Surrey Reserve featuring Brit & Rey - Rey, The Defender - 12-16-23

Rey brought a bird prey to the nest and Brit joins him with one of her own. Both are vocalizing and on alert. Apparently someone is flying about. They are watchful and vocalize. Before Rey defends the nest, Brit decides she wants his prey as well. After all, she is the Queen of the Nest. And we have a bit of a food fight. After this bit of a ruckus, Rey hops to the little perch and climbs up to the balcony. Rey had flown when in the top left of the screen, we see two eagles flying across the sky. Rey is in hot pursuit of this would be intruder. On a distant branch, we can see where Rey lands and begins to clean his beak. Brit stays in the nest and after watching the chase, she begins to eat. She isn't concerned with Rey perched at the distant branch and keeping watch over their territory. So proud of Rey as he takes on the role of the defender of the nest and Brit with the prey.
