- Just a hasty unboxing of my Hasbro Six-inch Black Series Snowspeeder. To keep it as raw as possible, I went with a minimalist approach - no frills, minimum edits, and iPhone photos. Apologies for that, and for having my COVID-coifed head in the video.
Get this thing. It's awesome. - Навчання та стиль
There’s no feeling quite like finally being able to obtain something you couldn’t when you were a child. Congrats
You're not wrong. Thanks!
Hi Terry, just stumbled across your Snowspeeder unboxing. Thank you for sharing. I gotta say it is a really nice model. I have to admit that Back in the days of my early teens I bought an original Kenner Snowspeeder. I was the happiest kid on the planet. Unfortunately I lost the speeder and a lot more original Kenner Star Wars toys. However 40 years later I started to build o collection of 3.75 inch TVC figures, vehicles and playlets. And I have an TVC Snowspeeder which is awesome, just like the old Kenner Snowspeeder which makes me again the happiest kid on the planet ;) Cheers man
Beautiful piece, this is almost as good as the studio scale model, I'm so glad I have this in my collection takes me back to when I was kid although this is a lot better than the vintage models back in the 70's and 80's
Awesome video from Terry Smith . Star wars collection is awesome keep collecting and may the force be with you 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love it! I told myself I didn't need one but here we are adding to cart.
You won't regret it. If it's not perfect, then it's close enough to perfect that I can't tell any different. (I mean, you can have six Black Series Figures at $20 each, or this.)
Nothing quite like the giddy anticipation of finally acquiring a relic of pure nostalgia from ones youth , great review as always I have never hit buy now on a figure quicker 🥴
Thanks! Yeah, this is one of those validation purchases, I suppose. Love it. It's currently crawling with Rebels figures. I'll have to get a photo up on my Instagram with it soon.
Congrats! I too missed out on this as a kid and Hasbro really came through know. I just picked this thing up and it is AMAZING! It looks like a studio model. Congrats again and enjoy!
It really is!
Great review Terry many thanks. Like the dune quote.
I wondered if anyone would catch that...
Amazing review thanks for sharing.
Great review !!! Keep it coming.
Thanks!
Appreciate the video Terry.
Great video! I need this ship!
Thank goodness hasbro made the six inch figures. What can we do without them.
I've tried to let go of them, but they keep pulling me back in with stuff like this.
I really enjoyed this video Terry. No apologies necessary. I respect and heartily applaud absolute candor! And I've yet to meet a spouse who doesn't appreciate enthusiasm ;)
Brother I came here for the review but I just realized you legit look like a Jedi!
Yeah, I can see that. Thanks. (Although these days, I look more like a wizard.)
I ended up cutting the windows out because they are just opaque as heck! There's no film to take off. They just used a really flexible but hazy clear plastic for the canopy. My only complaint.
Great video, still like to get it. You are doing well in Charlotte. Let Sideshow know need more Clone Troopers and Cammanders. I miss out the earlier lines.
Terry slumming it with Hasbro lol
I kid I kid great piece!
More like Hasbro's stepping up! :)
Great review man. I just picked up the Hasbro TIE and am so happy with it. Looks like a model straight out of ILM.
Paul Ripp Which TIE is that? The Black Series FO Special Forces?
Terry Smith the Hasbro Vintage Collection TIE.
@@paulripp8802 I have the Eclipse Tie Fighter with the Rebel Alliance logo on it. The only other Tie Fighter I have is the one from the Solo toy line but it is significantly smaller. The cockpit can easily fit the the pilot figure that came with it but the wings are tiny compared the eclipse version.
Will we ever get a room tour of your amazing collection?
Mine will be here in a couple of days. Ordered some transparent PLA for my 3D printer to make a clear base. Don't understand why Hasbro didn't include one. If you like the snow speeder, check out the Black Series Enfys Nest's swoop bike. Not as popular, but really nice.
It Luke’s Awesome 👏 and about the mines the same can be said if you take a stray shot at the torpedo bay 😱🤣🙌🏻
That’s a very valid point.
Could tell how stoked you were to have this one. I bought the BS Luke Snowspeeder pilot figure with full intention of picking this up when I can. WAP! WAP! WAP it up! I'll take it!
Glad you liked the sound effect tutorial. It just sort of flows over the lips, you know? Like a fine whiskey, but in the other direction.
It looks fantastic.
It does! This thing totally lives up to the hype.
6” scale snowspeeder? Damn!!!
Kenner has light and sound effects.
I thought I remembered it having those. I don’t miss them in this one, though. I only wanted it for display. Any electronic features would have gone unused.
Hi Terry, this review you did, absolutely made me purchase one of these. But the other reason I got one of these, was because I'm one of those people that enjoys trying to improve on the over all appearance , and try to make it look more like a studio model. I'm going as far as to light it up inside as well. I've taking some still shots of what I've done so far. If you are interested in seeing what I've done, please drop me a line, and I'll send you some still images of my progress. Its a great model, but I was not happy with the paint job. I could see that it had plenty of potential. Hasbro built the bones, now I'm finishing the skins. Brad
That's cool! And I encourage it, definitely. I finally landed an AT-TE a couple of months back, and plan to do something similar to it. I'm gonna keep the Snowspeeder as-is, but I have a model kit that I'm looking forward to attacking in the coming months.
all the things we do to reconcile our childhood memories....childhood the coffer of dreams, some to be fulfilled in adulthood...!!!
If we’re lucky, yes.
"WAP WAP WAP" xD You're awesome Terry! :D Nice to see you again!!! We need more 6 inch figures reviews ;)
P.S. I just saw the Sideshow Magneto review too...amazing O_O
Thank you! Yeah, I'm guilty of making sound effects when goofing with my stuff. One step close to my second childhood. (Coming as soon as I finish my first childhood...)
Hello my friend, I have a question...
Do you think it's possible to light up the cockpit ; putting little lightai the little screens and such; if not a guess under some were in the crockpit.
Thank you.

WE ROCK!!!!!
to build a scaled AT-AT Leg for this baby is a great idea :o)
I know! But no one ever listens to my ideas. :/
Terry Smith so sad, but i heard it instead and think of it 🤘🏼my brain is instantly working on it 👍🏼
Hasbro could make a Bespin twin pod cloud city car. In the 6 inch scale that is.
I feel like that's doable.
I would have thought that the cable would attach to the rear gun but I couldn’t make it work. Weird oversight
Great video. Everything I need to know and see. How’d that mount work out, Terry?
My living arrangement (see also: Marriage) became unstable, so I put it off. I might revisit the idea later..
Hello there, can't find where to put the two last little pieces with the golden tip...any idea?
I think you're talking about the extra mines. There are a couple of clips in the cockpit, on the starboard side of Luke's seat. They should fit in nicely there.
Were you able to find and peel off the "Opague Film" on windows or is that just how the windows are? The picture on the front of the box the windows look much clearer!
I stopped trying. It’s just how it’s made. I covered it in another question at the very bottom. Pretty lengthy reply, so I hope you don’t mind just reading it there. I think it’s the very last question.
This is cool and all but they should have put LED strips inside the laser housings, a little speaker at the bottom to make the sounds. Considering the technology we have today it would not have raised the price that much. LED strips are cheap and the method not that tasking. I really like the other attention to details like the weathering and such. It's just a hard sell for me since it has no pew pew.
Is there a particular difference (In this case or otherwise) between a highly detailed "toy" and a collectable?
Not a difference that I would call binary. It’s more of a sliding scale, or a venn diagram, maybe. A toy can be a collectible, and a collectible can be a toy. But not all collectibles are toys, and not all toys are collectibles. Additionally, a person can collect things that aren’t considered to be collectibles, and there are legitimately collectibles out there that no one wants to collect.
“Collectibles” is used by adults with significant others as an excuse to buy toys
Terry ! your toy reviews are awesome 🔥😎when are you coming back to the jedha streams ?? 😭
Not sure yet
the silver fox returns.....
I need a haircut...
If only Hasbro made a Rogue 2 zev senesca black series snowspeeder
Open Count Dooku!!!, I wanna see your posing!
Any way I can send you some images to an email. I am not on any social media sites. I just use email. I never felt too comfortable using those media sites. So I never joined.
THE NAME IS... SNOWSPEEDER... NOT AIR SPEEDER!!! 😲
Thanks for commenting, and for giving me the opportunity to clarify this point. The official name from the manufacturer is the T-47 airspeeder. The Rebel T-47s were modified by the Rebellion to be used in colder climates only after they established a base on Hoth.
Or, to put it another way, while not all T-47 Airspeeders are Snowspeeders, all Snowspeeders are most definitely T-47 Airspeeders.
There is a glaring flaw in this model and you others never mention it! The canopy window is not clear plastic!I The promo photo shows a CLEAR window but that is not we get. The window is a sickly, milky almost frosty quality made of cheap, crappy grade plastic. That pissed me off! How about the rest of you guys who bought this snowspeeder--is you window clear plastic? It should be! There needs to be a replacement part made available so the model can be properly
be put on display!
Nah. Not bothered by it. I mean, I'll admit that I tried for a few seconds to find the corners of the film that I thought was covering a clear acrylic canopy so that I could peel it off. But when I realized it wasn't there, I never thought about it again. It's certainly not taking away from my enjoyment of the toy.
Also, upon closer inspection, I've found so, so many inaccuracies in it, when compared to the studio scale model. But, again, I just shrugged it off. It's not meant to be a replica, after all. It's meant to be a toy. And when have Star Wars toys ever been screen-accurate?
Here's a link to a promo video from back in February. You can see that the sample that they're working with also features the same plastic. So it's clearly by design.

Um - could be actual frost or condensation perhaps - jeez, it is a cold environment after all?!
