For those who want to visit Portugal: Public transports are excellent: So, you don't need to rent any car if you have more than a week to spend travelling the country: From Lisbon to Porto you can go by train so in less than 3 hours you are there. There are also busses but train is much better. In Lisbon you have excellent systems to travel inside the city and to go to the nearby places such as Sintra, or Cascais, still using for all of it the public transport, subway, train, tram, boats: I recommend crossing the river by the Golden gate looking bridge and coming back by boat at night , spectacular views. A special transport card can be taken to be used to pay all the tryps in the city and around much easier and cheaper. To go further than the great Lisbon area then you have busses if train is not available : Coimbra is a nice city to stop also and it's right in between Lisbon and Porto. If willing to visit the Algarve which is the southern region or Portugal in that case it's better hiring a car because there are hundreds of little paradisiac places or beaches where you would like to stop for a while and later on go to another one but without the rush of having to respect transport schedules. Porto city and areas near porto are also very well served with public transports and you may love to visit Braga and Viana do Castelo, both at north of Porto and easy to get there. Hope it helps. Cheers
It's always nice to see how much people enjoy my city and country! Quick note: though the Ponte 25 de Abril does resemble the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, it was not designed by the same architect. It was designed by Ray M. Boynton.
Great video! Thanks for sharing ;-) you did indeed inspire us to visit Portugal! We plan to go in may! We were wondering whether you did this tour with public transport? Do you reckon renting a car is necessary? We enjoy relying on public transport ourselves but can the trip be done in 10 days with public transport? Merci! Christian
Olá Najla, gostei do seu video sobre Lisboa&Porto. Portugal é um ótimo destino turístico, especialmente para brasileiros. Sugiro que faça outros incluindo Algarve e Évora. Um beijo!

Ninja Agarwal Hi, I'm portuguese. She actually covered some real nice cities but there's so much more to see here. You have Algarve, Alentejo, Minho and all the interior of Portugal to discover. We're a small country with a lot to offer!
We were in Portugal for 12 days (Porto, Obidos and Lisbon) and couldn't find the wonderful bakeries we saw online. But we did eat plenty of Pasteis de Nata.

Hi. I'm going to Portugal in two weeks how do I get the free guide I've tried the link that's not working .?
I have been to many of theses places but I am going in March with my wife and I loved this video. Well done.
Could you please send me the free pocket guide to Lisbon and Porto. The link is no longer available.
This place is BORING like hell.....Nothing to do but walk around looking at old building....Big whoop.
Sheila TrueLove At least thee is lots of history, if you are. bit educated you should know, not like big cities in America all fabricated and fake.

Hi
The line at the "Pastéis de Belém" (2:04) is just for the take-away! Inside there is plenty of room to sit and eat those famous tarts.
So, in 10 days, you're only travelled to Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Porto and the Douro Valley. You left more than half of the country to see!
Thank You Najla. Nicely shot video. Useful tips and thank for sharing this. Kudos!
Thanks for a wonderful video. Did you guys travel by public transport or rented vehicle? My friends and I plan to rent a car if it is cheap
