I Wrote an Original Song

I struggle with being a perfectionist, so it can be really tough when working with complex melodies. I have a tendency to get discouraged and not push through the extremely laborious parts of the creative process. There has also been a learning curve to increasing my skills in basic audio production (since I do everything myself for the channel). At least this progression will be a great benefit for all future content here. I have a great system set up now.
I wrote this song over many, many months after forming the general melody and substance in my mind. It starts with the questions, and ends with Christ, just as everything in our lives points to Him. The Alpha and Omega, The First and the Last, the Beginning and The end.
Please be aware of the context of this video. It was initially filmed to address fellow Christians. I never intend to be pushy in trying to convince others to believe as I do, just as I appreciate that extension of respect from others.
That being said, I truly believe that Jesus Christ alone holds the keys to eternal life, and that He wants a personal relationship with everyone. I'm probably not the best at explaining things, as I frequently get tangled in my own words. But would be willing to talk with anyone who wants to explore the implications of this. God has done amazing things in my life, and filled a void that nothing or no one else could.
I do plan on working on more content for my faith based channel (link below) should anyone want to subscribe over there. I don't frequently release videos like this here on JDVC:

I consider them good friends, and recommend the teachings and prophecy updates by Steve Mitchel and John Haller (as well as the other elders from time to time) This is the closest church I've been able to find near me that doesn't promote various forms of false doctrine, or place a heavy emphasis on the vain traditions of men. I have driven nearly 7 hours over a weekend last year just to meet up with these encouraging brothers and sisters in Christ. Their ministry has been beneficial to my personal growth, so I wanted to extend this information to anyone who is looking for Biblically solid resources to listen to (especially during this time when many things are shut down)

This is a perfect example of why we should always follow our heart and be yourself . We never know how we fit in to God's tapestry and we are no even close to perfect , but by trusting the Lord and yourself , with his guidance you're always going to be in the right place at the right time . Thanks JD for sharing so honestly , we can all learn good things from your example .

A lot of people don't understand the way Jesus works. I had an urgency to read the bible, 9 months later I lost my voice. 11 months later I was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer. I do no treatment and I put all my trust in God and layed all my problems at his feet. I have no fear. Supposed to be dead 6 months ago. I am here only because of God's grace. Beautiful song. I asked God what my mission is in life. I have told my testimony when I could, I was baptized, that was my commitment to God. NOBODY can tell me there is no God. He's here with me now. Amen. I am only 59 Yeats old.

JD, I have watched your channel for awhile now and have enjoyed everything about it. But yesterday's post was your best. I have been inpressed with you and your work ethic, passion or maybe just you. You give this 67 year old hope for your generation that I have not had. And then you raised the bar even further. Your openness about your faith was refreshing to say the least. Thank You. Your song was great also but pales to your words about Job and his trials and tribulations. I feel and know you have had yours lately also. You are easily loved and you knowledges beyond your years. In the future I'll see if I can find someone else to sing it with, or possibly have some background instrumentals added (I can't play any instruments) I was born again when I was young, but God never ceases to remind me of what it's all about, just another season in this amazing journey. JD....you captured your heart in melody!! To believe in the sacrifice God and Christ made is, in many ways, the hardest thing to digest, but digest we must. It's so hard for me to realize that the young boy Jesus knew from early on he was going to relinquish his life for Mankind's sins and to think how mind numbing it must've been in the Garden of Gethsemane where the soldiers took him to his impending death He knew precisely what was ahead!! The Devil tried to sway Him from that fate, but it was not to be!! Nice song!! Find your path and stick to it!!
