I didn't get into BMW's until 1983 in which I bought a new R80RT. I then moved into a almost new 1986 R80RT. They were great machine's & I miss riding them. That blue 1976 sure look's beautiful. If I could get into a time machine, I would go back to the 1970's in a heartbeat. I don't need all of the different stuff that they load these bikes up with today. All I need is my own skill's to operate the machine. P.S. I did however own a 1976 750cc Suzuki water buffalo which I purchased brand new. Have a beautiful day & thank you for the video!! Illinois, USA
Great comment Larry. In the 70s and 80s it was all about riding. Today it is a lot different. Bikes are more or less tech bombs and sometimes you just don't find the way to use everything that you have. As I see you had some very good and nice bikes. I would also like "to travel in time"... far back in the 70s. :) The Kawasaki Z1 was wonderful. :) Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. Much appreciated.
@@RRRRefuelRideRace Funny that you mentioned that Kawasaki Z1 because I was deciding at that time whether to buy the water buffalo or the Kawasaki 900 & I chose the wrong one. SHIT!!
When I first saw it, I thought this motorbike was the BMW R nine T, but it turns out that this BMW R60/6 motorbike really deserves to be really special. The retro appearance makes this motorbike vintage and legendary in its day. Thank you for sharing a rare motorbike, Looks brand new and great sound..I enjoy watching your videos
I agree bro. It looks very stylish and this blue color is just amazing. No electronics on this one and that is cool. Thanks for taking the time. Appreciate it. Take care bro.
@@RRRRefuelRideRace What you said is true, very stylish and blue color is my favorite, that's why I was fascinated to see it. Having no electronics is what makes this bike special
I still prefer the styling of the 70s machines compared to modern bikes. Amazing how many years BMW have been using a boxer engine. Lovely looking bike
Thank you for making this video. There are too few videos of the R60/6 model. I’m very fortunate to have 2 of them, both 1974 models. My original, in black, is awaiting restoration and a second, unrestored but in near mint condition and in Monza blue as seen in this video.
You are welcome. This is a very 70s bike and I like it as such. The blue color makes it fresh and attractive in my opinion. Can check my other videos on the "Vintage beauties" playlist and subscribe if you feel so. There will be more. Take care.
That blue has the strength to attract. :) I like it too. I am glad that you are back. You had nice trip and I can expect some interesting stuff from you and Tommy. :)
They look robust, big and heavy, but in fact they ride just the opposite. I like them a lot. 15 years ago I wasn't so sure of that. You are right bro. Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate it.
Thanks for watching. I agree. A wonderful bike. The owner is my friend. Feel free to check my other videos and sub if you feel so. Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. Ride safe.
Yes, exactly, it had it. Harder/softer. :) The seat offers a huge comfort. If one wouldn't agree, I would suggest to find a similar one with more comfort. I would say, a mission impossible in my opinion.
This is Great! That is a great looking bike! It is in such great condition for a bike produced in 1976. I really like the blue color also. Great video Gregor!! Cheers!
@@RRRRefuelRideRace wow, I can't wait! I always wanted a old R80 gs like my hero Sam manicom, I almost got one in January then I realised it was just so expensive for parts and I couldn't afford to fix it up so I abandoned it for the CX 500. Take care and stay safe 🙏🙏

Yes Jody. From the mechanical cruise control and being without the kick start... to the key location. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it. Hope you are doing well and Tommy too.
The BMW boxer is already a trademark right now. You are right. In the new R1300 there will still be a boxer. This is now somehow traditionally I would say. :)
Hello sir ........I have a 1974 R60/6 also...if I may ask did you restore it? if so what electronic system did you use please or was it standard in that year. and one final question where did you get those engine bars from there awesome. thank you .....Pip
