As an "Original Transcon RR" enthusiast, I love to learn of the old ROW's back East. Our action starts 700 miles East of West Coast. Traveling the UP/CPRR ROW in WY., UT,. NV,., CA., one can find artifact-sites from 1864-1869 to ponder, when considering our former greatness, as a fulfillment of Manifest Destiny. And, the people instrumental in it's building', are fascinating to study...such as Grenville Dodge, Sam and Jenny Reed, Thomas Durant, future Pres. Grant, Jack, Dan, and Francis Casement, James Strobridge, Arthur Brown, Sam Montague, and others. A book I recommend to those wanting to know more is: "Westward To Promontory", by Barry Combs. The photos by A.J. Russell therein are outstanding. No PC. Thanks for a nice video. Subscribed.

The Frog Wars, I love that story. The Reading had a 999 year lease of this line from the Delaware & Bound Brook RR. Conrail eminent domained the line, then it spent a decade in court over taxes owed, Drayton v. United States, 1986. Now its CSX and nothing interesting happens.
