It's super easy to get one in no time at all since all 2 series are built in Mexico, and BMW can build them quickly for buyers because they don't have a lot of people on a waiting list!@markay6409
I own both 2025 m2 auto and 2022 m240 x drive. I get 23 mpg in m2 freeway and 32 mpg in the m240. Under 60 mph the m240 xdrive is faster. After 60 mph m2 all day.
M2 feels like a purpose built track car. Very panted and robust. M240 feels like a really fast daily driver. If you want to hurt feelings on you tube roll racing buy the m2. If you want to get good mpg and beat American muscle at stop lights get the m240 xdrive.
Both are winners and a new m240 xdrive is 55k to 61k. New m2 is 67k ish to 70k. Around 12-13k in price difference.

This explanation is exactly correct when I had a test the M2. I felt I got out of a roller-coaster after driving the M2, it is fun to drive.

Case:
21 college student getting masters degree and working
Current car: 2023 bmw 230i
I recently feel like i have gotten used to the power in the 4 cylinder and here are my list of options.
Get an exhaust for the 230i and save for a new car in 4ish years
Get a new more powerful car in 1-3 years M2/240/440
I drive 80 miles a day for school.
Fuel economy is a must for me like with the 230i I average 44mpg which is like unheard of but recently getting 38 average bc driving faster on highway average 85-90mph. Compared to like 70-75. I feel like I want/need more power to do more elaborate car stunts like better drifts and more effective manual mode. Since i normally just drive at the higher end. Idk if the gearbox is tuned to be longer with more power but that would make sense. One of the things I want in the next car is adaptive cruise ideally the good one which would make me drive slower bc cruise control less effort. I’d also like to know how much of a different adaptive dampers are as well as did I miss out not having the HK? I still want the efficiency but the smoothness of the 6 cyl seems like a dream. So what do I do bc I want this exhaust bc it has some pops and yes it is choke-able. I just need some advice from ideally anyone.
@@Blazergl I am driving an M50i which is V8. The V8 is another level compared to the inline six. Seriously, the fuel economy is the least concern to me because the depreciation, insurance and financing cost is way more than the fuel itself. If the fuel economy is important, then bmw is not for you. Or you should keep your 230i until you get a decent job.
Also, you need to grow your wealth by investing.
Before I solidified my decision to get my N, I briefly flirted with the idea of leasing an M240i. Really like the look of these cars.
N is a fun car with a great price tag, and the M240i xdrive would have been a different type of fun and crazy power bone stock from the B58! Try a bimmer next time around or a German car of any kind for a different experience imo!
@@speeddemon311 Oh definitely. BMW just makes a different class of car. Ultimately, insurance for the M240i was more than I wanted to spend, and I have exciting financial goals that are more important to me than a car. The N was my compromise.

Can't wait to see if they come out with the M2 xdrive like I'm hearing their going to do, and it will be interesting to see what the price hike will be! I might decide to snag one up if it happens!

damn I can’t decide between Toronto red and Zandvoort blue I been watching all your videos, red is super clean!!!
Zandvoort blue is not that nice in person, I got Toronto red and love it but not an option for 2025. They do have some individual colors to choose from now that are very cool
I feel like the Toronto Red can stand out more for obvious reasons of the color alone. Furthermore, the red pairs really well with gloss black accents and carbon fiber to make it 'pop' more. Although the Zandvoort blue is an amazing color as well for being an option and not an upcharge or upgrade. It's all personal preference of course, but I would definitely go with the Zandvoort blue only bc blue is one of my favorite colors. The blue does also pair well nicely with gloss black and carbon fiber, but it's more of a very calm compliment versus the Toronto Red with black accents which comes off as a more 'bold' look only due to the contrast of colors. I've definitely seen more Zandvoort blue's roaming around so maybe Toronto Red would be a good choice. Both are wins imo.
I just got one in z blue and it’s a polarizing color. Some people love it some people hate it the new red you’re gonna see a lot of so the blue is probably gonna stay rare for all the obvious reason.

Thanks for the information. If I'm not mistaken, back in 2022-2024 it was not an option to delete it.

2025 M240 I there is an option to delete the Moon Roof

@@speeddemon311 BMW make it too stiff. I have a Cayman which is soft on comfort and rock hard on sport. BMW can’t seem to do this degree of change in suspension.
@@Digiphex exactly it's terrible imo, and my 24 RS3 is a night and day difference like your Porsche!

I have an M340 which I am going to assume my cimments appry to the M240. The engine and transmission are great. Interior is boring but well built. The steering is simply awful. ZERO feedback. Handling is just okay but isn't going to blow you away - I have the track package. I also have graded brakes but the car definitly needs stronger brakes and better brake feel. If it wasn't for the outstanding drivetrain, the car would just be average. It is too damn heavy! Oh, and the M2 all day over the M240.
As you’ll see in the driving portion (coming out tomorrow) it drives great!
The steering is a known weak point in the M2, and I'm not sure BMW gets that right in any M car since I've driven several, and all were the same, pretty much! Also, the non perforated leather in my M240i feels good in the hands but makes my hands sweat annoyingly bad!
Neither car is my choice but the m2 looks cartoonish. Like someone tried and failed to install a very bad body kit.
If I didn't like a certain car, I'd be sure to click on the video just to comment that I don't like it. That makes perfect sense.

I pay $1500 full coverage for the year on my M240i xdrive and 24RS3! I'm pretty happy with how inexpensive it is for both!!@isaacmeyers-c8b
