  • Hellooo everyone! We're back with an experimental video- we shot a couple 35mm rolls through the Mamiya RB67, a medium format camera. Sprocket hole photography is pretty cool! We think it turned out great, we hope you think so too!!

    An innovative solution for loading 35mm film in a 6x7 Camera. Very well made. Inspiring photos too.

    Hey that's a great idea using dummy film for a leader! I am so wasteful when I make my 35 sprocket pano youtube shorts with my Yashica TLR that I am probably responsible for at least 7 percent of global sales of Kodak Eastman XX Black & White 35mm Motion Picture Film! lol I think your first slapper pic was the first bridge shot. Then the man running from waves on was dope too I mean the rest were too, but I can't write a tome for a comment. I'll get that for you Ducky! Thanks for sharing y'all! Hey we got a hollow cross statue atop our town too! Twinsies

    Love this idea good work. Must try it in my rb67. Tell me please does the film develop with the sprocket holes visible in the final negative?? ,I am setting up with a dedicated film scanner and I think the sprockets holes would be great in the final image.but then I’m weird,
    Also do you have the dimensions for the spool adapter,and length of extra leader required.
    Thank you ,John NSW Australia.

    Thanks for sharing! How many exposures you ended up getting from your 24exp 35mm roll? Cheers!

    These pics look great - question - how did you figure out how much to wind? because it would have to vary as the take up spool got more full or the shots would space out more and more. just curious. how many shots did you get out of a 24 shot roll? I'm going to try this with my bessa 6x9

      Thanks! What we did was we took notice of how many winds the RB67 took to get to shot # 1 when loading a roll. Then we measured the length of that amount of 6x7 negatives, I think in this case it was the two 6x7 "negatives" worth + the space between shots. So then we took that length measurement and made a lead of that length to tape onto our 35mm roll so that the shooting started at the start of the 35mm, and we didn't lose any shots. We got 12 shots out of the 24 roll! I hope that at least somewhat answers your question. Curious about how many shots you'd get using a 6x9!

    What app are you using in the video? Is it for light metering?

    How did you know you were done with the roll?

      The camera stopped wanting to shoot after the last shot was taken, just like it does normally when we have 120 film in there. But we had to wind the film manually in a dark bag since it wouldn't wind back into the canister as 120 film winds back on its own. But yeah, the camera shot til the end and then stopped allowing the shutter to be pressed as usual after the last shot.

    How long is your leader

    • @sjanalogclub3332
      @sjanalogclub3332  2 роки тому +1

      I believe it was about 6 inches, basically it was the length of two 6x7 negatives (to compensate for the winding upon loading the film)
