ABOUT BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they police the NYPD's 99th Precinct. In this final season of the series, Jake and the squad must try to balance their personal lives and their professional lives over the course of a very difficult year.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio); and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.
Created by Emmy Award-winning writer/producers Dan Goor and Michael Schur, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" won the 2014 Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (Samberg). Emmy winner Braugher earned four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Capt. Holt.

I miss captain dad, I mean captain holt
same man
nevermind, i’ll miss teaching father the math! 😞😞
You mean daaa- daptain?
''daddy'' was the best!!!
As much as it sucks to say, I now hope they never attempt a reunion episode/season... Andre Braugher was the heart of the show, it would never work without him.
Amy passed out at the Fake Ray or Real Ray trivia is hilarious, cuz you know she'd absolutely win. :)
I never noticed that until I read this comment.
@@McKennaBatessame! And I’ve watched it several times. I didn’t even realise that this was on the same night 😅
was about to comment about how I missed it, even after 4 re-watches
I feel like, if she was awake during the game, she would have been able tell which phrases were real or fake immediately.
@@andrewdeluca7352Most absolutely. Hence we have a passed out 6-drink Amy on the couch. :D
"Diaz 3118 show me going"
Still makes my blood go cold. That was the first time I felt a character was in legitimate danger
Honestly, i never considered befote how scary those active shooter calls must be even for cops. The situations are nearly always chaotic and confusing and you're never quite sure what's going on.
Absolute facts. Hard af reminder for all of us that these lot are cops after all, putting their lives on the line at times like those
i was like "no way theyre gonna actually hurt rosa right? she's badass and tough" but like. i was also scared for her.
@@vic5015 part of the reason i love b99 honestly. it shows the cop's perspectives. it shows us that even though theyre responding to the situations we civilians would run from, theyre human too, and they can be just as afraid as we are.
@itsthejavavoid there's no shame in being scared. Courage is not the absence of fear, it's being terrified and pushing through it anyway because you have to. At least that's the best definition of courage I've ever heard. Fear exists to keep you from doing stupid and reckless stuff.
"Every time someone steps up and shows who they really are, the world becomes a better, more interesting place." Makes me cry every time.
i was questioning myself at the time i was watching b99, and man this episode and this scene got me GOOD.
i was watching with my mom. i had talked to her before, and i told her i thought i may be bi or something, and she didnt react BADLY but it had alot of tension. after that line, she paused the tv and gave me the same hug. thats when i knew she really did accept me even if she didnt understand.
Also just his subtle "please share" response after Terry says "do you know why I became a cop?"
Andre knew how to deliver a line. Sucks he's gone.
4:05 "I'm disappointed in you, Santiago."
Holt's tell for when he's lying is that he uses contractions.
YESSS I KNEW I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO REMEMBERS THIS
Yep, I remember that from the poker episode.
@@vic5015Probably just a mistake. He breaks that rule tons of time in the series
I never noticed that Santiago is completely knocked out during the Real or Fake Ray game!
LOL, I just noticed that, too! It's a great touch.
“six drink amy! so alone”
oh my gosh i went back to look and you're right!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me either. Thanks
the writers knew she'd get every question right so they had to do something
My uncle is a cop, he gifted me a radio for my birthday one year so I could pick up some of the calls he went in on. Taught me callsigns and everything, I remember one night coming home from work hearing about a shooting downtown, my blood ran cold when I heard his name and badge number saying “show me going”. One of the most stressful nights of my life.
Oh god. I hope he is okay…
@@mythribg3349 thank you, and don’t you worry, he’s still here at the age of 71
@@alexandermorales4322That is great! :D Power to him!
what does "show me going" mean?
@@jeanettelori1439means he was nearby and en route to respond to the shooting
"No comeback for the bald thing I see"
Burn 🤣🔥💀
Reminds me of a funny moment from Community.
"You're bald."
"So are you."
"I'LL KILL YOU!"
I always include two sarcastic remarks now just for this reason
This was almost just a video of Jake's growth again.
Still I loved when he punched the old guy to defend Holt. Jake and Holt and are so wholesome❤
Literally that was EVERYTHING to me idc
I am convinced Brogan was supposed to use the F slur, but they couldn't get it past the censors
Oh 1000%. Curse words they can get away with bleeping, but slurs would be way harder, even bleeped for a comedy show (ain't exactly Shameless). When I first watched that episode, I kinda automatically thought that was the real intention
Late to the party, but because of this, in my head I pretend that since it’s Amy retelling the story to Holt, she just…. Doesn’t want to say the word so she says that instead lol
@@iamsuchanerdydork that’s an interesting way of looking at it, makes sense too
My processing was, Jake told Amy word for word, but she censored it when she recounted it to Holt.
That’s what I always figured
“I understand the logic of this game.” The delivery kills me every time.
Jake: "You're not allowed to fall in love with me"
*Proceeds to fall head over heels for Amy instead.*
the game should've be called RAY or NAY
GDI it really should of
2:49 “I said it… AND I MEANT IT!” Underrated Holt gold
The fact that "He said, She said" Isn't here is mind-blowing.
That was my thought
Agreed
Good idea behind it but pretty poor execution. Draws a lot of parallels with Moo Moo but is way worse, doesn't have the same level of care or acting put in
Man, I'm disappointed. Was anticipating that one
What happens in that episode
"Show Me Going" was instrumental in helping me process my friend's sudden passing. When Rosa came back at the end, it finally hit me that my friend was never going to walk through the door. Excellent distillation of anxiety and the fear of loss.
i am so sorry for your loss. i really hope that you're doing okay.
@@itsthejavavoid I am. Thank you for your kind words.
I'm sorry for your loss...
Hey. Condolences.
If it helps know that they're never truly gone if they're in heart and mind.
Amy's "I knew it was wrong and did nothing, which is ultimately worse." Hits harder considering the theme of the episode.
8:21 the episode Show Me Going was the most important episode of B99 with the squad sticking together in the precinct worrying over Rosa's safety.❤
i love this scene and episode, and the ones like it, because they really hilight how the cops are human too. any civilian would be afraid of a situation like that, but we usually don't think about how the first responders are feeling. b99 shows us that human side of police that we usually don't see. even if theyre just characters.
I didn't really feel the brevity of the situation in that one. Maybe because the active shooting was only a portion and not focused on?
@@derekhandson351 its meant to show us how the others at the precinct are human too. alot of people don't really think about the fact that cops are people with families and feelings and fears too.
Man Daniels had a great run 🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Lol Iker
She was always there. Played by John Cena.......
@@aayushchandra275 🤣🤣🤣
Never realized Diaz smiled so much in the early episodes!!! its so much fun to watchhhh
´He said, she said´ isn´t on this list? A very important and well-done episode.
right? im so disappointed
Largely regarded as one of the worst episodes of the series.
its definitely a very good episode that deals with important subject matter, but I think this video is going for episodes that are important for the development of the characters
i loved the episode, but it doesn't really affect the characters as much as the episodes in here
I mean it was just a glorified PSA. For a comedy series, it was probably the least funny one and didn't really affect any characters story arc in the slightest.
"Get woke, Scully!" is such an underrated line
That pilot episode was what sold it for me. I instantly knew the show will be an all-timer
It won the emmy the first year.
Me too
I always hoped that it turned out that the cop that helped Young Terry was Holt, but then we found out he nevered worked as a beat cop.
The episode of Rosa's coming out and the 99 doing game night with her never fails to bring me to tears. It's just so beautiful and it fills my bi heart with joy as well as sadness for Rosa and her parents.
it holds a special place in my heart, because before watching it i had lightly brought up to my mom that i may be bi or pan and that i wanted to explore a bit. she didnt really seem upset, but you could tell there was alot of tension.
me and her watched that episode together. she gave me a hug the same time holt and rosa hugged, thats when i really knew that she accepted me even if she didn't completely understand me. 🩷
@@itsthejavavoid Glad to hear they accepted you as you are.
I have a somewhat strange and quite personal question, so feel free not to answer or say that you prefer not to answer and I will fully respect that, but how do you really understand such a thing? How do you know you are bi? Is there any specific moment when you just understand or is it such a long process where everything happens step by step?
I'm 13 years old, and I haven't had a first love at all, so I just want to know the method of understanding because who really knows what I am? Until I fall in love everything is possible... and beyond that, and I know it sounds strange and very personal, but I just want to know. The head of has no explanation, but this feeling of asking is simply stronger than me. In the end, the worst that can happen is that you never talk to me again in your life...
Yeah it was crazy to see Rosa so open about talking about herself.
Jake's awkward face as Rosa draws two brides at the family game night is hilarious
B99 is a comedy sitcom show but dealt with serious subjects extremely maturely and it shows as those episodes are some of the best. The moo-moo episode is my favourite for this reason and Rosa’s coming out storyline hits hard for me being bi myself and struggling to come out, Holt’s words to Rosa at the end of this episode is all the affirmation I need
If Holt had called Amy instead of Jake during that stakeout, it's possible they never would have become the Jake and Amy we know. How wild is that.
thats... actually insanely wild. amy would've immediately taken holt's offer.
2:36 never noticed it until now, but Boyle and Diaz high fiving a real feel good moment
he said she said should've been on this list, one of the most important episodes in the entire show
That whole episode was just a PSA. They should've played "the more you know" after it ended it was so blatant. Didn't really affect any characters story either.
They shouldve
I feel like the only reason people don't like it is the feminism underline
@@TaaUnofficial You would be wrong then. Aside from the fact it's just a glorified PSA, it's probably the least funny episode of season 6. Also, you could delete the entire episode and it wouldn't affect any of the characters in any significant way.
@@Lokhir100 and we need PSAs. theyre important.
I can’t watch any b99 after captain holt aka Andre is gone 😭 😭
Sameee
this :(
the top three pfps gathered here today to mourn Andre 😞
I’ve been rewatching it since it hit Netflix in his memory
I think that would make Andre want you to watch it even more knowing that it would make you laugh and think about life
Some great honorable mentions, end of season 2 when captain holt takes the sacrifice of being transferred to PA just to save his team, and S3 e4 when that very sacrifice was repaid to him by jake and hes back on the 99
Jake was curious to see what happens...
* Fast forward to asking Amy out *
* Fast forward to the cumberbund proposal*
* Fast forward to the precinct wedding*
Manly tears were shed
10:09.
Jake giving an entire box to Hitchcock and Scully 🥲
he knew they were gonna need it 😂😂😂
The scene with Sterling Knight & then with Moo-Moo and Serg are powerful stuff to witness 🤝🏾
8:20 Show Me Going is one of my absolute favorites of the series, it really shows us the way that the cops who respond to these situations are real people too. theyre real humans who experience fear and sorrow, and they have people who care about them just like we do.
I’d like to add that it humanizes all cops as well as shedding light on the problem of dirty cops. It doesn’t address it directly, but cops are often sacrificing themselves to protect us. But the reputation is being tarnished because of very real and very violent cops. I’ve been friends with many cops and have also experienced experiences with bad cops, it honestly sucks: the good cops can’t do their jobs properly because bad cops aren’t being kept in line. People feel less safe and crime runs rampant. Whose fault is it? The people controlling the police are only out for money.
I voted for Moo Moo!
Genuinely brings a tear to my eyes, rest easy Andre
It makes it more wholesome when jake said ive been plannning this the entire time in prison in actuality is to propose to amy
Also Jake doesn't get enough credit for having close friendships with women
That's a green flag
I feel like even as a child young Raymond didn't need a bubble bath.
0:14 😮dope
0:17 aweee yeah
0:28 yeah that’s sick

18:50 the proposal episode
"Sure you do pineapples" 😂
Amy looks amazing in episode 1 ughhh
Dude is nobody going to speak on the fact that the heist got progressively more and more INSANE AND AGGRESSIVE AND THEY GOT MEANER
26:45 NO JAKE DOSENT LIVE
the surprise engagement really truly gets to me ✨😭❤️
Brooklyn 99's fan base is the most wholesame fans i've ever seen in my life and i love it ❤
Rosa played a big part in coming to terms with my own sexuality
It's her real life. Except for the voice.
21:09 the way this still makes my heart race in anticipation and excitement 🥰🥰🥰🥰
An episode that should really be here is s5 ep3 when Jake is coming back to the 99 and when working a case he arresting someone, he then let the suspect go because he was haunted by the fact that the guy might have been innocent, because going on jail and being falsely accused had made him more mature
This 👏👏
love the kids bro
RIP Captain Dad😢🙌🏻🗿👑
I actually depressed now because I can only get the first 4 seasons of this show on Netflix then have to buy the rest😢😢😢
It’s worth it the rest of the seasons are so good
Not 24 dollars each worth
it’s on peacock for about 7$ subscription
@@venus8257 there’s websites that do it for free
Daniels should have had a cameo in the finale.
The Box is one of my top three favorite episodes. 😊
The episode that I think should’ve been in here was the one where Diaz left and holt got a divorce
I always love me some PB&J!😊❤❤❤
Also, I always feel bad for the trouble Rosa had coming out to her parents, but I’m glad the 99 is there as her other family.❤❤❤
What is PB and J? like the names of the charecters?

The box was a really really great episode
Where do you make all these fans vote anyway?
the channel’s community posts, lol
@@xshimaeraxx_ lol, oh those countless discussions on other videos about people's 10 favourite episodes that just came out of nowhere for no reason?
As someone else said, there was a question a while back on B99’s UA-cam community.
@@norge0209 Oh okay, cool. Thanks for the info
That pilot was the best pilot I had seen for a sitcom. It made me instantly interested in this show❤
Did we ever see Daniels ever again?
I could be wrong but I think the actress gets recast as mean Marge
BRILLIANT!
THE BET IS HONESTLY MY FAVOURITE EPISODE
25:46 to make Amy surprised shows the improvement of Jake
Love all of these obviously but I'm surprised the Season 2 finale wasn't on here, the first kiss(es) of Jake and Amy.
RIP Andre. You will be missed
27:58 that got dark
13:36 Some fans say this is the moment Amy lowkey fall in love with Jake and you know what? I think so to😊
Oh that Daniels, she's like a female Hitchcock and scully.... It's actually been a while since I watched it... was she in any more episodes?
No, pilot episode only
Best show in the history of the world!
I know "Moo Moo" is serious but 27:50 is funny.
the dog calling me 😭
rip, we will miss you forever raymond holt🙏
2:53 AND HE MEANT IT
Hollween is my best episode ever ❤❤❤
I struggle to watch this show since… 😢
19:50
“yeah, love that we feel comortable joking about that…”
“I’m not joking” 😂😂 rosa come on
These really do be the 10 most important
Beach house episode is definitely the moment holt started to losen up around the squad 🎉❤️❤️
13:47 wait what happened to Daniels 😳
31:22 I can’t with their bet. The fact Jake had a cheap ring, was hysterical. Amy’s face at 31:44 💀🤣 She was not having it, but a bet is a bet; Jake arrested more perps than her
its crazy to think that when he got down on his knees, with that cheap 1$ ring, he had no idea that someday he'd do it again for amy, for real.
8:16 SLURP SLURP PERALTA
Man, I miss Andre more now (
Surprised this list went without Wuntch.
Missed opportunity to call it "Ray or Nay".
Disagree on Game Night and Moo Moo, everything else, perfectly fair picks.
These better not be in order because the Terry & Rosa eps are landmark viewing
oh captain, my captain 💔🩷💖 😢
In my opinion, "The Box" is the best non heist episode of b99
I think might be confusing important with best idk
He Said, She Said not being here is absolutely criminal
Could Season 05 really be the best one???
