Brilliant! I didn't know you could use alcohol with acrylic inks! And I actually have an airbrush (unused for a long time!) I'm going to have a play! I love trees so it would be a great way to make some abstract trees! Thank you!
This is great, I have been doing acrylic paint pouring for a couple of years now and sell locally. Getting ready to try the alcohol inks, they are so much more vibrant. I read you do not prep your canvases, I have read/watch all different answers, I like yours the best 😂
Lovely! My favorite colors. Fantastic video. Thank you for this. Also wold you happen to know if the music has a name for this piece. I actually love the music so much I will put the video on just for the music.
I mixed it up, I sprayed both at different times. I think next time I will just stick with one or the other so I can really gauge how each will work with the inks.
Amanda this is beautiful. Do you have to prep the canvas and looks like no base coat is on the canvas. Can you varnish and or resin when cured? Do you paint the sides when done? Sorry so many questions but I want to start using acrylic inks.
I did not prep the canvas, I buy ones that are pre-gessoed. Yes varnish or resin will work to finish it. I didn't finish the sides but you can always do that!
I have one bottle that is all water and one that is 91% alcohol. I did not mix the water and alcohol until I was spraying it onto my canvas. So no real ratio.
Hi...did you mixed water with rubbing alcohol in spray bottle or you used two seperate bottles for both. And what is that tool which you used for air ?
Beautiful, it was cool when the ink started fractals. So awesome. Love this 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Thank you! Playing around like this has been so much fun. And watching the fractals with both the water and rubbing alcohol is amazing!
@@amandasdesignsofficial it's so fun to watch them grow IRL ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the technique; love the result. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise.
Thank you so much!
Amanda, it’s beautiful! Thanks for letting us see the process. Wonderful, thank you. 🙏🙏😊🇬🇧

Beautiful. Thank you. Love seeing your work.
Thank you so much :)
That is just stunning!! It’s beautiful, I love it! Thanks for showing us. 🙏🙏🙏🤗
Thanks so much 😊
Just now caught this video. I have some acrylic inks and have never used them. Now I know how! Thanks for this one.
Glad it was helpful!
This is absolutely amazing!!!
Thank you!
Stunning!!
Thank you! 😊
Brilliant! I didn't know you could use alcohol with acrylic inks! And I actually have an airbrush (unused for a long time!) I'm going to have a play! I love trees so it would be a great way to make some abstract trees! Thank you!
You're welcome! I love using alcohol with the inks, I like the results a lot and it is definitely fun to try out new mixes of products.
Hi. Beautiful piece!
What are the benefits or differences in using alcohol to spread acrylic ink instead of just water?
i like the rubbing alcohol since it evaporates so quickly. Water takes longer to dry.
VERY Beautiful!
Thank you very much!
This is beautiful! I have only worked with alcohol inks but I would love to try acrylic inks too. Do you prep your canvas before painting?
Thank you! No, I did not prep the canvas before hand.
Wry inspiring , I just got myself some acrylics ink and I’m looking how to use in pouring thank you
Have fun working with them!
Do we need a sprayer like this? beautiful
I don't think so, it was just a convenient way for me to control the flow and amount of water.
This is great, I have been doing acrylic paint pouring for a couple of years now and sell locally. Getting ready to try the alcohol inks, they are so much more vibrant. I read you do not prep your canvases, I have read/watch all different answers, I like yours the best 😂
Thank you so much!
These are not alcohol inks like in the stores though. They are pigment inks which means they will not fade like alcohol inks do.
Lovely! My favorite colors. Fantastic video. Thank you for this. Also wold you happen to know if the music has a name for this piece. I actually love the music so much I will put the video on just for the music.
Thank you! I don't remember what the music is, just something from UA-cam's creator studio.
Cool for the childrens !
Is this on porous or non porous canvas? Did you need to put a high good down first to get movement?
Porous, I put rubbing alcohol down to help move the colors.
Gorgeous! Do you spray the water on the acrylic inks only and the rubbing alcohol on the alcoholic inks only or do you mix it up?
I mixed it up, I sprayed both at different times. I think next time I will just stick with one or the other so I can really gauge how each will work with the inks.
Seeing this for first time. Its lovely but im confused, are they acrylic inks or alcohol inks?
These are acrylic inks but I thinned them down with rubbing alcohol just like alcohol inks.
Exactly What percentage rubbing alcohol did you use please?I some 70% would that be ok?....oohhh i like the airbrush idea
I have heard that the higher percentage the better it works. I use 9% or 99% but you could try the 70%.
@@amandasdesignsofficial i see ...then 70mprob not that great! thanks for replying 😘x
Really great.
Thank you!
Nice ! Do you gesso the canvas ?
Mine are pre-primed so I do not worry about adding any more gesso.
Beautiful can I apply resins on top of it if so do i need to seal my work before
Yes, absolutely!
Beautiful!! I just got some inks and can’t wait to try them. Did you prep your canvas with anything? 😍🙌🏼
Nope, just poured on the canvas as is.
@@amandasdesignsofficial Hi plz tell me you mixed water and alcol ink together?
Thank you I love this technique
I'm glad you like it!
This came out absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your talent! Did you prime your canvas before using the inks? If so, what did you use?
Thank you! All of the canvases that I buy are pre-primed so I do not prime them again before painting.
Beautifully done! Question: Did you prep your canvas? If so, what did you use? Thank you for sharing your talents.
Thank you! No, I just use the canvas as is. They come pre-primed.
This is beautiful. Amanda is your canvas dry when you are applying all the alcohol ink?
Thank you! Yes, it is dry but I slowly add the alcohol while adding color.
Doesn’t the alcohol spray make you feel faint?
No, I didn't have an issue. But if you do, I would suggest wearing a mask.
@@amandasdesignsofficial good plan Thankyou ☺️x
beautiful in deed. Can you also add regular acrylic to a ink painting?
Yes you can definitely do a mixed media piece.
Absolutely beautiful, what are you dipping your brush in the cup alcohol or water🤔
I believe it was water.
In big sprey bollet ist alcohol or water ..?
Big spray bottle is water.
So did you use alcohol inks or acrylic inks?
This is acrylic ink.
What ratio of water to alcohol is it?
I have one bottle that is all water and one that is 91% alcohol. I did not mix the water and alcohol until I was spraying it onto my canvas. So no real ratio.
Really beautiful and my kinda colours too! 😻 do you leave it just like that forever? Or do you cover it later with a layer of anything to protect??
I have not finished this with anything yet, but I will use either resin or varnish :)
Hi...did you mixed water with rubbing alcohol in spray bottle or you used two seperate bottles for both. And what is that tool which you used for air ?
I used two separate bottles. I am using an airbrush.
@@amandasdesignsofficial thanks
Can you try this and add Ox Gal to the alcohol?
Ooo interesting, I have never used ox gal but with it being water based that could be an interesting additive. Thank you for the suggestion!
Absolutely fantastic! What a gorgeous outcome. So it's on just a normal primed canvas? I love it! 😀💜🐨🥰⚘
Thank you so much! Yes, this is just a normal pre-gessoed canvas.
Did you do anything to prep the canvas?
No
I luv this. Have you used alcohol inks and if yes, what’s the difference? This is gorgeous. 💜
Thank you! Yes I have used alcohol inks, they are a completely different medium but are really fun to work with!
What is the thing you are blowing air through?
Airbrush: amzn.to/3PIgoSR
What is rubbing alchol?
amzn.to/3rP8s66
That is soo cool!! However, which medium is in the small spray bottle?
I had rubbing alcohol that I was using.
Love
Thank you!!
What’s the gold color you used?
I used pewter from Amsterdam.
