I agree why didn’t rip tell Jimmy in person that John had died he could’ve invited Jimmy down to the Yellowstone to tell him in person. It would’ve been better to do that.
@@rudycarlson8245Jimmy wore the brand but he's free. he was better off far away from the Yellowstone and everyone knew it. Jimmy already almost had to choose the ranch over the love of his life, it would be selfish to drag him back into it. rip really didn't have the heart to tell him, but Travis was understanding enough for the both of them
@averagestan9671 agreed. Why have him travel for hours all the while stressing about what is going on. Cowboy gets to the point and doesn't waste time. Both have jobs to do.
One of if not the best shows!!! Taylor truly has the best shows fr....❤ Don't know how much Hollywood has a hand but if so? Go to Hell!!! If not? Much love Taylor
No not rip...John Dutton had rip handle Jimmy and give him the ultimatum or prison or Yellowstone. Rip said he didn't know why John Dutton was sticking his neck out for Jimmy. Turns out John knew exactly what he was doing.
@@ascendantlogic Indeed. Sheridan is a controversial character but Costner has been a problem to work with for decades. With movies, it's usually not to hard for people to push though it. With a long term TV show, it was bound to be an issue.
The reality is the best thing that could of happened for Dutton Ranch and the SHOW is John dying. John was the villain of the show the same way Walter White was the villain of Breaking Bad. He cared more about the ranch than his own children. He was a horrible father to his adopted son and, with the help of his wife, he turned Beth into a psychopath. The only reason people like his character is because it was played by Kevin Costner and that the character himself occasionally had a moment of actual warmth, the same way people in abusive relationships cling to their partners to catch the odd pearl of love in the sea of abuse they cause. He hired criminals and orphans to make them commit crimes for him under the threat of death. I don't think John Dutton was a truly bad person, but his actions spoke way louder than his words.
Taylor killed John because Costner wasn’t coming back and there was nothing else he could do with the character. Costner didn’t want to do Yellowstone anymore because he was working on his trash western movie series. He said as much in court during the divorce proceedings. It’s not like John would move to California or something.
He’s had multiple shows going along side Yellowstone for years, that wasn’t the issue, Kevin Costner left the show so they had to do something to explain his absence. I doubt he would’ve purposely tarnished the shows ending so close to the finish
Supposedly, the ending with the Ranch being sold to the Reservation was always going to be the ending. The only difference is that John was supposed to still be around, at least until the last episode
Actually Costner wanted time to work on other projects, so he asked for a shortened shooting schedule in Season 5, not more money. Then he and Sheridan started butting heads on creative and schedule in general. Maybe try actually looking for facts before you pretend you have a clue about anything. Makes you look like an idiot.
Sadly The Show Runner not wanting to Pay Kevin Costner what he was asking for and believing that they will continue and be able to make it better without Him time will Tell..🤔
I am so sick of you idiots thinking that Taylor Sheridan was to blame for this. Kevin Costner did it to himself. He had to go and make his movies his two-part Western feature called Horizon he chose to leave. The other cast members like Luke Grimes agree that Kevin Costner made it difficult.
Kosner said in an interview that he didn't know what was gonna happen to John Dutton's character. He didnt say he knew and couldn't tell. He said he had to wait for the script like everyone else to see what comes of John Dutton
Kevin left because this show was becoming woke garbage. Like everything else. Pretty lame show anyways. We did not need 7 spin offs of this stupid show.
You're high. Taylor isn't a great actor but he is as good as most TV guys. He's good in parts he is good at, like in Sons of Anarchy. I mean, he is good enough to have acted steadily since 1995, 20 years before he got into writing seriously
That line about dust in Jimmy's eyes was pretty cool of Travis.
It was, cause he was so hard
I hated this season but Rip saying “I don’t have the heart” is pretty heart wrenching
Thats crazy rip not having the heart to tell jimmy
I agree why didn’t rip tell Jimmy in person that John had died he could’ve invited Jimmy down to the Yellowstone to tell him in person. It would’ve been better to do that.

can u blame
Gonna miss this show
"Cowboys need to grieve; I'll take an hour! crying is for Marys!"
If Jimmy wasn't a cowboy before that, he became one right then and there. He has to "Cowboy up".
"John Dutton passed away." "How?" "That's how I wrote it."
Rip: "I don't have the heart" 😢
One of if not the best shows!!! Taylor truly has the best shows fr....❤ Don't know how much Hollywood has a hand but if so? Go to Hell!!! If not? Much love Taylor
Rip :John Dutton died
Travis: really what happened??
Rip: you wrote the fuckin thing you tell me!!
Haha that actually made me chuckle out loud 😭
I see what you did there.....
lol
What a great scene! Love these actors love this series
He's great at breaking bad news
He was about to say, Dutton was the only one that cared about him. What about rip
No not rip...John Dutton had rip handle Jimmy and give him the ultimatum or prison or Yellowstone. Rip said he didn't know why John Dutton was sticking his neck out for Jimmy. Turns out John knew exactly what he was doing.
What about Lloyd? He was there one who taught Jimmy how to rodeo so he can pay off his debt.😢
I think he was going to say… the only one who didn’t just see me as a piece of shit deadbeat petty criminal
Travis has a love-hate relationship with Jimmy. You get the sense he cares about him but he shows it the wrong way.
I’ve had a few bosses like that. You can learn a lot from those bosses.
True damn cowboy ill take the weekend off not the weeek he wouldn't want to miss work true cowboy and human being
This show is why I want to be a cowboy in my next life
3:20 Grizzy's from Florida...so, you’re pretty close.
When you want to be the main star you have to get rid of the other star.
He Died How.. The Show Runner That's How...🤔
No that was just a rumor, turned out he did himself in after all staring at the Horizon He's just kind of wandered off the edge of a cliff
You mean they wouldn't just let Costner do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted and fuck up their shooting schedule? Clearly the showrunner's fault
@@ascendantlogic Indeed. Sheridan is a controversial character but Costner has been a problem to work with for decades. With movies, it's usually not to hard for people to push though it. With a long term TV show, it was bound to be an issue.
Taylor killed him
Nope it was self-inflicted he was staring at the Horizon And you went off the edge of the cliff

Interesting take. I don't think many looked at it this way.
Did we ever get a scene with Jimmy visiting John's grave?
No cuz ranch was sold
Taylor killed John because of ego. That show had the worst fucki g ending. We get it Taylor you wanted it to end because you got other projects.
Kevin was the one who left the show it had nothing to do with Taylor wtf you talking about

Wouldn’t have died if he didn’t ask for a shit ton more money. Got wrote out of the script because of money.

Kevin is as woke as they come bud. Full fledged liberal never trumper 🤷🏽♂️
Woke= what offends klans egos
Boss man is horrible actor. Stick to screen writing Mr Sheridan.
Taylor Sheridan has ruined the show
Taylor is such a bad actor
Who's Taylor
the writer and director of the show haha. Guy who plays Travis…
You're a bad judge of actors. You don't know what you're talking about.
@ ok cool
