    Awesome mate, registered an reddit-account only for the sprocket shots sub. Love that there is an active community around this technique, which I love so much!

    Any tips on how to frame? Since you’re not able to see exactly what the composition is

    I think the brown around the sprocket holes is extra emulsion that didn't fully dissolve during development.

    My Mamiya RZ67 back doesn't "read" the film and keep winding until the end of the roll..any suggestions?

    • @Owlbot
      @Owlbot  2 роки тому +1

      Hmm... I haven't run in to that issue on my Pro II, I've heard of that on cameras that use a roller on the paper and when that's gone it can't read the frame count but I'm pretty sure the RZ's use the canister. Maybe ask /r/SprocketShots if you're on Reddit!

      @@Owlbot Thanks for the suggestion. I used both systems, merging more 35mm film (or just a single roll) or using the 120mm paper. I even checked with a different back but nothing changed.

      @@Owlbot I found a solution, unusual but it works. I'll leave it here just in case someone has the same issue. Essentially the camera advances the film regularly so that's not a problem. So, after advancing it I move the little lever for the mirror on M position, I press the lever all the way down and then I shoot.

    you've to turn the hasselblad sideways in order to take landscape format shots, right?

    • @Owlbot
      @Owlbot  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah I think so, if the rollers are horizontal in the film back (with the film being vertical)

    Uploaded to r/SprocketShots too late :( I hit number #3 post all time about a month ago. Love shooting the 'entire' roll of 35mm, keep up the sprocket shooting!

      I think I'll do another roundup once people are able to get back out and shooting, pandemy times have slowed everyone down a bit it seems

    Will these adapters work inside a Pentax 645 as well?

      Any 120 camera should work!

      @mrN3w7 6 місяців тому

      @@Owlbot The Pentax 640 has auto wind - so it pulls the film at the end. How would that work with the 35? Would it rip it or would it lock the camera?

    • @Owlbot
      @Owlbot  6 місяців тому +1

      @@mrN3w7 oh yeah that would probably do one or the other. I'm not sure it depends on how strong that motor is I suppose

      Film is suuuuuuuper expensive and hard to come by in many places so I think it just slowed down a bit. People still post there though!

    The flashing of the holes is cuse of the backing paper is gone so its "light leaks" realy.

    Hot dang These are fire sprocket shots! I wish I had known about the sprocket reddit, but... I don't think my stuff would compare. Love the this tinkering side of film photography. Subbed! I've done one test doing 4x5 sprockets. Planning to keep trying and get better at it before sharing any of that. I just posted a video of me doing sprockets in a TLR. At least this time I did vertical shots, but I have done the landscape sprockets with it, which is really a pain to do. Check out my sprocket hole youtube short playlist if you get a chance.
