Doesn't matter. She's not been preparing for the last 40 years because she's traumatized and she's deluded believing that Michael will come back for her. She *knows* that Michael will never stop until he kills her. That's the only thing that keeps him alive. So therapy will cure you from mental problems, but it will not make your actual problems go away. Laurie's been waiting for 40 years to kill Michael even though he was locked away and outside of Haddonfield, but now that he's returned and killed her daughter, instead of giving Laurie more reason to go after Michael, she decides to put all this behind her and move on.
That’s what therapy is for… and it’s been 4 years, I’m sure she grieving real hard after Karen died, she wouldn’t be crying for 4 years straight yeah she still thinks about her and still misses her… I can’t believe how many people misunderstood this movie 😂
They did Micheal dirty! He was brutal in Halloween kills that got me more excited, but him living in a sewer during that time and making him more vulnerable, and biggest let down is he's barely in the movie. I've never been more disappointed coming out of the theatre.

I think this could have very well been a necessary gateway film for more films to come in the future. Showing that the evil can live on through other people. I think this is a film that people aren't going to understand or like too much right now but I think in the future when more films are made it'll then be understood and appreciated.

this finale one is the ultimate beyond others it's one that I'm sure will be talked about for so many years . you can see how she is willing to do what any person feels the need to in helping others find peace from the horror that she had gone through for years .
Don’t understand why Laurie is living in a fortress while Michael was locked up for 40 years, then when he’s out, he then kills her daughter in H:Kills and so starting the the final movie, she’s casually living life in an ordinary haddonfield home while Michaels MIA😂 Quite reversed and unfortunate

DGG and the rest of the writers don't get what Michael is sadly...I read a new studio has the rights thank God for that. I agree. And thank god that Miramax has the rights to the franchise again. They know how Michael Myers works. And they made H4 (H5 and H6 PC maybe too, I'm not entirely sure), which is by far one of the best movies in the entire franchise. And I've heard they want to do another sequel to H4 (hopefully they will still use the COT-backstory for Michael and bring Danielle Harros back as Jamie please, we want more uncle-niece moments).

Halloween Ends should've been another movie on the same night that concluded the series. Nothing about this movie works beyond the fact it's a teen drama rather than the slasher we wanted. Michael Myers is only in this movie for less than 10 minutes.

I liked it…not had BAD as most people make it out to be but it’s a good enough sendoff for this new trilogy and it does have a very different vibe from the last one (l thought at one point I heard that they were actually supposed to follow each other one after the next or so)each one has a very different feel that alone does away with repetitiveness and makes each one unique

Me too. And I am glad that I had an open mind whereas with my own personal expectations. Yes there are things I really wanted to see in it and they weren’t but then there were somethings in the movie that I would have never thought about that were added that I absolutely enjoyed and that were interesting to say the least but this was not such a bad movie like everyone is ranting about. It was definitely different from the other 2 “DGG films” in this trilogy. But I still have to say that it wasn’t that brutal to watch!! I've got a roller coaster analogy for ya. This film was absolutely off the rails in regards to (1) the ongoing story and character development up to that point,(2) the basic "cause and effect" flow of logic--yes, even in a series of films about an unstoppable escaped mental patient--and (3) comprehensible filmmaking that clearly communicates necessary information to the audience. Even if that clarification came in the form of clumsy and unnatural sounding expositional dialogue between two characters,it would still be SOMETHING. Cuz this was a jumbled and confusing mess. It feels like two separate films cut into little pieces and then Frankensteined together, resulting in THIS absolute abomination. 😵💫

It was definitely intentional. DGG was harping on and on about making it his take on Christine. Only element from Christine that makes a lick of sense for Michael is if we see him start to twitch after getting shredded. Since that damn car resurrects itself anyways.

I give the actors props for doing a good, convincing job like they always do! I don’t however, commend the screenwriters for this story. It’s not a memorable one for me personally. I almost feel like I can watch Halloween Kills in my head off memory alone. Ends? I remember the end where Michael got chopped up. I barely remember what happened. A few kills were memorable to me, but other than that I don’t have much to say!
I walked into the theaters with my mom all excited, but during half of the movie both of us just wanted it to end already. We left the theaters in utter disappointment after the film ended

Ive watched in the two days before i went halloween 1978, halloween 2018 and halloween kills sp i had the timeline fresh in my mind and my exspectations set to how they had 2018 and kills make an set up of what was kinda going to happen in ends, those two really build up to the point that laurie and michael are going to have 1 last big showdown together and fight to the end. It rven looked like sheriff Hawkins would get in on the fight and redeem himself for preventing loomis from schooting Michael. But ends is going in such an different direction that it quite literly breaks itself apart form the other 2 movies that they dont fit together as a triology anymore. Ends could be good as an loose standing movie wich wouldve feeded in more into the theorys about Michael. For me the other thing that threw me off was that cab see really clearly that the have rewritten the script and storyline. For me personally was it an quite disappointing movie.
I LOVED Halloween Ends. Michael was obviously not in physical shape anymore to continue his job, so along comes the town reject to help out. At the end, it was just his time to go. I loved it. Jamie Lee as usual was perfect.❤
I guess I'll take one for the team and admit that I liked Ends a lot. Possibly in my top 3 of the whole franchise. I enjoyed seeing Michael Myers reduced to a sewer animal after all the suffering he had caused. Seeing Corey's descent into madness was one of the most compelling non-Myers/Strode related plot points in the franchise imo. And the final battle is by far the most satisfying of any slasher film I've ever seen. No chance of him coming back after that!

Which I think is a fine idea, but use THIS more for that? It's completely baffling. This is supposed to conclude a trilogy and it doesn't seem to realize that until the last 15 minutes.
And yet it’s got more Michael than Halloween III, which is one of the only Halloween sequels that’s actually kinda decent.

Don’t understand why Laurie is living in a fortress while Michael was locked up for 40 years, then when he’s out, he then kills her daughter in H:Kills and so starting the the final movie, she’s casually living life in an ordinary haddonfield home while Michaels MIA😂 Quite reversed and unfortunate

As a big Halloween fan this was a huge disappointment from how Michael was treated to him being "human". DGG and the rest of the writers don't get what Michael is sadly...I read a new studio has the rights thank God for that. Michael needs to come back stronger and more immortal evil and supernatural again.
I agree. And thank god that Miramax has the rights to the franchise again. They know how Michael Myers works. And they made H4 (H5 and H6 PC maybe too, I'm not entirely sure), which is by far one of the best movies in the entire franchise.
And I've heard they want to do another sequel to H4 (hopefully they will still use the COT-backstory for Michael and bring Danielle Harros back as Jamie please, we want more uncle-niece moments).

There aren’t many movies I rank in the “Insultingly Bad” category. But this one definitely went there. Right alongside The Last Jedi.
Halloween Ends should've been another movie on the same night that concluded the series. Nothing about this movie works beyond the fact it's a teen drama rather than the slasher we wanted. Michael Myers is only in this movie for less than 10 minutes.

I liked it…not had BAD as most people make it out to be but it’s a good enough sendoff for this new trilogy and it does have a very different vibe from the last one (l thought at one point I heard that they were actually supposed to follow each other one after the next or so)each one has a very different feel that alone does away with repetitiveness and makes each one unique

I still can't believe Jamie Lee Curtis signed off on Halloween ends as a masterpiece. She's so full of it. The ending was atrocious and their so-called final epic battle was hardly anything at all.
All of the mixed reactions from the screening is making me even more hyped to see it. It sounds like they did something different and I think I’ll like it I’m going into this movie with an open mind instead of expectations.

Me too. And I am glad that I had an open mind whereas with my own personal expectations. Yes there are things I really wanted to see in it and they weren’t but then there were somethings in the movie that I would have never thought about that were added that I absolutely enjoyed and that were interesting to say the least but this was not such a bad movie like everyone is ranting about. It was definitely different from the other 2 “DGG films” in this trilogy. But I still have to say that it wasn’t that brutal to watch!! Besides each one of these films are way different just like he Said that they would be. So I am not knocking the movie too hard. I am going to have to rewatch it again many times on peacock to get a new found appreciation for the movie. I have great appreciation for this movie. DGG did a great job 👏🏻 on this trilogy. @ScorpioSAGA cause it's OLD... horror movies are good because they're stories and memories that you remember years later. But when they keep pumping them out again after another it gets old. It's like eating the same ice cream afraid to put some whipped cream or toppings on it.

For some weird reason, Halloween Ends reminds me of Matrix Resurrection-- both were very unsatisfying, overly-artistic messes. I think Jamie Lee Curtis's ego got in the way. And it ruins Michael Myers as a character

I've got a roller coaster analogy for ya. This film was absolutely off the rails in regards to (1) the ongoing story and character development up to that point,(2) the basic "cause and effect" flow of logic--yes, even in a series of films about an unstoppable escaped mental patient--and (3) comprehensible filmmaking that clearly communicates necessary information to the audience. Even if that clarification came in the form of clumsy and unnatural sounding expositional dialogue between two characters,it would still be SOMETHING. Cuz this was a jumbled and confusing mess. It feels like two separate films cut into little pieces and then Frankensteined together, resulting in THIS absolute abomination. 😵💫

Corey Cunningham? A kid who bears a noticable resemblance to actor Tony Moran, who played the face of Michael Myers in the original Halloween? And his last name is Cunningham, similar to Arnie Cunningham from Christine?
It was definitely intentional. DGG was harping on and on about making it his take on Christine. Only element from Christine that makes a lick of sense for Michael is if we see him start to twitch after getting shredded. Since that damn car resurrects itself anyways.

Plus this " evil transfer" only makes sense if there's a blood connection (at least to me.) It's the only way Michael's been able to infect people and corrupt them before.

Ive watched in the two days before i went halloween 1978, halloween 2018 and halloween kills sp i had the timeline fresh in my mind and my exspectations set to how they had 2018 and kills make an set up of what was kinda going to happen in ends, those two really build up to the point that laurie and michael are going to have 1 last big showdown together and fight to the end.
It rven looked like sheriff Hawkins would get in on the fight and redeem himself for preventing loomis from schooting Michael.
But ends is going in such an different direction that it quite literly breaks itself apart form the other 2 movies that they dont fit together as a triology anymore.
Ends could be good as an loose standing movie wich wouldve feeded in more into the theorys about Michael.
For me the other thing that threw me off was that cab see really clearly that the have rewritten the script and storyline.
For me personally was it an quite disappointing movie.
I LOVED Halloween Ends. Michael was obviously not in physical shape anymore to continue his job, so along comes the town reject to help out. At the end, it was just his time to go. I loved it. Jamie Lee as usual was perfect.❤

I guess I'll take one for the team and admit that I liked Ends a lot. Possibly in my top 3 of the whole franchise. I enjoyed seeing Michael Myers reduced to a sewer animal after all the suffering he had caused. Seeing Corey's descent into madness was one of the most compelling non-Myers/Strode related plot points in the franchise imo. And the final battle is by far the most satisfying of any slasher film I've ever seen. No chance of him coming back after that!
