaster here for sure but i went like 10 years ago Also the goliath here is actually the batman ride from six flags new orleans/ jazzland that got sent over after hurricane katrina
I went during this October as a Diamond Elite, and Superman, Rattler, and even Wonder Woman were closed for a majority of the day. As someone who barely gets to texas I was incredibly dissapointed.
I went for the first time this year . It was great all the rides were running even though I only had time to ride a few on my way back to Dallas not too crowded no long wait times I wish this were my home park.
When I went last year, I didn’t have any problems. I think it was the perfect day. It wasn’t windy but I wasn’t ever too hot. Plus since I had the platinum flash pass the lines were like 5 minutes or less besides iron rattler. I think that’s probably the best experience I’ve had at a park.
“That giant water fall - Seriously, where do you see this besides maybe disney” *SILVER DOLLAR CITY HAS ENTERED THE CHAT* **DOLLYWOOD HOLDS OPEN THE DOOR**
I went there in February on Super Bowl Sunday and had the *BEST* Experience ive ever had at a park. No lines. I got to ride Wonder Woman repeatedly without leaving my seat - and i was the only one on the train. Got plenty of rides on Iron Rattler, and a few on everything else (Except boomerang and the 4D free spin - already had both credits) Here’s a video from my trip:ua-cam.com/video/xfuB91DomrE/v-deo.html
I've just started thinking about checking this park out and tickets are surprisingly inexpensive (especially compared to what I paid recently for Universal Orlando). Thanks for the rundown on the park and why you like it. Do you have a recommendation on best time of year to avoid crowds? I know all about the weather in Texas so I can figure that part out myself. Normally I try to be in parks on weekdays or during a shoulder season and of course if you can nab a weekday during a shoulder season so much the better. And if you had to pick only one tell me why you wouldn't go to Sea World instead?
You’re so right about weekdays in a shoulder season. The end of summer around late August and early September is my favorite time to go because the crowds are going back to school and the water park is still open. Also, there’s a night show with projections on the quarry and fireworks every night in summer season and it’s amazing! It may still be hot, but I think it’s worth it!
I love this park! They have WAY better management than Over Texas. It seems they really take pride in fulfilling guest experience. Over Texas really needs better management.
Fiesta Texas is a great park. Me and my wife went here on our honeymoon, and even though it was packed, we got to ride Iron Rattler and Wonder Woman at night. I walked off my first Raptor with a nice mark on my shoulder. I would like to see a Gravity Group woodie that uses the quarry to their advantage. After all, they're known for working with tough terrain (Voyage) and tight spaces (Boardwalk Bullet)
Fun Story Time: When I went to Fiesta Texas for the first time, we had the time to go for two days. I booked both of them, just to be sure we could hit everything. First day, we immediately decided to go the Goliath, but there was a problem. A thunderstorm was rolling in. We got into the restraints when they told us to hop off and wait in line. We waited IN THE STATION for the storm to pass, but gave up after an hour or so. We walked through the park, trying to find any ride that was open. We got to ride the Hurricane at the boardwalk, and that was it. (A similar thing happened to me when going to Over Texas for the first time in a while. We're only able to ride a few rides, and park closed) We decided to leave for our hotel, kind of bummed that we didn't ride anything. But then the next day, we were able to ride everything we wanted. We sadly didn't get to go on some of the rides like Batman the ride or Joker, because we had those same rides at Over Texas. But still, amazing park. Probably the best themed out of all of them.
It's the nicest Six Flags park for sure. I still give SFMM the edge as best in the chain overall because of the quality of the ride collection and the fact that it has my pick for best coaster in the chain (X2) but Fiesta Texas is a nicer park when you are looking at the park itself. It's essentially the Knotts Berry Farm of Six Flags.
When airtime thrills has been to your home park more than you 😃
Exactly. I’ve only been twice and I only live a couple hours away.
Hey, he’s never been to Michigan’s Adventure
And neither have I.
Ikr
Same😩
This me and Fiesta is even my home park 🤣
Haven't been there but it looks like the most beautiful park in the chain.
Woah, weren't expecting you here 😂
@CZsWorld you like roller coasters too?
Its so much fun
Oh it's my home park and I love it, though I am dying to go to La Rhonde
It is I live there
Watching Airtime Thrills is the best cure for coaster withdrawals

Hot take: Irat is better than road runner express
You serious?
Edgy.
Dude warn everyone before dropping a bomb like that
I’m gonna have to disagree with you there
WHOA now THATS a hot take!!!

Yeah I’d like to see this too. I’m a newer enthusiast so I’d love that
I remember the vid on the worst day at a park, I’ve kind of been waiting for this video, keep it up Chris!
I had a great experience in June 2019 and planning to go back there! Iron Rattler is my favorite coaster and fiesta Texas as a whole is my favorite park
I love these My Experience/Park Review videos. They give great information and make me more (or less) excited to visit them. Keep them up!
That into will never get old, great work on the video too! :)
going to this place on thursday, or in one day. super excited to go here, i go every summer and everytime i'm extatic. fantastic park, my all time favorite! :D
Always an insta click for me! This is exactly the kind of quality videos you always push out. Keep them coming!!!
That’s a nice park!! Magic Mountain has changed a lot over the years. It used to stay open until 2am, and we used to get fireworks!!! 😩

Your ‘worst day’ video was the first one I had seen of yours. I have enjoyed your videos ever since.
I had pretty much stopped being a coaster fan because my home park was Elitch Gardens. I came to San Antonio for college and Fiesta Texas basically reinvigorated my love. Such an awesome park!
That quarry wall is so unique. Makes the park really stand out!

2:20 Chris going to fiesta Texas every time he is hungry
No joke
if you hit iron rattler its all worth the commute

I went to Fiesta Texas only once on a rainy day back in March. Luckily crowds were light so I was able to knock out every coaster there.
I just left there for the first time. All rides were open and the place is BEAUTIFUL! Best looking 6 flags park by far.
Elitch garden’s?
They really do need a woody in the lineup . Maybe something like boardwalk bullet at Kehma , would fit perfect in the boardwalk area at SFFT .
I like how Fiesta Texas took a cue from Six Flags Mexico to theme the queues. That one looks similar to Mexico's Joker queue.
this park is awesome. I had a similar windy experience in 2019, but with a flash pass I was able to get 7 rides on iRat, but I don’t have all the credits. Also, I’m high key addicted to your videos rn, can we please get another release schedule?
Hmm maybe i will post my November schedule
I work there and poltergeist is a pain when it comes to wind. It closes so much it’s annoying. But I think a wood coaster would be amazing
Good to see my home park getting some love!
Iron Rattlers looks amazing. I would like to go there someday!
Tigris opened at BGT on the day you went to Fiesta Texas on April the 19th :)
Fiesta Texas is my home park, and the rides like superman and poltergeist are great rides to cool off if you're sweaty.
(In fact my first major theme park at all, as I hadn't been to any in my home country before)
However, the theming is to a good point due to the fact that this park hasn't always been a Six Flags Park.
Love the video's man keep it up!
Great video, glad my home park could redeem itself 🤟
They could make a nice board walk theme with a woodie, there's a Pandemonium down state and it would be a small price to pay for a great thrill ride
Used to go to fiesta texas alot I always considered it the most scenic six flags park that I've been too
It’s a good day when airtime thrills posts a video
Was going to try going in Nov/Dev to avoid the heat and crowds but after reading up on it and watching videos I’m really nervous about rides being closed.
The Joker: Carnival of Chaos is intense. The height and the speed are spectacular, but you'd better have an iron stomach for it and for Batman: The Ride. I saw plenty of people who were green in the gills after those two. I couldn't ride Iron Rattler when I went. It broke down when I was in line. Wonder Woman is excellent, and Superman is particularly good.
Their dining pass is the best deal ever, huge meals with sides unlimited red flash and a funnel cake or giant pretzel was too much food for one person i loved it
poltergeist is my favorite coaster here for sure but i went like 10 years ago
Also the goliath here is actually the batman ride from six flags new orleans/ jazzland that got sent over after hurricane katrina
This was like me for SDC, Time traveler was closed half the day, but the park is still my favorite.
News from Holiday world Indiana. During talk, owners talk of possible RMC legend and new PTC coaster for new easter section.
The legend will continue....
Can you do a series where you say what coaster or attraction each cedar fair and each six flags park needs to complete its lineup??
I could definitely see a Woodie to replace Pandemonium. It would fit well in the boardwalk area.
Never been to Fiesta Texas but I’d love to get a ride on Iron Rattler. But I’m gonna have to drop A LOT of weight to fit
Welp, here, in Cali, we're still far from the opening of theme parks. Lucky you anywhere else.
“That giant water fall - Seriously, where do you see this besides maybe disney”
*SILVER DOLLAR CITY HAS ENTERED THE CHAT*
**DOLLYWOOD HOLDS OPEN THE DOOR**
I went there in February on Super Bowl Sunday and had the *BEST* Experience ive ever had at a park. No lines. I got to ride Wonder Woman repeatedly without leaving my seat - and i was the only one on the train. Got plenty of rides on Iron Rattler, and a few on everything else (Except boomerang and the 4D free spin - already had both credits) Here’s a video from my trip:ua-cam.com/video/xfuB91DomrE/v-deo.html
Damn the old school six flags sign on the parking booth that's awesome! Who else had it on there booth?
I conquered 3 rides today, Goliath, Superman, and iron rattler o was going to do Wonder Woman but it started to rain
It may still be hot, but I think it’s worth it!
does the train on iron rattler still stall on the lift hill?if it doens't , i'd say it would be a top 5 coaster
I love iron rattler and everytime I ride it but if the line is long and it's running one train😣
That's a rip
Chris, I think you're whining about the long path in & out of IRat. 😎 Glad you had a much better time this year.
I worked at this park for 3 years and I loved it. Fiesta Texas is a great hometown park.
I absolutely loved this park when I visited and it’s my favorite Six Flags park
