I one hundred percent agree about the calorie menus! As someone recovering, I'd so much prefer having the choice of having a menu without the numbers down the side...
i agree!!! even though i have definitely recovered, i'd still prefer the choice because it can sway your choices even without you realising!

Thank you for this video Holly, this is something I’ve struggled with for a while. There always seems to be something to hold me back eg pool parties and such. My goal now is to get my period back. When I look back at how far I’ve come in the last year I’m proud but I’m aware I still have some way to go particularly concerning sport and how I view it as a way to be able to eat more or justify what I’m eating.
I just want to let you know I’m so proud of you for making it this far❤ Only you know how difficult it’s been for you to get here and I’m so proud of you for not giving up❤
This is amazing advice, Holly! I wish I had seen a video like this when I was struggling with my relationship with food. It was a long journey but I have also reached a point of food freedom - what I would say to anyone struggling right now, just know that it IS possible to get better even though it might seem hopeless. And if you have a ”relapse” of sorts at some point, don’t be discouraged. Good luck to anyone battling with this💘
I agree with you soooooo much cuz I've also been through some tough time with food...... Knowing it takes time to change and don't blame yourself if you make mistakes. It's not your fault. And remember even a small process is great!!!🥰 And Holly I'm so glad that you have such a good relationshop with food now. Reminder that eating food for enjoyment is just as (if not more) important as ‘fuelling’ your body, for optimal mental and physical health 🙏🏼
You can only show up fully for others if you take care of yourself properly first ❤ More calories = more ENERGY to reach your potential and ultimately to LIVE your life to the fullest x

I have been on a journey related to health and body weight for the past 2 years and honestly nothing has been more difficult and triggering for me than comments of other people, whether it has been compliments for "how good I look" or how "they can finally see me" or judging the amount of food or the things I eat... it is honestly insane how fast people say such things without even thinking about how it can affect others.
I had the same problem when recovering, sorry you have to go through it:/ what I finally started doing was that I just promptly said: ”it’s not okay to comment on people’s bodies / food intake” or ”I don’t feel comfortable when you say that”. I still do this if necessary. Needs a bit of work to just say it but it becomes easier in time💓

What would you recommend about dealing with triggers when it's family members saying things but they're also (mainly) the cause of such problems in the first place??
my advice would be to definitely have conversations with them, like big conversations because it's not something that is often easy for others to understand! and these conversations will be tough i won't lie, but you'll definitely feel a lot better afterwards ✨
Do you find a difference between porridge made with oats soaked overnight versus just dried oats out of the canister?
Do Barley and Java enjoy frolicking in the snow? I thought of the goof balls immediately when you showed the snow scene.

Somehow I'm still afraid that my body will betray me if I listen to it. If I don't keep it under control. I know it doesn't make sense at all. That's just the reason why I always body check and subtly pay eccessive attention to hunger signals and what and when I eat. I want to break free from all this

None of your meals look like 'food freedom'. Sometimes food freedom is eating crap or eating what you want. Everything looks too healthy. Do you never just eat crisps or something
i do actually 😅 and as i said in the video, i am often hesitant to talk about things being 'healthy' and stuff, because many people just assume that i don't eat anything else . . . but you only see a tiny fraction of what i actually eat!
You know, I changed my life with food too! I gained 15 kilograms! And now, I have no idea how to lose it! lol Nothing works!
