Hmmm,,,if I remember correctly the cox glow head had a concave recess. Does the glow plug end on the converted one sit flush with this dome? Seems like that would affect compression.

My friend has tryied that but he has said that engine runs better with original glow plug...hmm but you never now what is better...

Yes so far that looks true. But the good thing with the adapter head is you can try multiple different heat range plugs. I'll be trying several others. I just need another test engine. I don't want to wear my Golden Bee out before It gets into the Q-Tee.

Isn't OS10 plug too cold for this engine?

Where can I buy the spark plug already modified? There are people who make and sell them but it is uncertain and without price control. What are the spark plugs I can adapt to the. 049cox?

Spark plug? Why would you want to put a spark plug in a Cox glow engine? Spark plugs require ignition systems to operate.

Ya, that plug was too cold for it!

What happens with hot OS #6 and 5% nitro fuel?

You mean a #8? I have never heard of a #6 nor do I have any. I'll try a #8 in future videos.

The OS #6 (formally A3) glow plug is in the box of the OS 15 LA and other small engines. I used the #6 here: ua-cam.com/video/Tp84ivkkcaw/v-deo.html
Perhaps it brings higher rpm with low nitro fuel like the Omega 5%.

I'll have to check all my engines as well as my stock. I'm pretty sure I have never had a #6, but who knows? I know the #8 got the engine really hot the other day when I ran it with that one. Ah A3. Yes the #6 changed to the A3 a while back. Pretty sure I have an A3.

But you used 25% Nitro fuel with the #8. With 5% Nitro and 26% Oil the engine should run cooler.

Found an A3. First plug I pulled out of my bin.

Those aftermarket glow adapters for glow plugs are known to not produce big performance. You should look into an integrated aftermarket glow head those will produce more power than the stock low-head. Check out the link below. It's what I use in my engines and they produce about 500 more RPM on Reed valve Motors and more than that on shaft inducted motors..

I'm not looking for more RPM. I am simply doing a valid comparison between the different plugs, heads, etc. This is part of why I do what I do, to compare things.

I understand. While I like these engines, I have never seen an engine that had so much of a power change just on the plug type. In your test, I am not sure if it was the heat range that caused the difference in rpm or the fact that the head shape is unoptimized compared to integrated plug unit.
