It’s worth remembering that Littlefinger’s constant ongoing lessons to Sansa basically amount to “assume everyone is a liar” and “assume you can’t trust anyone” - so it’s not surprising that she reacts to Brienne this way. Sansa’s been living and breathing Littlefinger’s worldview for a while now (while also in the midst of fleeing for her life); as far as she’s concerned, it’s what’s kept her alive.
And it's honestly pretty fair... I mean she knows Jack all about Brienne at that moment. She's never heard of her, Brienne has no plan just like with Arya, and she believes little finger has a vested interest in her safety because he is fixated on her romantically. I mean what was she supposed to do? Try to ride off with Brienne? What if Brienne didn't succeed in cutting a way through and she had to face little finger after a failed attempt to run from him? If they DID get away where would they go? Back to the vale with her unstable cousin?? To a winterfell that's occupied?? To riverrun that's been given to the people that killed her mother and brother? Brienne means well but keeps putting zero thought into her rescue plans and is surprised when the girls don't have faith in this rando stranger
Littlefinger has spent so much time grooming Sansa to be fearful and distrusting of anyone but him. Even as early as season 1, Littlefinger was getting Sansa to fear Sandor Clegane to prevent her from going with him at the battle of the Blackwater. Dude is so calculated
littlefinger is extremely manipulative which is why he’s able to convince sansa to not go with brienne, it doesn’t have much to do with intelligence. petyr and sansa have been together for awhile too so ofc she would rather stay with him than blindly trust a complete stranger… which is why arya didn’t take up briennes offer either.
Well at that point you could completly understand why Sansa refused her. - she failed protecting both renly and catleyn - she has full Lannister armor and sword I wouldnt go with her either
To be fair, Brienne never approached Sansa while they were both in King's Landing, which really made no sense and shows how sometimes a small book change (having Jaime and Brienne make it back to King's Landing before the wedding) can cause a ripple effect to the logic. I just don't see Brienne being that lax if she had easy access to Sansa; she would at least make sure Sansa wanted to stay with Tyrion (which she didn't), but the show needed Sansa to stay with Tyrion so she could leave after the murder. This is another example of how the showrunners make a change but don't want to follow through with the logical consequences of that change.
I agree. Although they did attempt to fix this with the scene of Jaime and her argueing about it. Jaime had a point that there was no good place to take Sansa to, even if she had been unhappy in her marriage. But you are right that it is a bit much to buy that Brienne wouldn't at least talk to her.
I think Drogon just popped in to check up on Daenerys. Maybe he sensed something was wrong when the croud turned against her and once he saw she was ok he went back to exploring. He's probably in that stage of growing up kinda like a teenager wanting to rebel lol but once he gets a little older he'll stay by her side.
Your reaction to Doran putting the kibosh on war: "A dictatorship?" Well, they're all pretty much monarachies, but I really doubt the smallfolk are aching to go to war over one royal, however popular he might have been.

This was the respond to "Valar Morgulis" by the Braavosi Captain to Arya (pronounced "Ar-Ya", not "Aria") last season aswell as Thoros of Myr to the Red Woman when they met in the forest. It means "all men must serve"
thats a little nod to the books there with Qyburn wanting to keep that head for his studies, in the book he briefly mentions his progress with his studies that when oberyn knocked off the mountains helmet with his spear he slashed his face and the poison (after the fight) made the mountain's face + head "slough off" from the rot so its implied its not even ser gregor's head anymore
The way cody says Valar Morghulis sounds like he is saying Julianna Margulies xD Valar Morghulis = all men must die Valar Dohaeris = all men must serve
I wouldn't call Sansa dumb for refusing Brienne's offer. She was naive in the first season before her father got killed...and her brother...and mother. Littlefinger is the only one who take care of her and he made her escape happen. She has been manipulated from the start. There is no reason for her to trust Brienne especially since she has Jaime's sword and was seen in King's Landing. Why would she leave her "safe place" that is Petyr and go with a stranger?
