Morrigan would NEVER greet anyone with a sweet "tis a pleasure to see you again" no matter how mellowed she has become. This is the woman who tried to kill her own mother figure, Flemeth. Depending on our choices she gives birth to a child bearing the soul of an Old God and ruthlessly tries to protect him even if she has to manipulate the Inquisition and the Orlesian Empire. Even a simple "So we meet again" would be far too warm. This one is not Morrigan; she's a people pleasing Disney character that flew in out of nowhere.
I'm afraid you may be... negatively indoctrinated by some powerful bigots and clearly oppose the idea of 'kindly-hearted Morrigan'. Therefore I need to ask, who do you think you are? Do you imply women are 'negative' by their nature? :p Joking btw

@mmendes98 no morrigan is not woke but the game is and everything in it suffered cause of it , ofc there was no time to import choices from previous games or write morrigan and other character correctly because devs had to focus on writing all the non binary scenes and other crap
@@mmendes98There a plenty of things that I think we could consider “woke” that are detrimental to the game, but I’ll agree Morrigan is just bad because of awful creative decisions.
If you really want the literal answer/spoiler search "Morrigan veilguard reveal". I think the performance and writing of this scene is correct for the other choices made for her storyline. It's really a matter of what you think of the other choices. You are right. She has changed.
PLEASURE PLEASURE PLEASURE PLEASURE LOOKING FORWARD LOOKING FORWARD LOOKING FORWARD Did a single person working in nubioware even play a dragon age game?
She gave birth to a god....maybe.... But new Bioware wipes out 3 games worth of decisions and walks away from the dark tone that made the original games so good. Additionally Morigan is never that nice. There would have to be a bargain for her to help.
While it's nice to hear Claudia Black's voice again. This characterization from Morrigan sounds far too much like Glenda the Good Witch, when Morrigan should be roasting everyone involved in the half-assed disruption of Solas' ritual. Morrigan will help you, but she makes you earn her help, and she will still call you a dumbass when you mess up.
So that's why I always liked Morrigan so much in terms of her voice, it's the actor who plays Vala Mal Doran from SG-1. Huh, never knew this and glad I know it now after all these years!
@@--JawZ-- Claudia Black is one of my favorite actresses ever since I first saw her in Farscape. In addition to her live action roles she's also done a bit of voice work as well voicing Uncharted's Chloe Fraser in addition to DA's Morrigan. Her voice is very distinctive in my opinion.
Ok ya'll...no spoilers but...Claudia Black is a great actress and is making choices based on changes Morrigan has gone through between games. Before you guess...the situation is actually more nuanced than that. i'm not 100% on board until seeing everything. But I am very intrigued and it is far from filler as well.
Ow.... what was that I just was subjected to. That is surely some sort of ... writing.... The animations? Uh boy...... I thought motion capture made this sort of lip-flap mismatch nearly impossible... Ah well.... and what kind of Spirit costume store did that guy get that facial hair from? His skin was oddly smooth like silly putty. Was it a possessed mannequin I was seeing?
So to the people that say wokeism or whatever is the problem. No….its not that they were inclusive that’s the problem. It’s the absolute garbage sterile and lifeless writing. Morrigan is supposed to be a prickly character who does morally questionable things to get what she wants. To make her this super kind person is like wtf. There are no stakes in games like this. You could have all the inclusive stuff, but like make the writing good. Like in inquisition when Dorian was gay. But he was hated by his father and hid it because he knew he wouldn’t be accepted. Instead in this world everyone has to accept everyone it’s just dumb
Most radical personality changes occur when you are a kid and growing up when you are adult yes you might change slightly over the years but not that much not to mention they changed every single character in this ''game''
@randomdude2546 But her personality hasn't changed that much. She's just not as sarcastic as she was in Origins. This was even acknowledged in Inquisition, when both Alistair and Leliana mention that she's mellowed out some.
This is a lame justification for lazy story writing. You don't just pop in to a character that don't act like themselves with no explanation. Thats bad writing.
@mmendes98 That would be bad writing, if that were the case. She still talks with the exact same cadence, she still uses the same vague, nondescript vernacular, she still dresses relatively the same. The only thing she doesn't do anymore is act like a sarcastic bitch to everyone that talks to her. AKA, she's matured. That tends to happen once you've had a kid.
Generally, people that are sarcastic in their 20s remain sarcastic in their 40s. If anything their sarcasm becomes more developed into a fine art of subtle annihilation where they burn people without the target ever being aware they just got burned, but everyone around them recognizes that they've been utterly disrespected. Also, because the freeing of the Elven gods is kind of the main character's fault Morrigan should be giving you an earful over how incompetent you are and she has to step in to make sure you clean up the mess you made without making things any worse than you've already made them.

Maybe the Warden at max approval. She's also a shockingly good mother to Kieran but those are rare exceptions. But otherwise 100% correct.
