We play local LAN on mental omega every friday. The atmospher this game creates is somthing else! nothing like any other new strategy game. so special. Huge thanks for the developer for all the efforts and details.
Agreed... This is the best change that's gonna come out of 3.3.7... Many of my campaign playtroughs and certain pvp-matches have been ruined with this... (Currently Force-Fire on the ground and not a unit migitates the problem a little...)
4:51 the Irkalla is now even more so the Protoss Mothership, and that's really saying something, considering the Irkalla was already not so subtlely inspired by the Protoss Mothership.
I just can't believe we are getting such a quality game for free, this is the difference in making something out of pure love and passion versus making something only for profit (looking at 90% of AAA soulless games) Thank you Mod team, you guys are awesome!

You really only build it when you're already winning HARD and your economy is completely outbooming your opponent, which is a little hard as epsilon to do in general and I doubt that planet-cracker will make a difference in pvp... for an airship that's already incredibly vulnerable to AA-Fire that now has to get even closer to dangerous AA for the big damage payoff just ain't good enough... Almost all of Epsilons Tier 3/4 units except for Scorpion Cell and the Psi Corps Gehenna would actually need a few buffs especially libra, since you can just have much better investitions...😂 For that london-campaign mission tho? It's a blessing unless mental difficulty adds even more AA teams😢

Timescape is probably small. Knightframe scouts fighting Initiates and rescuing anyone they can as they discover how screwed the Earth is Unavoidable is Foehn and Epsilon going to full blown war almost immediately after Timescape. First Psychic Amplifier destroyed to liberate a region Visceral Grit has to be Malver and the Scorpion Cell remnants becoming Hailhead. Foehn grows in numbers despite bleeding more troops at a faster pace Outer Recall has the Soviet Moon Forces, including Eureka, become Wings of Coronia. Foehn is able to deepstrike behind enemy lines Blindsight is about Uragan and the Last Bastion. Big Lore dumps and Uragan soloing an Epsilon base Enemy Within makes me think that Yuri isn't 100% dead. His body is destroyed but not his soul/mind Alternatively, Enemy Within has KANE show up and cause a Foehn Civil War!!!

Or maybe Libra is cracking under the strain of operating the Mental Omega Device and developed a second personality that is this "enemy within", which may or not help Foehn (could be an independent antagonist that seeks total annihilation of all life to avenge Libra's past trauma and suffering, as opposed to Epsilon's goal of total domination).

Awesome work on this update! I especially liked the new units and the artillery projectile fix. That issue was becoming really annoying, especially in the missions where defenses were placed right at the top of a ramp. Can't wait to see the new Foehn Campaign!
It's nice to see that the artillery accuracy issue is getting fixed, but I noticed that the trajectory is still off and not landing on the target. I assume it's that the engine is not flexible enough and you pretty much have to force the attack to hit.
It's a generic issue with how arcing projectiles are drawn, not dependant on the elevation. "Not flexible enough" is not the reason, the reason is that the amount of issues that can be fixed by us in Phobos is endless and the manpower is finite :)
to think that around 8 years back I just had an intrusive thought of “hey I wanna play RA2 again” to “sadly this aged badly, maybe some mods” and MO is the first mod I downloaded and it’s like getting an entirely different new game still almost makes me cry everytime
I'm guessing Foehn and Epsilon get to use the new Allied and Soviet units in Act 3 Campaign Those US javelins will be useful since Giantsbanes won't be available until halfway the campaign

I don't play this mod anymore, i've went back to vanilla ra2yr and other rts games. I forgot i'm still subscribed here so I have to give my commendation to the new and old MO team for keeping this mod supported and updated with new content to distribute on the horizon. Also Cryoshot? I'm getting ptsd from the ra3 allies 😓. And support powers costing resources? That's an interesting change. Surprised to see Speeder is back, I was led to believe in the official discord and the revora forums that Speeder backed down to seek his personal portfolio in music production, so if Speeder sees this or someone else has taken over, Thanks for the years and time you've given me to experience the mod when I had more free time on my hands.

Phobos adds filtering of miners and other non-combat stuff from the selection, a hotkey to select idle harvesters, some display and tooltip improvements like displaying how much power the building will consume, current power in numeric forms, active/total miners amounts etc.
1 step at a time next act is gonna live up to the hype honestly with the trial of the fan made missions of what could've been the next act by fans , this official ones are gonna be fire especially that 6th mission name is foreboding

Wait, so Great Tempest is also burst damage now? Does it insta-kill vehicles with lift now? Nuke has radiation, Storm's blackout, and Domination can convert, what's in for Foehn?
It doesn't look to be burst damage, more like damage over time but the effect looks to be more like a set of high damage pulses? Either that or it's just quicker and maybe applies debuff that negates repair abilities
Not sure if the right place to throw the idea I have out when I was watching this teaser... So forgive me if isn't so. For the part on looking for mission scripters, why not get in touch with the guys who make the foehn rising's creator? Probably could adapt aspects of it into the story you guys are creating. Could even expand this idea into a choose between two super important objectives to fulfil, which forks into two different ways the storyline can go/end like how we could choose certain options in the special ops. Could even play into the idea like how C&C3 GDI final mission allows for a good/bad end depending on how you decide to destroy the tiberium control node. Whereas the options leads to things going the "canon" route that you guys make, and "alternate" route that leads to the foehn rising campaign as a nod for adapting aspects of that creator's fan campaign. Unfortunately, I can't really help with the part on infantry modelling art. Can't draw anything artistic even if my life depends on it, as much as I wish to contribute. Don't even know where to start to learn how to create what is needed for creating what goes into the asset for infantry models. Is there any other way for those who are interested in helping to contribute to the mod? PS: THE HYPE IS REAL! MY LIFE FOR YURI! (gets disassembled by duplicates)

Hopefully not with the AI, most of the mods using Phobos have awful AI and I’m not sure if that’s because of the tool itself or the modders

New Great Tempest animation looks amazing! Though now it looks like a black-hole-ish spatial rift instead of a hurricane.
Foehn is capable of such wind manipulation, a bit more than just a hurricane.
