for next project build with SLAB MASTER FORM ,better product ,no bracing request ,no backfill before pouring concrete and better EPS density, adjustable to all concrete ticknest .
@@JimSperanza I get really scared about pipes breaking under the slab….If It’s insulated with 2” EPS, and the wings go out 36” from the footer (also 2”), do you think I’m overreacting? I will be building around Piedmont SD….3000 AFI (?) and 48” frost depth….thanks
No footer drains and the foundation and footer are raised up about 2 feet from the surrounding grade. Rain spouts will be ran into 4 inch piping and into the nearby drainage ditch.
I'm a lone worker myself. For me, other people around disrupts my concentration. Of course, no one knows everything, so I get my human input from UA-cam. I can start, take breaks, quit, at my own convenience which I like the most. Having things like skidloaders and laser levels make it possible.

So this is on a crawl space, correct? And why is the outside form so high, as the inner….ooops, forget it; you’re pouring a footer…
@@mattborden1816 no crawlspace. Monolithic slab/footer

@mattborden1816 I need to make a video of all the reasons you don't need to worry about your pipes freezing under your slab. Keep an eye out.

DID YOU INSTALL FOOTER DRAINS? AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH RAIN SPOUTS?

Was rebar required and placed in the footer ? About how many inches of the form are exposed and need to be flashed on the exterior ?
Rebar was placed into the footer. I typically use a 6 inch steel flashing then backfill to keep about 4 inches exposed which gives a nice clean look.
Thanks for the quick response ! Are you a general contractor/builder ? Your quite knowledgeable about all facets of your build .
@qualitybydesign5119 yes Speranza Development LLC. I offer designs and consulting services for residential builds.
What is your frost depth at this location?
@@mattborden1816 frost depth is 42" where I am
I would build a castle on a well tamped bed of crusher
About 8 inches of CR1 and rake out 2 inches of washed 1 inch and she's perfecto!
