In one of his many interviews, an interviewer asked Kuklinski if he considered himself an assassin. He answered: "An assassin, that sounds so exotic. Nah, I was just a murderer." I hope that put that line in the movie.
I can easily see why this guy was known as the iceman. I watched a little bit of a UA-cam interview of him. Totally remorseless. Just the little bit of the video scared the heck outta me. There’s been some really vicious killers over the years but this dude was creepy!!!!!
That's not where the nickname came from, it's cause he kept many of his victims in a freezer then he'd dump the bodies long after he killed em so it looked like they'd been killed recently, but one day they found a body before it head thawed all the way through and the strategy was revealed the Iceman killer nickname was born
He used to get the shit beaten out of him by his father, his mother was quite abusive too. That's got to have an impact, coupled with being bullied until he decided to take a stand. The first man he killed was by mistake and he felt bad, but later after consolidating himself over it for a while, he no longer felt bad. I Guess that's when he knew he was more than capable for the job. Generally speaking, if a seed is nutured, what sprouts from it is beautiful. But there's always contrast in life, there's those that had the greatest nurturing and love, but turned into psychopathic killers. Anyone is and is not immune to succumbing to violence and murder; its just a matter of circumstances and how we decide to deal with people. Make no mistake about it.
Probably shouldn’t admire serial killers, but if any Kuklinski was in my opinion the most admirable of them all. Admirable may not be the correct term haha, more interesting.
You do realize his claims of being a contract killer and Mafia Hitman have been debunked for years? He murdered and was convicted of five kills, all were associates of his he did it to rip them off. He was so bad at murder that all five victims had a friend or family member who knew he was the last person to see them alive. He tried to poison one with cyanide and couldn't even do it correctly and had to finish him off by strangulation. He rented a hotel room and disposed of one body underneath the bed. He got his nickname because he froze the body to disguise the time of death and like the idiot he is he didn't fully thaw itout before dumping it. He even bragged about it to an undercover cop in a bar. He wasn't lying when he said he was abusive to his wife. He gave both his first and second wife regular beatings in front of the kids, breaking noses, jaws, ribs, etc. His daughter Merrick tells a story that when she was 7 years old he explained to her he was eventually going to kill her mother and when he did that he would have to kill the rest of the family. But since she was his favorite he would kill her first and quickly. Do you still admire him now?
10 years old Michael Shannon is terrific as a man with no remorse The deadliest contract killer who murdered over 100 people from 1964-1986 and was imprisoned with his brother A cold SOB in a mobsters rise to power eventually falling down He has rage issues despite having a wife and kids It's a lackluster script and there's no emotional resonance or character development but gritty enough to fit the narrative Violent, bloody, and fills a sorta revenge fantasy Shannon sells it playing someone of frightening intensity in a dark, sobering way
You forgot to point out the movie was based on the fantasies of a wife beating, child abusing, pathological liar, who was never a hitman and he never worked for the mafia. 😂
It is a good movie but most of what he said in real life was total BS. He embellished of what he claims he did. I've watched most of his interviews and I've watched most of the detective interviews and the detectives said most of what he claimed was total BS. They said for one he was to stupid to pull off a lot of things he claimed.
In the movie he must kill a poor homeless guy to test to see if he would kill. In real life Kuklinski brutally killed the homeless because he found it fun. The real iceman was worse in real life. Great movie although.
Macaroniers They play some shitty movies about the Italian mafia, and here the Pole kills everything that moves. Polish work. I am already writing a script about other Polish pistols, for example Earl Hymie Weiss

95% of his claims have been debunked years ago. He killed 5 people, 3 to rip off and 2 to silence and none were mafia related.
Mueller? Is that you?
Amazing thriller can't wait to see this!
Quién vino por el docu de HBO ?
