Worth mentioning parts of this video were recorded with the low cut function on and other parts with the noise cut function. For the audio at its absolute clearest, listen to 03:00 - 04:20.
When you are used to the audio from a decent condenser microphone stereo pair such as the Rode Stereo Videomic X (SVMX), this sounds really cheap and unrealistic even with the low cut turned off. I guess there's a reason Sony don't publish the performance metrics of this microphone, or indeed any of the mics in their range. All right for content creators close-miked dialogue, but not much else.
Great video but not sure why you would do the entire video outside with the noise cut filters on. The video is really only showing the wireless capabilities rather than the audio itself, which I assume the target audience of the product is for podcast and streamers...
looks like a premium product but the sound recording doesn't sound premium. was thinking of getting it for natural sound recording of a wedding ceremony & reception but i will stick to my H6 recorder. still love sony cameras.
Question: CAN You replace the battery, once it reached its service life?
Or will you have to throw away the entire microphone?
Have you thought about that, that all rechargeable batteries die sooner than later?

Certain portions were done on Low cut. 03:00 - 04:20 is better showcase with the low cut off/noise cut on.
Did you ever had a microphone ? try to speak at Neuman U87 from that far like 80cm like he holds.
Not sure if it was your video editing but the sound quality sounded like it came from an extremely cheap voice recorder. It doesn't do the Sony any justice at all.

I don't think it sounded good
Not a fan of the low cut sections myself, but between 03:00 - 04:20 are examples of the noise cut and noise cut off versions.
