- Shredders is the BEST snowboard game to ever exist! It has been a crazy long time since I last played Shredders and I honestly couldn't tell you why. Shredders is one of those games that whenever I play it, I always ask myself why I don't play it more. It really is the Skater XL or Session of snowboard games. It feels amazing to play, the controls feel great, and it looks awesome too. The only thing that is lacking is my skill level... Anyway, let me know if you want more Shredders content and I'll work on sucking less at the game.

I’ve never been snowboarding but bc of all my video game experiences I literally believe I’d turn into Shaun White the second I go
😂😂😂
Then we do our first rainbow rail ride on 50-50 then hit them shins... you wake up QUICK! Lol!!
Once you get innit it does feel better than the games though.
It’s flexing a lot of muscles you didn’t honestly believed you’d use, cause it looks easy going until you’re up on the mountain trying to slow down, or maintain a slow speed for an extended period of time. Let alone biffing it if you try anything fancy. Tons of fun tho. Very exhilarating and freeing.
facts, the carving and flip/spin control is so satisfying
that's 100% what makes the game, first game since Nintendo 1080° that feels so good
Hey man! Snowboarder here. For the backflips, they're almost exactly the same for difficulty but both pretty easy. You just have to commit. It's all about what you prefer. I find them both to be good and once you're good at em you can lay em out. Then next up is corks.
For the alley oop 270 you called, it's called a pretzel 270 out. There's also hard way 270 on where you go FS/bs on to the rail and then spin the same way. So going fs on to the rail then spinning fs 270 is a hard way.
Snowboarding is fun AF man. Hope you're enjoying it!
Got this game a few days ago it's really fun! It's not a hard as Session with manual catch and sync flip scoops off but still is challenging and thrilling.
I imagine the first backflip is easier because of momentum. But if you're used to doing flat ground backflips the second one might be the first one to try
Damn, I thought u died, this is cool to see someone I watched 12 years or more ago.
@@boltingcolthe got exposed for being a pedo
ive just gotten back into all these different skateboard gaming youtubers and i just binged a ton of ur vids, love ur content bro!!
Haha thank you!!
11:15 you have to hold both sticks up and then flick them both down really fast as you pop(flick slightly earlier with the right stick). if you want to spin faster you prewind the opposite way of the spin you want to do and flick the right stick only.
and yes you unlock the maps by playing story mode
Keep shredding, love the gaming content being back!
Appreciate it!
Opposite of the tame dog - wild cat - is generally harder than the standard hucked backflip if you're fairly competent at backflipping on solid ground. Wildcat requires a lot more finesse to pop off tail without sliding out or overshooting
ahhh ok makes sense. It looks so sick though 😂
I learned the wildcat last year after snowboarding for 20 years and learning standing backflips earlier in the year. I’ve only done the wildcat version of the flip but it seems a lot easier to me if you find the right jump for it, I’ve just been doing them on lippy step up side hit jumps that go pretty steep on take off which initiates the rotation really easily. I feel like the hucky laid out ones that look more like regular backflips look way sicker though
@@GarrettGinnerGaming Just gotta send it into some powder or snow piles. I learned both while being towed in my driveway by a snowmobile. Plowed piles of snow make perfect jumps and landings. 💪🏽 you got it.
Okay so the last park you found is called Maple Arcs or something. Just got added to the game. If you do the story you unlock it🤝🏻
Thank you!! Makes sense
the second type of backflip is easier to get comfortable then the other way becomes the eisier and more natural way
6:10 I remember those being tough last year... took me literally 6 months to get consistent. I still play daily to this day. Love this game. So dope how many of the same games we play. Ive been playing dirt 2.0 longer than the skating games and such but actuon sports is my true love.
Oh no way that’s sick!
When I was younger, I used to snowboard every weekend and on big snow days. But as you get older, life takes up more of your free time. Now, I only get out a few times a year. The winters in the Midwest seem to be very short now due to the warm weather. I watched one of your videos about a week ago and picked up the game Shredders a few days ago. It took a few hours to get used to the game and figure out the rotation, especially compared to steep and Riders Republic which are very fast-paced. My question is, what are the recommended gravity to height pop ratio settings? That seems to make a world of difference in gameplay. The game is amazing once you start to get the hang of it. By the way, Shredders 540 INDY edition for PS5 is on sale until January 18th for only $20. Highly recommend it! 👍
$20 it’s on game pass for free lmao
Idk about the back flips but I know front flips for the second option are normal front flips but for the first option where you would go straight forward it’s called a tamedog
they also have a built in jump height an gravity slider in settings without mods
for the steazy back on do a back one like you do usuly and just twist your feet to make it seam like your not turning(body is still turning)
yoo Garrett both backflips are kinda easy to to but the straight back one (Wildcat) is a little bit easyer to land . Ih think you can to it 100% . Just look for a jump in the powder or build one it makes it a lot easyer to commit :)
when you to it once you have it in your book and it gets super chill
Snowboarding is soo fun I miss it I am going to try and go again when my eye heals .I love rideing fast and carving I wish I wasn’t blind like I am I miss being able to go off jumps and doing grinds like it sucks I can’t fall like I used to
Shredders is the shit bro! Best snowboarding game and it isn’t even close. Stomping clean tricks is so satisfying, and then doing them in a line is 💦 😂
Also, quick tip that I just recently found out about because I don’t pay attention to tutorials. Holding LT when you want to land makes it easier to stomp tricks.
All board sports cross over so easy and no one can tell me otherwise, snowboarding surfing and skating have so many key similarities pros can do well in any if they tried
I love when you shredders
Same ♥️
I thought the 2nd style of back flip was a barrel roll?
l tryed it and now l bought a ps2 to play ssx again…definetly l should try harder…or not
"best snowboarding game"
also :
"why is everything locked"
"im getting these weird frame drops"
Background#2 is a huck. It's more respected I think because skiers flip the other way. I don't know which is easier. I don't do park I'm too old for that shit it hurts. I stay in the trees and pow generally
How would you rate STEEP?
gravity and jump height are now in vanilla game menu btw
wait waaaaa
@@sheklmek3274 yeah came with the maple acres update
Yooo what??? How did I miss that??
@@GarrettGinnerGaming yeah check it out. Makes the game so much better.
What do you think about Steep ?
Never been snowboarding but really want to how does it compare to skating and as a free runner and ex tumbler would I be any good
I think you’d for sure have an advantage as an ex tumbler because you have a bit of air awareness. As for skating, the balance helps but besides that it’s pretty different. It takes some getting used to for sure, but you should give it a try!
Ayy I recognize Bear anywhere, chair 5
Yo Garrett idk if you know this but there is like a slider for gravity and jumping if you want it more realistic
I had no idea!! I gotta check that out
no idea if youre playing this cause i commented it on the last video but thank you😂
I haven't rode a snowboard in a good ten years but box dancing was always made fun. Pivoting while pressing. A good front board or backlip. Corrugated pipe was super fun. I couldn't hit jumps and spin. Plus trex arms so no nose or tail grabs for me. One trick that always got me was toe side fs spinning off jumps. People do that shit mach 10
Hell yeah! I’ve been working on my front boards/back lips but for some reason it’s 10000x scarier on a snowboard than a skateboard for me 😂
What helps a lot for front boards is getting locked or stable over that front binding. Same with back lips. I never liked being in spots where my board flexed a lot cause it was always easier to catch your edge. I honestly treated the feeling more like a front nose on a skateboard then a boardslide. You'll get em and once you do you won't stop doin them haha
Yaaa front board on a snowboard is arguable harder because the board is flat. Skateboards have a curve to the bottom so it's more forgiving. Practice on flat ground snow first and get it locked in, then move on to boxes. Start 50/50 then rotate to front board. Once you got that, go to only front board, then go to rails.
I had a look and saw it came out on PS5, so I bought it. Thanks for reminding me. I tried it before on Xbox Streaming. I still think the controls are too much for me. I got used to Skater XL and Session, but this is another level of complexity I feel like. I’ll give it a try though. See how far I can get.
its way easier once you get the hang of it
@@oneandonly9010 Hope so.
Play steep :)
@@Albanian-ih1pz I did get used to the Shredders controls after I wrote this. Fun game.
4:00 Wildcats are easier to learn imo because you don’t have to lift your board up to your head like a normal backflip, when you throw your arms, lean back and look, the board does all the work. Riding for 20 years and I’m disappointed I didn’t try it for 18 because it came so easy.
13:07 and yeah you gotta do the story mode challenge n shit in order to unlock the rest of the map. Oh and use LT + Right stick to butter, then hold RT and it will hold you in the butter, release RT to pop.😘
Makes sense! I need a foam pit to practice in IRL hahaha
@@GarrettGinnerGaming or deep snow!!
This game looks like Amped. Sports games like this are pretty rare these days.
Play steep its nice to :)
cool haircut
Me personally as a snowboarder I think side backflip is easier then a straight back backflip off your tail
Ok yeah that makes sense
Good morning
Is the x games map in the begining is a mod map?
I’m playing completely vanilla in this video!
The first back flip is a wild cat, second is a barrel roll.
the mod map x games is sick ...
I’ll have to check it out!
This game looks solid, but I think Steep is better. Both Shredders and Steep are top notch if you’re looking for realism. However, if you’re looking for less realistic and a more arcade-y style snowboarder, SSX is the best snowboarding game series out there.
Man I wish I had a PS5 this game looks so fucking fun
ITS NO AMPED 2 BUT ITS THE SHIT
is this a periphery shirt?!
Backflip 2 is WAAAAY easier, backflip 1 is like a cartwheel barrel roll, which is a totally different huck altogether. (On skis, it would be a Lincoln Loop, which is freestyle skiing's leading cause of broken collar bones, legit for real!)
I feel like backflip 2 is easier because it’s way more similar to a regular standing backflip
You spelled Cool Boarders wrong.
Another snowboard game?? Gonna have to check it!
@GarrettGinnerGaming lol. It's my old school pick. It's a ps2 throwback. I do freaking love shredders NOW though. I'm just nostalgic. :)
In my opinion steep looks 10x smoother
😮😮🏆🏆🏆🏆
I don’t like how they don’t say the trick below
the best... even better than cool boarders 3?
I wanted to buy the game up until the game decided to launch you to the moon when you tried to go the the nice village
I think it’s cuz I haven’t unlocked it yet 😂
STIZZY IN THE BACK GO CRAZYYY
Ayo
P2!!!!!
Roger that 🫡🫡
NGL looks like shredsauce.
nice haircut
Thanks!
@@GarrettGinnerGaming comment was genuine. I know it probably sounded like sarcasm
That’s a rodeo
and skater xl is the best skateboard game to ever exist
The snowboarder game is better
Ssx is better 😂
