What I'd call a family shoot, you arrive a stranger but leave a friend. A happy atmosphere and good duck shooting thrown in. PERFECT.
that is precisely what all country sports are about
Great video Dave.
Glad you are showcasing various types of shooting from high end expensive shoots to the more reasonable days such as this duck shoot.
aim to show everything eventually
extreme love for the superb upcoming shots sir, thanks and regards from Pakistan.
Another great video Dave, really enjoyed it. I love to see you make time for the young ones. That bit of encouragement goes a long way in keeping them interested for years to come whether they are just watching or helping out.
you are right you cannot praise them enough, but sad fact is this country does not recognize the enormous benefits country sports as to offer to both young and old alike
The best thing to ever happen to UA-cam is dave carrie, love the videos and how he is so passionate for the sport and how he loves to see the younger generation getting involved, as soon as the kids are in bed these videos are my time to relax and wind down, could watch them all day, keep up the good work dave 👍
james webb
thanks James for the nice comments it is much appreciated 👌
Another great video Dave. !! I love the different places you go and the variety of game. I like shooting the #3 steel when duck hunting
I am totally amazed at the quality of filming and sound, it is superb. The music mixing is, for me spot on. Oh! Your not bad either and not a bad shot. Many thanks, I've subscribed.
thanks for your input William much appreciated
It was a privilege to watch this video. Very refreshing to see integrity and respect is still alive and well in some places. And you sir are a fine shot. Thank you.
thankyou Nathan
Where is this called?? Who’s land is it jw
Lovel video, enjoyed seeing everyone
Fantastic video, sat watching and then BOOM I see my shooting buddy Andy sat with his dog talking to Dave. Made the video that bit better seeing local lads
thanks Oliver
Nice to see your daughter giving you a run for your money !! . Great little video Dave most enjoyable . My to springers would have love that there .keep them coming 👍
Thanks Darell nice training ground
Good shots. Great video.
Great way to build people’s confidence in steel. Excellent film Dave.
i think so too
Important for people to see that there is a broad range of shooting available in the country too.
Dave great video as usual and great photography. You are lucky to be able to have your daughter shoot with you on many occasions.
Thanks Mike, a lucky man indeed
Fantastic!
Great video again dave. Top shooting by you and your daughter. Keep it up mate
thanks Richard
Hello Dave, that looks like a awesome days shooting.
To me this video embodies everything that is good about the Shooting fraternity. From the happy birthday cake, the host, and the people in the background, all seemed to be enjoying themselves. That is what I miss most about the shooting season. Damn Arthritis & back problems, what I wouldn’t give to be fit and healthy again. Great work Dave, keep showing these videos.
Thanks Paul very controversial subject but we have to be upfront and show all aspects of the shooting sports
How are you gonna say health problems are keeping you from partaking in this kinda thing? There's nothing to it you stand where your told and shoot birds pushed toward you its less physical then golf its a fucking joke really and that's not cuz your shooting birds its cuz your not hunting there's nothing to this anyone can do it theres no skill, we piss on this in America there's no such thing as this in the states
Garrett Harper obviously you have never been to Great Britain to sample what is probably the finest Driven Shooting in the World. That is why Foreigners flock to sample our great sport (including Americans). As for my back problems, if you are not an Orthopaedic Surgeon, you have no idea the pain and balancing problems I suffer. I will treat your comment with the contempt it deserves.
@@paulallum6738 your right I live 45 mn from a sporting clays course why the hell would I travel over seas to shoot birds pushed to me??? I also HUNT WILD MIGRATING waterfowl 6 months out of the year.
@@garrettharper9519 yes I have seen American videos about wildfowl shooting. 15 - 20 metres away is not sporting. Shooting birds 50,60,70 metres away is very challenging. This is what Dave Carrie is all about. Probably one of the finest high bird shooting exponent there is.
Brandesburton, not far from my old home North Ferriby,Great to hear the accents again.
Great video
Mallard, tastier than pheasant any day. Good stuff mate, Gamebore Supersteel #4 32gram shot out of my 89 year old BSA 3” Duck gun always for wild Black ducks and Teal over decoys down here in South Australia. Cheerio, Bob.
Hi Bob, good stuff i was pleasantly surprised with steel
very very amazing video.
Thanks
That film reminded me of a day shooting a Gamekeepers duck pond in the North East of Scotland where we could only shoot drakes and woe betide if you shot a duck.
Top vid very enjoyable
thanks
Love this video. People having a great day out. Quarries developed into waterfowl breeding grounds. Champagne at a shoot and a dachshund. Not sure its a working one though lol!
well put!! just hard to make some of the others understand "that is the whole idea" creating wildlife habitat and enjoying the fruits of ones labor
Love the part at 4:32 where you can se an excited gun dog
you cannot beat it
Working man's sport if your a solicitor or plumber lol
Best shooting...
I can sort somewhere for you to leave your daughter for the day Dave 🤣🤣🤣 jokes aside class production as per 👌🏾
earned a sub! (:
Who films your videos, the cinematography is outstanding!
all done in house by our own fulltime cameraman
Hi Dave, great shooting, and great spot, what chokes were you using with the steel 3’s ?
1/2
You will find when using steel shot that you need to go up 2 shot sizes from what you would use in lead. Steel shot was poor when the lead ban was first introduced but now it is good providing you don't use cheap rubbish. My preference is tungsten-matrix from Kent cartridges but it is ridiculously expensive. Especially in my 20g.
You mean you go down two sizes from what you would use in Lead! Eg. If you used to shoot lead #6 then you would need to use steel #4's as the steel does not have the punch that lead shot does and yes those Tungsten cartridges are really good but very expensive!!!! Happy hunting.
@@domj345 Yes, I meant increase the shot size. Steel for a standard 12g isn't particularly good in my opinion. The proper wildfowling stuff, 3.5" is good. But I don't thing turning up on a driven duck shoot like this with a semi-auto would be very popular!
This guy is a great professional shooter he is not the common man he saids weid stuff which most brainwashed old english guys say but they rember the 70tys when a lot of people in my old country owned shot guns this whent on till 1995 when the government whent completely overboard and you were waitng up to a year for your shotgun renewell and where doctor s were anti gun wouldn't sign and some stated charging all kinds of money yes dave and i rember when it was simple thats why dave there arnt the shooters anymore buts there plenty of thugs and knife crime but england doesent care about that all they care about is weal make as hard as we can to own one im glad i saw the old time freedoms from the past yes dave tell the truth about it all it should be a simple background check like i have in the states
Great day .
thanks
Great video! Do you ever shoot any banded ducks?
occasionally
can you tell me some contact details to book a day there?
That’s it! Wearing neckties out duck hunting from now on!
thanks for your comments Kieth nice to see the differences in attire for all types of shooting from around the world
will you be putting the 32grm 3s Steel over your pattern plate Dave ? , Also whos the contact for that shoot wouldn't mind a crack at those duck.
Ring John Robson the organiser 01377 255868 evenings only tho
Are the birds just flushed with that flag? or how do they jump the birds to start?
Does Gamebore make a Bismuth shot shell for you folks in the UK?
if you go online i am sure they will have something for everyone
@@DaveCarrieShooting We can get Bismuth shells pretty easily here in the States just wondered if it was the same for you guys across the pond. Bismuth is nice for that extra punch like lead provides but still be Non-Toxic like steel. The downside is that it is quite expensive.
i think you are right too expensive for the average wildfowler over here but the steel loads are certainly getting better and better
Bismuth I think is Eley only but I could be wrong.
Dave, how would I contact them about a possible duck day or two? We would combine it with something else in the area, but I think I could make it a success for some of us here across the pond.
very sorry John i have just noticed your post - please accept my humble apologies for not replying sooner, the organizer was John Robson who incidentally he as a company called European hunting. uk he is a plain speaking man John Robson !! very approachable and i am sure he would put you right
hi dave just seen your vid at brandesburton duck shoot and me and a few lads have booked aday there do you know if i can shoot steel through my mk 38 teauge sporter as i know you shoot miroku shotguns
if it is steel proof it should have the fleur de lys symbol
@@DaveCarrieShooting cheers yes it does keep the films coming pete
Amazing how the oldest, ugliest ram can still produce beautiful lambs!
You are correct David - you must have supermodels for daughters Ha!Ha!
3 beauties! How did you know!! Now I know that look in your eye! All 3 of mine love the countryside. One is a vet. Only one has ever shot a pheasant, but they all love eating game, too.
Do you get to take any of the birds you shoot home?
As many as you want Jake👍
I am from Pakistan and want to come for hunting season and want to join with you. Is it possible?
Could you say what kind of gun your daughter was shooting.
Krieghoff
Esto no son cazadores, son tiradores y por lo que se ve, gente que tiene mucho dineroo!
👍👍👍
Was that a browning 725 pro you were using Dave ?
Looked like a beretta trap Gun I think
Looks like a Browning Ultra XT series Multichoke Sporter.Guess Dave needed the more open chokes for steel shot.
I'm not 100% but looks like a Miroku to me?
Sorry take that back. Beretta👍🏻
@@StealthSurviveYT I now tend to agree with the shot a way guy Mr Carrie does use mirokus same as me but his would be to tight choked for steel let's see when Mr c replys he may even tell us how much a day is there which would be lntresting
I think Rachael should have her own channel. :-)
Wait...are these guys going out half loaded to shoot ducks? Honorary Americans. Come on over boys and girls!
Do you do any REAL hunting or just released bird drives???
Just this I’m afraid
@@DaveCarrieShooting not trying to take away from this at all, was just curious. Love your videos Dave!!!!
By eck lad, hav thee some ovis
love Hovis and my Barnsley twang
@@DaveCarrieShooting ... Top Chap Dave!! 😍
Shooting half tame reared ducks off off a working quarry looked like the surface of the moon. Is this really where sport is at these days? Not my cup of tea but grub and drink looked nice & one or two ladies too
Lead shot number? Thank You
36grm 1s and 2s steel and a few 4s and 3s 😂
how much is a cheap day your way??? that's a £600 day in my book??? can't afford that
400
very2good
thanks
I came here for the duck hunting, but somehow mid-video my interest shifted towards other matter... let's leave it that way
sorry if you didnt like the English version
I know you don't call it hunting and its not but I feel like this is about what it is in europe and being an american I have to voice my opinion, and this is just the fruitiest bunch of fucking marys to ever be given a shotgun. I just can't imagine being attracted to something like this
thanks for your input Garret, everyone to their own opinion and i know the States have totally different hunting/ shooting methods to England, cammo in the field is the norm in America - tweeds and silk is the norm in our country sports, i once shot duck in America whilst competing for the GB fitasc shooting team and i dressed accordingly in cammo, it didnt make me feel like Rambo (although i could bench press about 500 lb at the time) it did though make me feel part of the group that day and that is what fieldsports is all about.
Dave Carrie
@@DaveCarrieShooting wearing cammo in America when it comes to waterfowl hunting to my knowledge has nothing to do with impersonating Rambo, its just the difference in hunting pen raised pet birds and wild animals. We're not to interested in shooting or as you do "skybusting" tame birds. The notion that a massive amount of skill and experience is required to hit long range targets when hundreds are shot in a day is rather basic, just kinda Elmer Fud stuff but you guys certainly get off on it.
thanks for your constructive reply Garret, at the end of the day we are all like minded folk doing what we like doing, out in the countryside beats sat in the house any day.
DC
And. Working man’s sport? Their kit costs a months wages. The shotguns? Sorry, love. No ring. But I got a nice over under for you. Classy sons of guns.
People like you will always find an excuse. There's second hand russian shotguns for less than 100 pound, turkish for less than 250! There's always a way if you really have desire.
its so much easier when you know its coming. come to america where its not all staged
Notice how he said this was a “stepping stone for many a young shot who would like to gain more experience”
MURICA FUCK YEAHH
Cruel
Shooting reared ducks is wank
shooting reared anything is never as good as the wild thing, but!! shooting reared protects our natural species and helps the countryside flourish
I don't care what sort of shot you are. 70 yards with any load in a twelve is dreadful sportsmanship.
hi Gregg thanks for your comment - everybody is entitled to his opinion and i respect that
Great video
