I once read that spirits try to communicate with people in their normal voices, but that people often don't hear it in their regular volume due to the spirits not being physical beings. So I imagine that the screeches, coughs, knocks and throwing things are just ghosts getting frustrated at people not seeing, hearing or understanding them when they're trying to answer them normally.
One thing to add is that evil/negative spirits feed off of fear so they try and scare people by doing those things to get more power from those hearing them and getting scared

I find it amazing that you guys can stay in a place like this for hours on end communicating with ghosts and joking around but still managing to make an entirely serious video. The whistles, screeches, touching and anything else in any other videos like the door in the ancient ram Inn make this all seem so real. There's a reason that I love these videos and that's because no matter how many times you make jokes as soon as something shows up everyone is serious.
