I have to tell you, After 6 or 7 video's on this Manual switch install. Yours's was the one that made the most sense to me. I went out and did mine after watching this and works perfectly , Thanks.
Thank you I really do appreciate the compliment. I try my best to make the videos as easy as possible. They are DIYs after all. Lol
I feel dumb now, I spent over two hours yesterday trying to find where that orange and brown wire goes from the fuze box. Then another two looking at wiring diagrams for the gsxr. Should have just come here first. Thanks for the upload.
Lol, I know how it feels. I've done the samething, Worked on something for multiple days couldn't get it right and then I look on UA-cam and this person gives you a full walkthrough. And your like I should have just done this in the first place. LOL
Helped me out nicely, now I got a manual fan switch fitted with your excellent tuition, well done.
No problem I'm glad that my video could help you

I am going to do this on my 85 Vmax 1200 tomorrow after work. I don’t like how hot it is when I’m in traffic and going through town. Thanks for the upload and stay safe👍
I remember one time I was sitting in traffic and the warning light for the temperature gauge started to Blink that's when I realized how fast a bike can heat up so I wanted to do something to be able to control the fan hope it works out for you

Great video man what gauge wire for the switch?
I may be wrong but I think it's 20 gauge
Best video! Good lookn bro.
No problem, I enjoy helping out my fellow BIKE RIDERS.
Okay
So I have a question is there a reason why this set up works when the radiator fan is not plugged up but when I plugged the fan into the radiator, the switch no longer works
Is there a reason when i touch the little wire to tips it rolled once the fan and now it wont turn but fan works by itself
do you put the ON side connected to the battery positive and the OFF side to the ground cable?
As long as it's just a two prong switch similar to the one in my video it doesn't matter which wire you connect to what prong all it does is connect the two wires together when you turn it on.
But in my video I ran the positive to the on and the negative to the off
Would it be ok if I ran two red wires ?
Yes it doesn't matter you can run two yellow wires or two green wires as long as it's two wires and you know which one is the positive and which one is the negative just use a black Sharpie on the positive one
@@JOATD i agree all wires are made of the same material just the coating of the wire is made for identifying
Any update? Did this actually help the bike cool down? Great video btw.
Yes it did because I was able to turn the fan on before the bike got to a high temperature. Best mod I've ever done to my bike I have a new bike CBR Double R I'm going to do it to it also
@@JOATDhell yeah man. Do you by chance know how many amps that switch is or does it matter?
It doesn't matter I actually have the links in my description
@@ABK7318 a.co/d/ay0kd5Q
@@JOATD I can't even do it on mine. I don't have the temp sensor on the radiator. I guess they switched it up on the 07s-08s
What kind of fan are you running ?
It's the actual coolant fan that comes on the bike I just wired it so that it will come on with a click of a switch
hey men how is it going..it is safe?
Yes, I have not had any problems what so ever. They actually have kits for it on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/261946238424
Hope this answers your question.
@@JOATD ok bro i will do the same like u did thanks!
Radiator fan not coming on when connected normally. I changed fuse and used a paper clip to test it and fan came on. What could be the issue? 05 gsxr 600
The Coolant Temperature Sensor Switch is bad
You know how on my video I take the plug out of a connector that is on the radiator that connected on the radiator is the coolant temperature sensor switch you need a new one.
Looking for some gsxr parts
U have any other way I can contact you but am looking for a key switch for 2001 gsxr 1000
why don't you just change the fan switch(sensor) to a 80 c, wil come in on 80
That's actually an awesome idea, but I think I just did it that way so that I can have control over it
@@JOATD i did it on my bike used a kwasaki sensor. Your vid is very use full , diy.. cheers
If fan manually connected will it affects the battery life?
The fan system still works like it's supposed to all you're doing is making a manual switch to be able to turn it on when you would like too. If you left the fan switch on while the bike was off it may affect it I don't technically know. I've never left the switch on while the bike was off. You're technically only turning it on when you're waiting in traffic or at long lights.
To answer ur questions yes it does. Not a big deal tho honestly as long as u dnt leave it on 24,7 u will be fine. Just as everything else has a life expectancy so does ur fan and battery. The battery is obviously wrking harder when its on and the fan is obviously running out of life the more its used.
Yo u on ig
