Lyrics 🎀 You said I was the most exotic flower Holding me tight in our final hour I don't know how you convince them and get them, babe I don't know what you do It's unbelievable And I don't know how you get over, get over Someone as dangerous, tainted and flawed as you One for the money Two for the show I love you, honey I'm ready, I'm ready to go How did you get that way? I don't know You're screwed up and brilliant Look like a million dollar man So why is my heart broke? You've got the world But baby, at what price? Something so strange Hard to define It isn't that hard, boy To like you or love you I'd follow you down, down, down You're unbelievable If you're going crazy Just grab me and take me I'd follow you down, down, down Anywhere, anywhere One for the money Two for the show I love you, honey I'm ready, I'm ready to go How did you get that way? Hah, this version sounds more like those old songs she always talks about. Like 'One more for the road' by Frank Sinatra, not really LIKE that song, but like that era. makes sense, as the line 'One for the money' is referencing those kind of songs.
This SHOULD’VE been the album version. The album version totally stuffed the song with so much unnecessary wabbles and sounds. This definitely is a much more jazz approach. Overproduction killed Born To Die for some songs.
the album version's additional sounds were there for a specific mood and style. comparing this to the album version, this has lesser effect to the listener. that wasn't "overproduction," the producer just knows how to add more soul and power to lana's music so the listeners could feel the songs creep in their minds as the music starts.
it’s definitely not “overproduced” it’s called having creative and out there production it sets her song apart from a basic jazz song or any song it takes influences from
@@vibrationzzz There’s a reason why she barely performs any tracks from this album, you know that right? It was more label heads dictating her sound than her. Overproduced: “Recorded or arranged in such an elaborate way that the spontaneity or artistry of the original material is lost.” This is a great example.
@@tnargtnarudare you stupid? her team obviously did it for commercial performance and mainstream media as it was her debut and it obviously worked. Lana also liked it herself.. as she stated in an interview she worked with composers that made the songs come alive. you say the overproduction is bad but look at COTCC and BB. both generally disliked by fans and media. overproduction is not bad, fuck off
live laugh lana
so inspiring i love it

i remember looking at my playlist where all the ultraviolence songs were and i was so confused why it wasn’t there
I think this song would fit well in between Old Money and The Other Woman
is it just me that loves the “overproduction” of this song on the album (and most songs)…
I’m in loveeeeee I just discovered all demo and omggg

OMGGG😻
born to die was over produced the demos really are so much better
except for maybe Carmen. I liked the lyrics but Carmen as a demo would not have gotten commercial success.
Burning desire was really good
The “overproduction” is what made that album so iconic and legendary. I will forever be chasing the euphoria it brings.
wow
ONE FOR THE MOOONEEEY
She’s beautiful 🫦
This demo feels a lot more nfr than btd somehow
i think btd was overproduced so shed hit the mainstream to kickstart her career properly. (thats a guess)

damn you’re still here! :D
