I agree with you. If i owned a company i would let someone like Chris review it, not on stream or anything like that but to see how to improve it. I always wonder why they dont see the points Chris is mentioning. Some are really cheap to fix and make it an almost perfect budget laptop.

I just appreciate his honesty and his "Linux compatibility".. plus the charge and discharge time. Most reviewers will leave that behind if it's not favorable. As having him consult your company, yeah I guess you'd hire him as a consultant, for a price.

Always the case it seems. Does seem almost intentional, but maybe the RAM cost + Win 10 licensing for 8GB meant they had to cut corners and go with a non-laminated screen. Windows charges a massive $40 USD more for 8GB RAM per laptop than 4GB.

Great review as usual. Both these lappys seem a bit flawed. personally I'd go for something like that Acer Swift 1 instead. You can usually find them on sale and they'rea better all round laptop.

Yes they should have left it black like Chuwi did. But also get a OGS screen not non-laminated. So far using it it's not a deal breaker at least I removed that ugly screen protector. Blacklight is a bit uneven on my keyboard
Laptop looks kool ,I think Teclast build quality is lil better than others. My M5S Tab purchase from BG was a disaster , top two three row pixel layers of display r dimmer than rest of the display. It may be my unit .hope u r X works fine because of the OLED.

great charger with EU plug - much more useable. But I hate to see to see a palm rest out of plastic in a full metall body cause this will later cause aging cause sweat is always agressive and will change the colour of that plastic first. And you look on it day by day and you feel it day by day. Same is for the display which seems to be a bit colourless. Anyway, good start in the new season I guess.

For basic web browsing and document editing, you'd opt for a low powered cheap laptop. Why would you pay $1,000 just for web browsing? It's all about what you do with a laptop.
Who needs more for office tasks and youtube or video ? Imagine it dies, fells of the desk gets hit and has simply died ! Then you thank for every single $ you saved on purchase. If customers wouldn't want and buy these devices they would not exist. And due to high demand we have a huge variety of choice in most cases ... and now even in the N4100 area an 8 GB modell with 128 GB SSD instead these former 64 GB mmc rubbisch with too tiny hatches .... now even the long SSD will fit in without destroying anything or any need for a hack as in the past.

Yes it's either the lapbook SE with 8GB or The lapbook Pro with thin bezels which might be the best model.

Let's hope it will NOT have that freezeing issue - quite a lot of "not Pro" F7 does.
unlock power limit, max everything in the power settings and lower animations, mine is very fast no freezings, use opera as browser

Yes, 100% all metal would have been better. So far this finish on my Lapbook SE is holding up just fine, but this is only after about 4 months.
