In OoT, I once fell asleep playing the game for the umpteenth time while approaching King Dodongo - I woke back up and saw that the heart was waiting for me and he was defeated; I killed him in a mostly-asleep state and don’t remember fighting him. Love that game :P

Yo I respect the fact that you had humble beginnings and also worked for what you wanted. I didn’t get shit new either man and that’s why I appreciate things more today. I know you can understand that.
Phantom Hourglass may be my all-time favourite Zelda game so far. I love it's focus on puzzles and mysteries, I love it's exploration, and I especially love the Ocean King's Temple. Loving the Ocean King's Temple may seem a bit strange to some, but the Temple is really not repetitive. The point of the temple is to basically speedrun it; to make notes detailing strategies to get through it with as much time remaining as possible. Each repeated run you will be faster and each repeated run you can try to further optimise your strategy. If you play like that then after a while you will become very powerful. The Phantoms that at first posed a challenge to overcome will then seem like total buffoons because you have your map detailing a good strategy of how to pass them. And what is best, unlike the sword you later get that can also make the Phantoms a joke by just killing them, the strategy is something you have made instead of something the game just gave you. But if you go through the temple without making strategies for next time, then the temple is very annoying. I think that many people who hate the temple just hate it because they made no use of the map to strategise and the temple is pretty terrible when played that way.
I hated that temple as a kid and always needed someone to play through the later levels for me since the phantoms scared me. I always used like 8-9 minutes to get to the halfway point, now I the temple of the ocean king is my favorite temple of the game not counting the boss I didn’t care for the bellum nearly as much a some of the other bosses
Glad you brought up the need for a guide for Majora’s Mask. I don’t like playing with guides, so that game was very challenging for me, and I never figured out the sum total of the famous couple’s side quest. I got through a lot of it, but not all of it. I don’t know how people 100% these games without guides honestly.
Yeah Majoras was the only game I had to resort to a fully fledged guide lol. The other games every now and then I'd ask for advice or look up where a tedious heart piece was. I think people 100% these games without a guide by playing it over and over again and trying everything. That was my Zelda 1 experience lol.
honestly majoras mask is the best zelda game to replay, and I don't even think it's close. The game rewards you so much for memorization due to the 3 day cycle, so when you successfully pull off something like the anju quest through pure memory it feels super good. Also this game has the best atmosphere in any zelda game, bar none.
Stumbled upon one of your Animal Crossing vods, watched a solid 2 hours not even realizing it and then i navigated myself here, watched the entire video enjoying it very much. As a very casual Zelda fan who hasn't played all the games, this made me want to try some of them out for the first time!
Hey! thanks for checking out the video, glad you enjoyed that and the animal crossing stuff :D. You should totally check out the games in the Zelda series, they're all pretty fun and it might be the best time to get into it since now there's a movie on the way officially.
It's crazy how your list is exactly like mine! Link to the past has a hold on my heart for the same reason as you. Pure nostalgia! A truly great and replayable game, I honestly never get bored of it. Twilight Princess is another that I find very replayable and just so much fun. I love dungeons and there is not a lack of it there. However I LOVE city in the sky. LOL. Great video my friend, you have a new sub.
Honestly Minish Cap is probably one of my favorite Zelda games next to TP and A link to the past. Just how relaxing it is to play plus It’s a beautifully designed game with a cool mechanic and honestly 2 of the best 2D dungeons in the series the palace of winds and the temple of teardrops
I enjoyed the reasoning you had for each list. I did end up enjoying BOTW more than TOTK but that has more to do with my lack of enjoyment for the open world sandbox genre. BOTW felt more fresh for the period I enjoyed it, with TOTK, I think my first thought was “so it’s the same as BOTW but has Minecraft mechanics”. The dungeon themes and bosses were better but had the same issue of just feeling barren of life. Also I wish they didn’t do the fragmented story. Regardless though Nintendo did a fantastic job of what they set out to do. SS: OOT. ALTTP S: WW A: MM ALB B: AOL C: BOTW TP LOZ D: TOTK F: SS
Thank you for putting these in order and for saying the name of each item as you talk about it. You'd think these would be no brainers for a sensible video but it seems usual for tier lists to show items in random order and not say their name, like you have to be in the "in crowd" to know what they're talking about
This list is awfully close to my own except I rank BOTW much higher than TOTK. I especially agree with ST being dead last. The hair dryer thing was hilarious!
Good list but I would put TOTK in C. was too tedious and got boring quickly for me. I also hated the Ultrahand/building mechanic. Everything else is close to what my list would be. OoT, TP, and ALttP are definitely in my top 3 as well.
Completely fair. If you didn’t enjoy the building then yeah the game would have gotten tedious very quick. It does take a bit of getting used to for sure.
Note about Wind Waker: LoZ is my favorite game franchise. Ever. Knowing that people were legitimately annoyed at WW's art style pissed me off. The fact that the "fans" wanted more realism over a fantasy style game was just baffling to me. Then they made Twilight Princess and those same "fans" critiqued it for being dark and gloomy. I never understood the mindset about that. WW stands as my 2nd favorite Zelda with ALttP being my absolute favorite still.
Spirit Tracks in F tier......not off to a great start, especially since the thrust of your argument is the microphone; aside from the spirit flute, there is really not all that much use. Moreover, the Spirit tower was a massive step up from the temple of the ocean, & your comment about extra backtracking in it is objectively wrong, as there is some optional BT but otherwise, you move through it in a linear line. You are probably operating on your sense of what the game was, rather than what it actually was. I will watch the rest of the list later. ...now I am really baffled by Spirit Track's placement, knowing that you played Triforce Heroes alone.
requiring every heart piece is on you & your own neurosis, people ruining games because of their own completionist fixations should only blame themselves, Harsh but true
@@personnelproton if we were in a room together, with a copy of spirit Tracks, it would be so easy to demonstrate the game’s strengths, while also showing the smallness of your complaints, whatever they may be. Nobody has to like to like what I like, but if you’re reasoning is silly, I will point it out.
Flop a link to the past & OOT, and add WW to S tier, and this list is pretty spot on with mine. Glad to see BOT & TOTK not automatically being the top ranked games. Both solid games, but when ranked with other Zelda games, they fall short of being S tier IMO.
Thanks man :D Have fun with those two, i'll be keeping an eye open for them if you stream them for sure. Would love to hear what you think of them when you're done
The hairdryer thing is hilarious. I too played Spirit Tracks on the 3DS. I too had issues with it. I did not know you could use a hair dryer. The only time I really had an issue was the final song. I messaged my friend about 10 minutes into failing to say I was getting pissed off with it. When I finally did it I checked back to see how long it had been - +90 minutes to play 1 song. I wanted to launch the 3DS out of my window. 10/10 frustrating. My least favourite Zelda game (barring 2 which we won't count).
Yup sounds about right lol. Admittedly, the hair dryer started off as a bit where for a particular temple I was saying they sold an accessory back in the day to make gameplay easier and then I went and pulled out the hair dryer. Did not know that it was something that would save me a massive headache (literally) with that final song.
I'm suprised Majora's Mask was so high as you played the 3DS version, it's got janky controls in an attempt to make it easier. Most people view the OG as the definitive way to play
I personally didn’t find them janky, it was fine. Unless the controls were the worst thing in the world, I don’t think it would have had any impact on how I felt about the game to make it lower rank. I genuinely enjoyed the game but also had the n64 versions available if worse came to worse (which it didn’t)
@@tildeshambles it's mostly the slower movement, they made the deku scrub slower but didn't change the distance of the lily pads in the swamp so he can't cross as easily stuff like that but I'm glad you enjoyed it either way
@@tildeshambles Mostly the zora swimming was heavily nerfed in the 3ds, same with deku scrubs. The bosses were also made kinda worse because of how obvious the weakpoints were, and this kinda took away what made the original bosses great since none of them had obvious weakspots unlike other zelda games so it felt like an actual fight instead of a puzzle. Another great thing that the n64 version had was the atmosphere, since the game looked and felt a lot more muddy instead of the clean look that the 3ds version went for which quite frankly didn't work for the game tbh.
I feel like the sky island to be a bit disappointing because of the repetitive nature of it its ether a lake with fish, a plus sign, or a ball with a few exceptions. And don’t get me wrong the sky island for the story where fun it’s just the regular over world one where duds.
Yeah I didn't really touch on the sky islands because they were fine in my opinion. They weren't something amazing, but at least they served a good purpose and were varied enough. They were repetitive for sure towards the end, the underground felt repetitive very quickly.
@@chambeet Yeah at least the sky islands had some variety with the low gravity and looked visually different. The shrines contributed towards links power as well. I didn't talk about them because they were okay. Not amazing just okay. The underground... it didn't take long for me to ask myself what the point of it was.
i originally had the same reaction to the intro sequence of TOTK. I was so excited that there was an actual story. then I got through the tutorial area and went down to hyrule and saw zelda standing on the floating castle and felt it again. but then the rest of the story is told through the memory sequence and 1 cutscene copy and pasted at the end of each dungeon and i was very disappointed. the ending sequence was cool but zelda returning to normal again removed all emotional stakes that were set up
Yeah, that's another downside of the open world format for Zelda games. For some reason Nintendo felt like because the player could go to any area, they needed to tell that part of the story each time. Not sure why they weren't clever about it and had it so regardless of the order you did things in that it would add something new each time. Guess because it would require more voice acting work? *shrugs*
I played SS on Wii and on Switch with motion controllers and enjoyed both times. Though I did prefer TP on GameCube over the Wii, I think playing a game the way it was intended definitely helps the experience.
Honestly, Triforce heroes is the ONLY truly bad Zelda game. Even with multiplayer, the gameplay gets worse and worse… by the end, my friends and I were beating the game out of obligation
How did the bird boss fight feel in multiplayer out of interest? I was pulling my hair out but I thought maybe it might have been better in multiplayer.
Lol figured as much. I gave the game the benefit of the doubt though and it was still less frustrating than what I had to resort to for spirit tracks microphone sections.
@@tildeshambles While I think Spirit Tracks is a better game, the microphone gimmick RUINED the game. If I gave the game a 10/10, the microphone gimmicks alone would drop the game to a 5/10.
The thing I'll disagree is the renting system in lbw. In pretty much every title, the item you get in the dungeon is the one you defeat the final boss. I like the mystery of what you need to beat them. But great list. New sub looking forward to your next video
That’s a fair point about not knowing what item to use in the fight. I guess for me I felt the way I felt because I got to see what weapons the game had to offer pretty early and it killed the mystery of how many new weapons the game had when compared to a link to the past. So it’s kind of the same thing. The item rental spoils the items themselves, the dungeon items spoil the strategy when you play enough games. I’m more of a fan of learning of an item one by one. But to each their own. Anyway thanks for watching 😃
OoT was the first Zelda game I played and I still do not think it is better than ALttP, BotW, or Phantom Hourglass. OoT is a good game, but the combat sucks, the time mechanic sucks, Hyrule is barren, and it lacks interesting gimmicks. The game is not perfect, and it is not perfectly suited for everybody. There is no shame in not thinking OoT is the best Zelda game.
Noooo, DON'T use a guide for Zelda 1! The whole POINT is to throw you off by giving you something completely unintuitive like having to straight up walk through a wall (it WAS a hallway going nowhere, after all, and STRAIGHT to a black spot on the map, pretty conspicuous!) -- the whole POINT is that it made you have that feeling again of "I genuinely DON'T know what to do." Think about it, when's the last time you've actually felt that way in a game, let alone as an adult in life? Remember what it was like being a kid and being UTTERLY confused? Zelda 1 made you feel that again.
I have had experiences where I didn’t know where to go next and have been in awe at the world and the exploration plenty in newer games (like hollow knight, Elden ring etc). I don’t think the original developers intended the game to be unintuitive, that aspect came from localisation and limitations at the time. I say use a guide because I want people to experience this game and give it a try and though as much as I want the purist approach I had as a kid for everyone, that’s not going to happen in the age of the internet.
I know everyone's opinion is incredibly subjective, but Majoras mask on B tier is absurd. Its one of my favorites. Although I did play it as a child, so that's probably a big factor.
Nostalgia is definitely a big part. The nature of these lists make it sound like you think less of a game. So like when I say "B tier" it doesn't too great. But if I wasn't putting a letter against it, I'd be saying its excellent, but I have others that are my personal favs. Way less harsh. But also it was my first time playing so yeah... less nostalgia. Give me a couple more playthroughs, my mind will most likely change.
nice list tho I think ToTK should be even lower lol (imo the amount of recyclement of BoTW is pretty insane, Depths are super bloated, story is mid... and generally it's not nearly as great game in 2023 as BoTW was in 2017)
The story itself in ToTk isn't groudbreaking, you're right. But at least I found it was more present than BoTW. I can definitely agree my experience in 2017 with BoTW was more mind blowing, but part of that would be because the switch was a new console and that it was the first time Zelda was open world since the original game. But yeah I placed it higher just because of the building systems and the fact that enemy camps don't feel pointless in ToTK. Anyway hope you enjoyed the video :)
So happy to see your respect for the handheld games! I totally agree that the original LA is a better experience than the Switch remake and I think it a big reason is how they abandoned the “tiles” format and let you see into areas you aren’t supposed to, really breaking the illusion of a large world. Wow you really hate any gimmick… I never relate to people’s complaints about the figurines and kinstones in MC, or the same decor of the divine beasts. Also, I don’t understand why you feel obligated to get every heart piece if you don’t care about other collectibles. I also can’t understand why anyone would place ST beneath PH as it basically improved everything from that game - though I must admit I’ve never heard of these mic issues. Anyway I was pretty surprised by this list for better and worse 👍🏼
I really don't like Phantom Hourglass after replaying it about a few months ago, but I still love Spirit Tracks. Phantom Hourglass just had a looot of nitpicks from me that just piled onto eachother and made me very reluctant to even finish the game while I was right outside the final boss's area. I didn't really like any of its dungeons, any of its bosses (except like maybe the invisible crab one), I don't really enjoy the ship sailing, and I like actually hate the Ocean King's Temple and how often I had to repeat puzzles in it (especially since I didn't like most of them) are the biggest criticisms I have of it. The only redeeming things about it are Linebeck and the fact you can draw on maps. Tbh, to me it's like the one bad mainline Zelda game.
9:22 fishing in any Zelda game is not my idea of "fun"!! After starting to play video games in '89 I started getting bored with fishing IRL and adding it to a game as an option is fine, but I'm a completionist and if ANYTHING is required to get by fishing, I'm out!!
1. Breath of the wild 2. Wind waker 3. Twilight princess 4. Ocarina of time 5. Tears of the kingdom 6. Majoras mask 7. Skyward sword 8. A link between worlds 9. Legend of zelda 10. Zelda 2
I think you would’ve ranked Majoras Mask higher if you played the original version instead of the 3DS. I played both, and the 3DS version felt watered down compared to the original.
Nah the worst heart piece in phantom hourglass is the shooting gallery with the bow... My god... How does anyone get 2000 points on that?!?! U have to hit everything and can't miss once! The fishing one was tedious, but I caught the fish on the first try, its just patience.. The bow gallery is pure skill.
Weirdly enough, the bow one didn't cause me too much trouble. I had the same thoughts initially where I was like "wow really, you have to be pretty much perfect", but after a few attempts I got it. I don't mind things that take a while because they require mastery and skill. You feel good when you achieve it. The fish quest... I dunno... it just felt like padding.
you don't actually have to blow into the mic. you can make literally any noise and it will pick it up, as long as you're close enough to the mic or you're loud enough
I tried several methods chat members suggested like yelling into the mic or rubbing the mic with my fingernail and they sort of worked, but not reliably enough. I dunno if it was just my 3ds or the 3ds in general but it didn’t pick it up right. So I resorted to the hairdryer because it worked every time lol. Either way, the game has too much of those segments. It wouldn’t have changed how I felt about the game.
Is there a comment somewhere with the ratings or a final picture of the tiers? I can’t watch an hour + video . For me Top Tier: 1) Twilight Princess 2) A Link Between Worlds Good Tier: Link to the Past Links Awakening Switch Links’s Awakening GBA Ocarina of Time Four Swords Adventures Good but has problems : Skyward Sword I haven’t beaten Wind Waker and I’m currently playing Tears of the Kingdom.
That’d be pretty cool. I’d love to try that game with people one day. Who knows, it might happen. Nintendo seems to be remastering/remaking a lot of gamecube stuff lately.
My top two will forever be ocarina of time and a link to the past..no mechanics mixed with prehistoric art no studio Ghibli style crushing the classic fairytale style no complicated mechanical characters and rusty metals no large empty aeras that fill you with nostalgia and longing for the old games..bring back Hyrule in its prime please Nintendo! Next game massive open world and fine graogics as in tears of the Kingdom only woth castles and fairys instead of koroks and rust.
I can't believe you put Skyward Sword so low! It might be my favorite... though it's so hard to say because Zelda games are all sooo good! I feel like there are some things that it did better than any other Zelda. One of the things about Fi was precisely because she was created with no emotion and yet in the end of the game it was one of the most touching moments of any Zelda game... I mean, every time I hear that Fi sound in BOTW or TOTK, I can't help but to remember the journey with Fi as a companion and want to see her show up in a greater way once again.
@theonlybilge Yeah, the swimming isn't AS GOOD, and? Let's just completely disregard all of the improvements made to that version. Never mind that you probably praise those same improvements in Oot 3d, but no, no, no, the Bombers notebook is too handholdey, right? Lol
@@AwakeTheFall The Bombers' Notebook improvements are fine. What _isn't_ are the changes to the bosses by putting giant fucking eyeballs on them, and the changes to the ice arrows. And the swimming isn't just "not as good" in 3D, it's *bad.*
Now that I have finished the list, saying this with all the respect, did not particularly enjoy your reasoning process, & in some instances, you were completely wrong. 1. I get that the spirit flute is a bit arduous, but I also played that game on the 3ds, & made it work, even if not, having that one small aspect monopolize your view of the game is dramatic & silly. Also, as dense as the spirit tower is, there is no greater amount of ACTUAL backtracking present. I would know I played it three times, in fact, I average 3 1/2 playthroughs per game, in the franchise, weird flex I know but assume I am remembering correctly. 2. Playing triforce heroes by yourself is not the intended experience; & so if the game is balanced for cooperative puzzle-solving, why give it any kind of demerit for not being balanced for Single Player....beat em ups are not that fun by yourself either. Regardless your complaint does not stand if they simply removed the single player altogether. 3. Unless I have misunderstood you, you played Majora's Mask completely wrong. The answer to your second complaint is in your first complaint, the arbitrary divide about what carries over & what does not, it is all pretty simple, perishables & chronological events go, and everything else on Link's Person & in his memory stays....particularly songs, & what does one receive before opening a dungeon......a song! This is something that you should have learned at the Wood Temple, how could you not? Once armed with this knowledge, starting on a new cycle, you travel a short distance, probably using one of those owl statues, play the song, & lo & behold, the dungeon, not exactly one of Heracle's labors. That is on you. & unless you are just hopeless at the dungeons, you more than likely have a full day or more to pursue the side tasks. If not...I guess you have to fight the game's super creative boss for two minutes, definitely a better solution than contradicting the larger themes of the game. Also, using a walk-through spoils the great joy of Majora's mask......observation. Last thing, the idea that this game is divisive is basically outdated, as it fights with Lttp & Oot for the top spot among the Zelda audience. 4. In Windwaker, you can sail perpendicular to the wind with little consequence, if changing the wind is THAT painful; sailing the ocean, in an up-down or side-to-side manner will also minimize the amount of wind changing. Outside of a handful of instances, this is a surefire solution, & an easily deduced one at that. Also, it essentially eliminates most of your prolonged scattershot expeditions. 5. Your arbitrary requirement to collect every heart piece is a millstone you tied around your own neck., in regards to Minish Cap, maybe try to preserve the enjoyment of a game by engaging with the enjoyable content that is readily available. 6. Your slavish determination to gather every heart-piece fails to extend to solving traversal in the rain?! Do not mistake me, the rain is lame, but those games have much more massive problems than it, especially TOTK, in that game you have dozens of options to surmount slick services. While many of your placements were agreeable, I did not care for how you came to them; with the crux of most of your criticisms being easily solvable frustrations, rather than any kind of deep dive into fundamental shortcomings, or design failures. Nice video though
Hey! I really like the story in Majoras and the world design. The story on its own I would put in A tier because it's the kind of story I love. What dropped it down was just the gameplay didn't gel with me at times so the overall grade was a B. I still really like the game. Thanks for watching!
good list! personally id drop twilight princess down to A: the first half of the game for me has a lot of really good story beats, but kinda lame dungeons, and the second half has the opposite. feels like the story just drops off the face of the earth until the end. then zant...is just taken over by ganondorf. never really liked that, and never really liked the boss fight. to me, twilight princess would have been better if they had stopped trying to emulate ocarina. My favorite is majoras, but i cant disagree on your placement. its pretty damn annoying for a first playthrough. cant really forget my knowledge of the game tho, so that issue is gone. Im also just..NOT a fan of botw. like at all. its got lots of good things, but for me, it feels like a completely different game. dunno if id drop it more than bottom of b tho.
I can agree with the sentiment on twilights story being better in the first half for sure, pretty all your your points are the reason I opened with “I’m a little worried about placing twilight above ocarina” lol. I’ll see how I feel about majoras in future, but there are definitely parts where I feel majoras was better than ocarina for sure. The thing about knowledge though, for example in Zelda 1 I know that game like the back of my hand but I still gave it a lower rating purely to recognise that my knowledge and nostalgia helped carry what weighs that game down for most. Breath of the wild for sure was a divisive game. I know a few people who didn’t gel with it so it’s not an uncommon opinion to not like it. Anyway thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed! 😁
I'm going to have to question your claim that Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time Zeldas were the only iterations that "had a personality outside of the typical damsel in distress." I think you're confusing "personality" with "presentation," because many other Zelda games have distinct characterization for their Zeldas, but they're all presented as "Zelda," whereas Sheik and Tetra are presented as their own characters before they are revealed to be Zelda. Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword have two of the best Zeldas in the series, one a feisty companion character that subverts the dignity and innocence of the previous Zeldas, the other a sweet love interest that Link is forced to watch slowly drift away over the course of the game due to designs beyond either of their control. Sure, the latter qualifies as a damsel, but the former only resembles one, and when you take into consideration the way that Sheik and Tetra's roles change after their big reveals, what kind of distinctions are we trying to make?
Hey, you are correct in saying that all the Zeldas characters have their own personalities. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was saying there was no personality in the other games. When I look at all the iterations of Zelda, Tetra and Sheik stand out simply because of both their visual design, how they act, and for how long they remain with that sort of dynamic as a whole for the duration of the game. Ultimately all Zelda characters have needed rescuing, so I don't really think it's a factor when judging any of them towards the end of the game. We've had this series for such a long time so I really did appreciate when Nintendo subverted both from a visual and personality presentation. The Zelda in Spirit Tracks does subvert the personality expectations for sure, but the visual presentation is still the same and from the get go she's in trouble and needs help right away. It would have been nice if that wasn't the case so early on. Skyward sword on the other hand did explore her character for sure... but I dunno I still saw her as the same princess... just the story being framed as a love story gave her a lot more depth. But that's just my opinion of course. I had high hopes for Zelda in ToTK because they set her up to be a different personality, with a somewhat different visual presentation... but then it fell flat when they used the exact same plot thread as BoTW where she was effectively in a stasis state waiting for Link. Anyway thanks for watching and replying. Hope you enjoyed
I am going to assume you’re not an idiot and that you know that S has been a common ranking for above “A” for a very long time. If you do not believe me, look it up.
@@PhantomTMac Also, why do you tell me to look it up if I do not believe it, right after you claimed to be going to assume that I know it? If I know it, then I believe it. If I believe it, then there is no point in telling me to 'do something if I do not believe it' because the premise does not hold.

You perfectly explained what i love about the ocean king's temple too!
@@tildeshambles Good call.
honestly majoras mask is the best zelda game to replay, and I don't even think it's close. The game rewards you so much for memorization due to the 3 day cycle, so when you successfully pull off something like the anju quest through pure memory it feels super good.
Also this game has the best atmosphere in any zelda game, bar none.
Man. I really enjoyed this video, thank you. Haven't watched something with so much passion in a long time.
Imagine still buying into the Navi hate meme.
I never really had a problem with Navi. Sure in the child era she was annoying during the first 2 dungeons but never irked me that much. Lol
Great minds think alike 🙌 (minus the sky place 🤣, though to be fair the boss is really cool)
Sprit tracks was great that zelda got to be apart of your adventure and she had more to do on it than any other game
Love finding fellow Aussie Zelda lovers, especially those of a similar age to me. Keep up the good wotk!
SS: OOT. ALTTP
S: WW
A: MM ALB
B: AOL
C: BOTW TP LOZ
D: TOTK
F: SS
I really enjoyed this video, hope you upload more tier lists! Cheers.
@@NintendoDeepDiverHere’s harsh but true: Spirit Tracks absolutely sucks, and not everyone is required to like the same games as you.
Grow up.
@@personnelproton if we were in a room together, with a copy of spirit
Tracks, it would be so easy to demonstrate the game’s strengths, while also showing the smallness of your complaints, whatever they may be. Nobody has to like to like what I like, but if you’re reasoning is silly, I will point it out.
@@personnelproton”grow up” lol. My brother in Christ, you’re both commenting on an hour and a half long Zelda tier list.
@@Joshwork13 And? I wasn’t aware one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time was exclusive to children, you absolute tool.
Flop a link to the past & OOT, and add WW to S tier, and this list is pretty spot on with mine.
Glad to see BOT & TOTK not automatically being the top ranked games. Both solid games, but when ranked with other Zelda games, they fall short of being S tier IMO.
Loved the vid! I'm most excited to play LTTP and Link Between Worlds for the first time.
Thanks man :D Have fun with those two, i'll be keeping an eye open for them if you stream them for sure. Would love to hear what you think of them when you're done
A Link to the past best game ever!!!
Wow. Nice video. Subbed. Can't wait to try out that Zelda 2 mod! Never heard of it.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. Have fun with the Zelda 2 mod, a lot of the new content is great 😁
Commenting for the algorithm, great video.
I love spirit tracks but i understand. The mic can really suck at times. especially the horrid lokomo songs, the ocean one specifically.
I still like that game overall. Just yeah when putting it in a tier list it’s hard to put it above other games .
@@tildeshambles it's mostly the slower movement, they made the deku scrub slower but didn't change the distance of the lily pads in the swamp so he can't cross as easily stuff like that but I'm glad you enjoyed it either way
@@songsofthehero_ ah okay, I guess because I didn't have a frame of reference prior I didn't notice anything that felt off.
Playing with a hair dryer...my sides are in orbit
I feel like the sky island to be a bit disappointing because of the repetitive nature of it its ether a lake with fish, a plus sign, or a ball with a few exceptions. And don’t get me wrong the sky island for the story where fun it’s just the regular over world one where duds.
Both the sky islands and Depths were repetitive and boring as hell.
@@tildeshambles the low gravity parts were the best, as you said.
I still loved TotK, but was disappointed by the Depths and sky islands.
26:15 they also made 4 swords, meaning they made 4 games.
i originally had the same reaction to the intro sequence of TOTK.
*shrugs*
Based Oracle games enjoyer.
@@tildeshambles it was still frustrating but it was (relatively) easier cuz we could have multiple people move to help better balance it.
Lol figured as much. I gave the game the benefit of the doubt though and it was still less frustrating than what I had to resort to for spirit tracks microphone sections.
@@tildeshambles While I think Spirit Tracks is a better game, the microphone gimmick RUINED the game. If I gave the game a 10/10, the microphone gimmicks alone would drop the game to a 5/10.
,,,,,.,get out.OUT!
Love love love you have link to the past at number one its stl one if my all yime favorite. Im also a 90s kid
I played spirit tracks recently on my DSI XL. I would get light headed because i would be blowing into my mic so hard over and over.
@@tildeshambles Majoras mask is probably the most rewarding game to replay
nice list tho I think ToTK should be even lower lol
(imo the amount of recyclement of BoTW is pretty insane, Depths are super bloated, story is mid... and generally it's not nearly as great game in 2023 as BoTW was in 2017)
The story itself in ToTk isn't groudbreaking, you're right.
39:26 there was a... remaster? on gba already that came out in 02
good video but the oracle games above minish cap, link between worlds, and ESPECIALLY majoras mask which are the top 3 zeldas for me is something
I’d say:
S: BotW, Oracles, WW
A: TotK, MM, OoT
B: LA, LBW, SS, ST
C: TP, MC, AoL, FSA
D: TFH, LoZ LttP
F: FS, PH
1:23 BLASPHEMY!
3:06 I hope you used it on cool mode.
Did you know you could whistle to call the sages to you?
It's the hair dryer for me. I subscribe
9:22 fishing in any Zelda game is not my idea of "fun"!! After starting to play video games in '89 I started getting bored with fishing IRL and adding it to a game as an option is fine, but I'm a completionist and if ANYTHING is required to get by fishing, I'm out!!
Interchange link’s awakening and a link to the past and your tier list is valid.
to u
1. Breath of the wild
2. Wind waker
3. Twilight princess
4. Ocarina of time
5. Tears of the kingdom
6. Majoras mask
7. Skyward sword
8. A link between worlds
9. Legend of zelda
10. Zelda 2
Triforce Heroes over ST is insane.
Link is Adventuresome.
Edit: 14:39 Oh
I learned about this thing from Vinesauce.
you don't actually have to blow into the mic. you can make literally any noise and it will pick it up, as long as you're close enough to the mic or you're loud enough

F Tier in the vacuum of Zelda tier lists. It's alright otherwise.
I loved four swords adventures i wish that would get a remake for switch with online coop
That’d be pretty cool. I’d love to try that game with people one day. Who knows, it might happen. Nintendo seems to be remastering/remaking a lot of gamecube stuff lately.

Why’d you start skipping around? Is this the order you played them in?
I can't believe you put Skyward Sword so low! It might be my favorite... though it's so hard to say because Zelda games are all sooo good! I feel like there are some things that it did better than any other Zelda. One of the things about Fi was precisely because she was created with no emotion and yet in the end of the game it was one of the most touching moments of any Zelda game... I mean, every time I hear that Fi sound in BOTW or TOTK, I can't help but to remember the journey with Fi as a companion and want to see her show up in a greater way once again.
30:00 Worst heart piece / side quest in video game history! This alone is reason enough to downgrade Minish Cap at least one tier!

31:05 the 3DS version is inferior to the original. The Redux patch on emulation is the best way of playing Majora's Mask.

Your B tier is S tier

Fun fact: The alphabet does not actually start with "S". If you do not believe me, look it up.
I am going to assume you’re not an idiot and that you know that S has been a common ranking for above “A” for a very long time. If you do not believe me, look it up.
@@PhantomTMac Indeed, putting "S" before "A" is a common mistake. Hence why my fun fact is worth stating.
@@PhantomTMac Also, why do you tell me to look it up if I do not believe it, right after you claimed to be going to assume that I know it? If I know it, then I believe it. If I believe it, then there is no point in telling me to 'do something if I do not believe it' because the premise does not hold.
